(VERY OLD)
I talk, you choose.

I talk, you choose.

Sorry, not a chapter update this time. \ |● v ●| /

Keeping a long story short, I'm planning to rewrite this fiction. The new version will have the same premise, plot, and characters. Not much will change, really, other than some big alterations to the style and, hopefully, the quality of the writing.

Anyway, the poll will be open for one week, so take your pick;

If it's the first option, I will stop updating as soon as I finish the arc (of which there are 2 chapters left) and instead upload a new rewrite of the arcanist.

Pros  >Enjoy a brand new Arcanist that has better writing and a more cohesive plot.

Cons  >Starting a new game plus will result in you losing all progress.

If it's the second, I will continue this one while working on a rewrite on the side, which I will only start uploading after part 1 is finished (right now we're about two-thirds of the way).

Pros  >Continue with the story until the end of Part 1.

Cons  >Once I start uploading the rewrite, you'll wait longer until it catches up with the original.

Spoiler: This will bore you.

Spoiler: Seriously.

Spoiler: Alright then, if you're that interested... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I started working on this fiction as a hobby and an experiment. Recently, though, I'm beginning to take it more seriously, as in I'm actually considering taking it to a more professional level. So why the rewrite, you ask?

Firstly, I feel like the current level of writing is inadequate. It may be fine on a glance, but if you look at it on a larger scale, the whole thing is a mess. The timeskip in the beginning is chaotic, and the overall pacing is on an excruciating snail's pace. This isn't what I wanted at all.

The second reason is the style. If I want to achieve my goal, I'd need to gain more readership, and that means presenting the story in a more accepted way. Right now I'm writing in a rather unusual style (first person present) which is a questionable way to narrate, to say the least. The reason why I chose this style in the first place is because there's some parts of the narration that couldn't be done otherwise. However, I've learned some time ago that the same can be achieved with any other.

Also, first person present will no longer be enough to cover the larger scope of Part 2's plot.

And there you have it.
