Chapter 41 Arms deal

Yuan let out a long, frustrated sigh "And what are you, anyway? Some homeless dude, I guess?"

The wanderer nodded. "Kinda… but cooler and innocent."

"'Innocent'…?" Yuan couldn't help a small snicker. "Oh please, no one that looks like you is innocent."

"Oh come on… I'm a cute boy."

"Tch—…" Yuan looked him up and down. "No, no, you just look like some drug addict with your hair and your clothes…"

"No, I don't do drugs.” his left eyes twitches” You are more crackhead than me."

Yuan scoffed, crossing her arms. "I don't do drugs either, unlike you. You look like you've been sleeping under a bridge for the past five years…"

"No, I sleep in random women's homes. Just after I flirt with them in bars."

Yuan rolled her eyes. "God, you're more than a smartass, you're a smartass player too, huh?"

"No, I'm a man with principles."

Yuan laughed. "And what principles? Please tell me, I'm so curious to know what someone as cool as you thinks is morally right…"

"I tease women for fun."

Meredith's eyes widened. "Are you… for real? You're bullshitting me, right?"

The wanderer glanced sideways. "No… how about we come and see?"

Yuan rolled her eyes and stood up, crossing her arms. "Sure, lead the way, smartass."

"Good… so you just allow some vagabond to ask you on a date, huh? You cheap woman."

Yuan grabbed him by the collar, pinning him against the wall, her face inches from his. "Don't you dare call me 'cheap', understand?"

"Alright… rich? Hehe."

Yuan rolled her eyes and tightened her grip. "What, do you have a death wish, smartass?"

"Shhh… stop it. And let's go to the beach or something."

Yuan stared at him in annoyance for a moment before releasing him. "Fine, but you better not do anything stupid, alright?"

"Good… wear those skimpy clothes."

Yuan rolled her eyes and muttered, "Pervert," under her breath. "I don't have skimpy clothes, dumbass."

The wanderer raised his eyebrows.completly shock behind his subtle reaction. since he notice all sin city dweller on street is always wear minimal clothes. "You don't? Really? Are you some… little girl behind that facade?"

Yuan groaned, irritated. "No, I'm not a little girl, okay? It's just that you're talking to an agent. My job is serious; I can't walk around in skimpy clothes."

"Hehe… I see… so you are a paper agent. Not the agent who likes flirting with random informants for info."

Yuan scoffed, crossing her arms. "I'm more of a 'beat random informants' ass' kind of agent, okay? I do paperwork, but only when I'm really bored."

"Good, girl. Now let's go. You drive."

"I should have seen that one coming," Yuan muttered, grabbing her keys. "Fine, get in. But no funny business, alright?"

"I will do funny things. Don't worry."

"I swear to God, if you make a single movement on me that is out of line, I will end you. Understood?" Yuan got in the car and started the engine, waiting for him.

"Yeah, yeah, sure. Whatever…"

Yuan rolled her eyes again and started driving towards the nearest beach. When they reached the main road, the SUV seamlessly transitioned into autonomous mode. The steering wheel retracted into the dashboard, and a holographic display shimmered to life on the windshield, showing a map of Sin City and various points of interest. Wanderer leaned back, watching the cityscape glide by "You're just way too cocky, you know that?"

"Yes. And you love it."

"Tch—not on your life, smartass."

Wanderer then looked outside. The road they were on was well-maintained, a testament to the private company that managed this particular stretch. But just a block away, he could see a street riddled with potholes and crumbling buildings, likely neglected due to lack of funding or a dispute between competing property owners. Overhead, a network of tangled cables and pipes crisscrossed the sky, evidence of the city's haphazard growth and the lack of centralized planning. A few minutes later, they arrived. east of sin city was a Lake Balkhash, but locals just call them a sea because the its vastness.

Yuan stopped the car and got out, gesturing for him to follow.

"Come on… when was the last time you got a date anyway? Last decade?" wanderer tease. then look at the enviroment. the blue water. the sin city sky creepers in background. and in south part of desert. the its was mix of dark ash ground with brownish red.

Yuan groaned. "This is not a date. I'm just driving you to the beach because you're too stupid to find it yourself, that's all."

"Thanks."

Yuan crossed her arms, looking around, then at him. "Don't get too excited, dumbass, this is not an invitation to make any move on me. Got it?"

"At least you are my personal driver now… it's good progress."

"Personal driver, my ass. I'll drive you here and then drive back, you got it?" Yuan frowned, looking around. "Also, why the hell did you even bring me here? You want to swim?"

The wanderer sat on the sand. "Just shut up… and relax."

