" Oh my dear Judah, seems like you're still pretty dense.", I replied," I am the king, the one who established all of this."

" It's Alzeid to you, young man."

" Stand down you! He is the king and you WILL show him respect!", the headmaster suddenly bellowed. Everyone was surprised as the headmaster does look very feeble.

" Great example of integrating magic into the simplest of actions, headmaster."

" I am humbled, my highness."

" So, Judah. You obviously have something against me.", I speak up." so why don't we settle it the old fashioned way, with a duel."

" My lord! Please forgive this young o"

" Fine!", Judah responded.

The corners of my lips curve upwards a I teleported the headmaster and the students to the arena. The arena is designed similarly to the colosseum in Greece. The only differences being its rectangular, high-tech and made of special materials made to withstand at least a blow from me.

" This is where we shall settle this matter. No killing, everything else is fair game, we have the second best healers here!" I proclaim.

As the students file into the arena, I get into position and try my best to look menacing. I switch my formal attire to a more agile outfit. Instead of a cloak. I have a jacket that covers only until the the bottom of my rib cage, leaving my waist open for ease of movement. I also have something like a skirt but it only covers the back, like my cloak. Other than that I'm wearing pants of softer material with guards all around and the same long sleeved black shirt I always wear. Now i know i may seem like some anime character that always wears the same clothes, but I'm not, it just so happens to be that i really like these clothes.

" Hey Judah, since you managed to enter the academy, you should have awakened your magic right? And if you have any powers it should also have awakened too."

" Of course I do, I even have an offensive power. Why? Starting to shake in your boots? You may be politically powerful, but you're just a weak cry baby that has to hide behind our troops."

Wow. I didn't expect Judah to be so dense, and so bitchy.

" Yeah let see how cocky you an get when I hand your ass back to you." I say as i surround myself with a black aura.

" Flashstep!", Judah suddenly shouted as he teleported behind me , leaving behind a trail of lightning.

Judah appears behind me and tries to stab me in my back. Honestly, it surprised me. Who knew that he of all people would have my dead comrades power.

I de-materialized myself, turned into a black fog and phase backwards, through Judah. Once I was behind him i materialized myself, summoned a rapier and pointed it towards Judah's neck.

" Give up yet? It's surprising that you have my dead comrade's power."

" Flas. Ughk". I hit Judah in the jaw with the guard of my rapier before he finishes saying the name of his power. Normal people would think that it is stupid the scream the name of their powers, however they need to do so as they cannot properly visualize their own powers without a 'catalyst'.

" Give up you useless tirade, my powers, combat proficiency and experience are leaps and bounds ahead of yours.", I suggest," No matter how you try, I will always beat you."

Judah,being the stubborn man that he is, refused to give up.

I dodged all his attacks effortlessly.

" Flashstep!" Judah once again tries to activate his power. As I try to stop him, my consciousness slipped. I get stabbed in my thigh. I fell onto one knee, coughing blood as my heart clenches. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead as I clench my teeth and lost consciousness

" My lord!"

Alzeid suddenly fainted during his match. Right now a number of the teachers are escorting him towards the infirmary.

" HAHAHA AVITUS IS SUCH A SCRUB!"

" Stop it Judah, Alzeid didn't fall because of you. In fact, he was handling you pretty well."

" Whats wrong with Alzeid?" I asked the headmaster.

" Why should tell you? You and your friend caused this in the first place!"

" If I ask Alzeid to replace you I am very sure he won't deny me. Don't you know that we were in the same class before he left?"

" Fine! If you want to know so bad, then ask him yourself!"

" Just tell them, I'm sure our lord won't mind.", a young woman suddenly said," I am Alzeid's secretary, you can call me Liz.".

" If Alzeid gets mad, I will blame you without a second thought! But well, regarding Alzeid's condition, his injuries from a few years ago, when he first came to our world are acting up. This causes him great pain. Also, Alzeid is cursed, the curse is suppressing his all his powers, including regeneration. None of the healers, scientists, shamans, priests and magicians can lift the curse. In fact, the curse is so complicated and impenetrable that it seems like Alzeid cursed himself!"

" When he first came to your world? You mean Alzeid was born on earth?"

" Yes, well it's a really long story, and I'm sure that Alzeid would rather not share some parts of it.
