Chi Lang was thinking about why in the memories of the experts in the void there wasn't even one of those who managed to conquer it and receive the memories of the dead experts like he did, all of this caused a headache to Chi Lang so he decided to ignore it for now and concentrate on cultivating, and when he finish his matters in this world he will try returning to the void to learn more, but first he have to obtain his revenge and also put his family in a point where no one can even dare to think to harm them.

For now he had to learn a skill.

In hia previous life Chi Lang learned only water based skills that infused water ki in his attacks but now he didn't have any type of ki to help him execute those skills so he decided to learn a base skill of the Xulong Yongshi that didn't need ki. Chi Lang was thinking about what martial art he had the best possibilities of learning, the Xulong Yongshi had various types of skills based on parts of the body, there were styles that utilized only the legs other that utilized the plant of the foot, there is even a technique that utilize the head as a weapon.

The martial skills are subdivided in seven levels and every level is subdivided in: Lower tier, Mid tier and Upper tier.

The seven levels of the skills are:

Yellow level

Green level

Blue Coal level

Vermilion steel level

Golden blood-diamond level

Black jade level

White cosmic iron level

The last four levels were only known as legend to the common folk in the Xue Feng continent.

Chi Lang concentrated on his memories of the skills of the Xulong Yongshi, thousands of peculiar methods flashed in his mind but there were little that could be practiced using his current cultivation. The rest of the techniques needed at least the formation of a core in the dantian or other special requirements.

[Heavenly Pentagram Punch]

This technique was created by the Heavenly Dao Follower Lang to help the young Dao Followers in their training and at the same time giving them a way to defend themselves. The Heavenly Pentagram Punch consist of a punch powered by the raw power of muscles, a fine way of directing power and follows a set of rules of the Dao. This skill is the base of the Heavenly Way Of The World and can be improved further. This skill is subdivided in five level of understanding: First Form, Second Form, Third Form, Fourth Form and Fifth Form. This skill was further enhanced by the Xulong Yongshi sect.

The first skill Chi Lang choose was a skill that consisted of a punch of raw power and finesse. This skill could even be improved to another level if one wanted. The only problem faced by Chi Lang was that this skill couldn't be used in every clash, so he decided to cultivate also another skill. Chi Lang initially thought of choosing a skill of sword but opted to do not because the way of the sword is too profound and need it's time to be useful, instead he started searching for a skill of claw or another sharp part of the body. Chi Lang started searching within his mental library, hours passed by without him finding anything. But Chi Lang knew that his search will be long because he wanted a skill that didn't need the usage of ki and that skill also needed to be one that used a sharpened part of the body.

[Descending Dragon Claws]

This technique is based on the might race of the Dragons and has a portion of their power in it. It consist of a leap toward the heaven and a mighty descend on the hearth clawing on those who dare to oppose you. This skill is the base foundation of the Methods Of The Three Dragons and helps in the harmonization with the earth and the sky. This skill doesn't utilize ki or any type of energy other than the raw strength of muscles and the power borrowed from the earth and the sky to fuel it. This skill is subdivided in three level of understanding: Eagle Form, Tai Bird Form and Dragon Form. This skill was further enhanced by the Xulong Yongshi sect.

'Found it !'

Chi Lang was elated and happy because he found a skill that can help him now but also have the possibility to be cultivated even further. If he wanted to become stronger faster to escape death, what was better than having a precise road already laid down?

Chi Lang went to the courtyard inside the residence and told the servants to exit from it. Chi Lang didn't want anyone to see his methods as they were truly out of this world, if someone ever knew that he had some foreigner world's knowledge and heavenly skills wouldn't they want to capture him and interrogate him? Chi Lang didn't want to know what would happen if someone with strength got to know, he still didn't have any confidence in his strength to oppose those who would attack him and his family for those methods.

The courtyard was a small garden with a stream of small dimensions flowing with calming water. The stream divided the garden in two and gave a faint feeling of unity with nature, the stream had various stones with flat surface sprouting in it. There were even some small fishes swimming calmly adding even more mystical charm to the garden. The grass was so green that almost hurt the eyes, occasionally in the grass small zones of exotic coloured flowers spread. On the other half of the garden was a small Hut of brown wood that didn't seem out of place in that paradise of colours and peace. The Hut seem to be a hunting Hut but gave also an imposing feeling. On the top of the wooden door were two words written in a simple and imposing manner.

'WEAPON STOCK'

Chi Lang ignored it and went to a small patch of grass in an angle of the courtyard to start reading the book.

Chi Lang opened the Descending Dragon Claws book inside his mind and was instantly flooded with informations about the skill 'Descending dragon claws', there were information about stances, required mindset and informations about the origins and credits of the skill and its creator, there was even a biography of the creator and how he thought of this method after forming a brotherhood relationship with the 'Radiant Western Dragon', the creator was later known as the 'Devil Dragon Emperor'. Coincidentally the 'Devil Dragon Emperor' lived in this world as he spoke about his prime youth in the Xue Feng continent, altough that happened over sixteen thousand and five hundred years ago.

After reading the book fully Chi Lang went toward a big stone that was in the river and sat down, in his head he opened the book again and went directly toward the  postures section, it was a type of book with illustrations and a meticulous description of every stance.

After visualizing the first posture in his head, Chi Lang got up.

Following the first posture Chi Lang opened his legs by 120 degrees and curved his knees at the level of the abdomen then extended his arms at the same degrees of the legs in front of him. After that Chi Lang pulled every inch of power in his body and started following the rules of harmonization and powerbuilding written in the manual of the 'Descending Dragon claws'. In his legs raw power of muscles harmonized themselves with the earth, energy started swirling as if Chi Lang legs were one with the ground.

