" Goodbye."

That was two years ago.

When Av...Alzeid disappeared. Well he didn't technically disappear. Seeing that he appeared on the news, in the live broadcast of negotiations between his world and ours.

Not long after Alzeid left, the human race made contact with another world. Not much of the other world was revealed, all we know is that the other world,s technology is generations ahead of us and magic exists.

The specific kingdom that came into contact with us is said to be the most powerful and that their king single-handedly advanced their technology and magic by leaps and bounds.

After a little googling, it was easy to tell that the king was, unsurprisingly, Alzeid.

During the negotiations, Alzeid gave the other world leaders no room for argument.

China wanted Alzeid to release all their technology to them, they said that their country specifically deserved it, that they were the most responsible.

Russia wanted all documents pertaining to the development of magic.

In response to that, Alzeid threatened by saying that he could raze the entire country at a whim. He also made it a point to tell them that he is, as of now, the most powerful person on earth.

In the end two different orders we made.

The hunters order, an organisation which consists purely of forces from the other world. This order, as the name suggests, hunts down 'enemies'. 'Enemies' consist of people who abuse magic, invaders from other worlds and criminals who are too much for earthly forces to handle.

The other order, is the apprentice order. This order is more of a magic academy than an actual order. Everyone aged 10 to 16 will have to take a compulsory aptitude test. The test tests on your intelligence and magical aptitude. Those who pass the extremely strict test will be given a scholarship into the apprentice's academy, a giant castle in the sky above the pacific ocean. The order aims to cultivate magic within people of earth, though students from the other world also attend. Those who do very well during the exams will be given the choice to join the hunters order, of course, it is a high risk high return offer.

I was one of the 500 students that managed to pass the test.

" Lukatiel!", Judah calls out to me," Stop daydreaming, we're gonna be late for the opening ceremony!".

" Wait up guys!"

" Reinhold, why the hell did you bring three suitcases full of things?!"

The two of them kept bickering on the way to the main hall.

The pathway to the main hall was extremely ornate, there are exotic plants all along both sides of the path, there are marble columns every so often and a long magic shield which is used as a roof for the pathway. This castle like academy is all around pretty white.

The entrance to the hall is massive, two doors about seven meters tall 3 meters wide and half a meter thick make up most of the entrance. The doors have mirrored designs, the doors are black with gold patterns.

When we entered the hall, almost everyone had already seated down.

Judah, Reinhold and I found a place for us to sit. A tall, skinny and old man walks up to the microphone.

" I am Fulco, the headmaster of this academy. I would like to personally welcome you to my academy, however we have an important guest speaker who is short on time, so without further ado.".

The headmaster then steps down from the mic. And a slim teenager with short white hair, except for his for two long locks of hair on his sides, in front of his ears steps up.

" Good morning freshmen! My name is Alzeid and I welcome you to your new life in the academy of the apprentice order!"