Chi Lang pushed the earth as if he was soaring toward the heaven, instantly cracks spread on the ground and a ground shaking sound exploded from where Chi Lang was. When Chi Lang pushed the ground with his legs, the power of the 1050 Jin and the power gained from the harmonization with the earth unleashed at his full potential and he leaped like an arrow launched from a bow.

When Chi Lang was in the sky at 10 meter of distance from the ground he pulled his legs back toward his back and extended his hands toward the heaven and formed claws with his fingers. Chi Lang closed his eyes and started listening to the wind, th wind had an apparently uneven sound but after what seemed hours in Chi Lang mind the wind started forming a precise and unique rhythm sound. The sound was peaceful and at the same time was also ravaging and tyrannical. Chi Lang was in a state of peace and didn't notice the swirling winds that surrounded his hands.

Chi Lang started falling but was still in his state of peace of mind. His body started moving as if it was following the instructions of the winds like how a tigress teaches her cub to hunt. Chi Lang hands started descending when he was almost in the ground. Suddenly his legs launched themselves in front of him at the same time his hands clawed at incredible speed in the same direction. The force released by his legs propelled him towards another stone ten meters backwards and his hand released the force collected from the wind and the sky in one move.

BOOOM SWISHH

A thunderous sound diffused in the courtyard followed by a sound of air being hacked in two. A second after the sonic boom two sudden waves of tyrannical water rose challenging the sky to fall, they were at least two meters high! The water in the river wasn't very profound so the waves almost emptied it.

Chi Lang mouth almost fell to the ground, after a minute the water returned to the stream as if nothing happened, only the wet ground and the incredulous Chi Lang remained to testimony the might of the 'Descending Dragon Claws'. Chi Lang shook his head and organized his thoughts.

'The skills practiced by the Xulong Yongshi really aren't so simple'

Chi Lang thought to himself.

 "Xiao Lang are you alright?! What happened?!"

 Two servants and his big brother Chi Feng came rushing to Chi Lang with worried faces.

"Big Brother, Chi lang was just trying a new skill"

"How could you manage to create so much power when you aren't even in the Core Forming Stage?"

Chi Feng knew that his little brother wasn't lying but how could he not doubt him when his brother was still in the Body strengthening realm? The sound was defying and tyrannical how could his sick little brother do it? Such thoughts were filling Chi Feng mind.

"Big Brother I fear I cannot answer your question now, but I swear that I will tell you when the time is right"

Chi Lang looked in Chi Feng eyes and smiled genuinely. Chi Feng was really curious what his little brother hid but he knew that if his brother said that he can't answer him now the there is a good motive, when the right time comes his brother will surely say the reason to him.

"Alright I will wait but if something happens tell me"

Chi Lang was happy and his heart was warmed by his brother words and unconditional trust in him. He secretly sweared again in his heart to make everything in his possibilities to protect his family.

"Then Xiao Lang I will let you continue with your training in peace. "

Chi Feng turned and started walking followed by the servants toward the exit.

"Also big brother, thanks for saving me from the beast"

Chi Lang calm and composed voice was extremely soft but still reached Chi Feng.

"We are brothers, there is no need for thanks between us"

Chi Feng words resounded in Chi Lang heart like bell and made his resolve even more firm.

After the servants and his brother exited the courtyard Chi Lang also exited the courtyard and went toward the gate of the Chi clan mansion, then after he passed the gate he circumnavigated the house and went to the forest, after walking for some minutes he found himself in the place where he was attacked some weeks before. He went to a small zone of green grass and sat down.

Chi Lang decided that if he had to try his skills is better if he did it in secret where no one can see him.

In his mind he opened the book titled 'Heavenly Pentagram Punch', this book was organized in a similar fashion to the book 'Descending Dragon Claws' but this time it had another section dedicated to the rules of the Dao. Chi Lang  browsed the book and started reading the various section. The first section was an introduction, the second were the credits of the creator and the Xulong Yongshi sect. The third section was the real start of the book and illustrated the first stance of the skill.

Chi Lang got up and started following the instructions. He extended his left foot to the front and retracted his right one backwards, then he put his left arm in front of him and curved it to cover his face after that he retracted his right hand to the extreme as if he was charging a launch of javelin. After that he closed his eyes and started emptying his mind of worldly thoughts. His mind was now empty and indifferent like the void that gave him a second possibility. A state of peace extended from his mind toward the earth passing by his body. The site of peace was similar but still different from the state he was in when he was utilizing the Descending Dragon Claws, it was something more similar to the state he was in when he was starting to be assimilated by the void.

If someone saw him they would see a piece of colored stone with the form of a young man that sprouted from the earth as it was a part of it.

Chi Lang right arm curved to the extreme until his fist touched his shoulder. Suddenly his right hand disappeared and appeared extended toward the front. His back curved toward the front as if it was following the thrown fist, but his eyes were still closed and his expression was serene as ever.

BOOOM

After seconds that seemed hours a devastating sound resounded toward the heaven.

BOOOM FWISHHH

A little later winds solidified in front of the fist and attacked the front of Chi Lang, hurricanes were created at the sides of his fist.

CRACK

 A tree that was in front of Chi Lang cracked by the pressure of the heavenly wind. This time Chi Lang wasn't really surprised because he already knew the might of the Xulong Yongshi skills but was nonetheless happy to see the results.

'The Xulong Yongshi sect really isn't simple, neither their skills are. I don't dare to immagine the 'Vermilion steel level' techniques of the Xulong Yongshi sect. But for now it's better if I think about mastering those Yellow level skills'