Yuan sighed in frustration and sat next to him. "You're really not making my job of not killing you easier, smartass."

"Heh. You go kill random hobo? That is waste of energy and bullet."

Yuan sighed and shook her head, slightly amused. "Tch—fine, fine, no killing. Even though you're really tempting me to do it, you smartass."

"Hmhm… good. Stretch your legs. So I can rest in your lap."

Yuan groaned, her eye twitching. "You're not gonna rest in my lap. Stop trying. Got it?"

"Come on… just do it. And we both happy."

Yuan groaned again. "God, you're really a pain in the ass, you know that?"

"Shhh, do it."

"Tch—…" Yuan sighed. "Fine, I'll do it. But I swear, if you do anything stupid I will kick your ass off me."

"Good."

Yuan groaned as he rested in her lap. She tried to ignore him but found it incredibly irritating. She rolled her eyes as he got comfortable. "You’re pretty damn comfortable, huh?"

"Yes. You too."

Yuan scoffed. "Tch, you can't be talking, smartass, you're the one being all comfortable and cozy in my lap despite being a total stranger."

"Yeah. And you allow it. Woman."

Yuan rolled her eyes and let out a small laugh. "Oh, shut up… I'm just letting you lay in my lap because you keep bugging me about it, not because I want to. Understand?" She kept her hand on his head, lightly running her fingers through his hair.

"So… you start enjoy it… tsundere?"

Yuan groaned at the nickname but couldn't deny enjoying the feeling of his hair. She kept running her fingers through it. "Stop using these stupid words on me, okay, smartass?"

"So… tell about yourself… dweeb."

Yuan sighed, but answered anyway, still playing with his hair. "What do you want to know about me, smartass?"

"Everything… your dream and desire… and why the heck you here."

Yuan rolled her eyes. "My dream and desires? I don't know, to be honest. I'm not really the type to have many dreams and desires. But let's just say, I always want to succeed in my job." She paused. "Why the hell am I here? Well, I'm here in sin City 'cause that's where I live and work, smartass."

"So… you just see work as your… whole personality? Dang, girl… you are robot."

Yuan rolled her eyes. "No, I do not see my work as my whole personality, smartass. I do have a life outside of work too, you know? I have friends and hobbies too, I'm not a damn robot."

"Show me… what your hobbies? Hunting young man in apps?"

Yuan groaned. "What? You think I spend my time 'hunting young men' ? Jeez, you're really something… Uh—my hobbies, hm? I like golfing, jogging, working out… and I also have a gun collection that I really like."

"Ahh! Show me your arsenal!"

Yuan raised an eyebrow and smirked. "What? You want to see my guns?"

"Yep."

Yuan rolled her eyes, but seemed amused. "Alright, alright, I'll show you my arsenal then, smartass. But don't go playing with them, alright? I don't want your dumb ass to accidentally shoot yourself or something…"

They went to the back of Meredith's car, where she showed him her gun collection.

"So… what is your best collection?"

Yuan crossed her arms and smirked. "My best collection, huh?" She thought for a moment. "I'd say it's gotta be my sniper…" She took out her sniper rifle, showing it to him.

"Do it had name?"

Yuan raised an eyebrow and smirked. "A name? Yeah, it has a name. I call it 'Widowmaker'."

"Because its make widow?"

Yuan snorted a laugh and nodded. "Something like that, yeah. I called it 'Widowmaker' because it's good at making widows, as you said."

"That is kinda… sound evil you see."

Yuan smirked and shrugged. "Well, I did tell you that I'm not exactly the 'good person' type, smartass."

"Good… do you had shotgun?"

Yuan laughed and took out her shotgun. "Heh, here it is. My favorite shotgun. It's called 'The Sovereign'."

"What the name is kinda cringe? Is this from Poland?"

Yuan smirked and shrugged. "What? You got a problem with the names I have for my guns or something, smartass?"

"Good… hmmh… I love it."

Yuan raised an eyebrow and smirked. "My gun collection? Or the names I gave them?"

"You."

Yuan rolled her eyes, but was amused. "Heh, you're a goddamn simp, you know that, smartass?"

"Shhh. Kiss me."

Yuan was taken aback. "Huh—… kiss you? Woah, hey, slow down, smartass." She smirked, amused by his cockiness, and moved closer. "Heh, you're a pushy, annoying bastard, you know that?"

"Hehe. I know you are want me."

Yuan rolled her eyes, her smirk widening. "Tch—and what makes you so damn sure I 'want' you, smartass?"

"I will cuddle after that."

Yuan groaned, but his comment piqued her interest. "Tch—… fine. But just for a bit, ya hear me?"

(Later, after an implied intimate encounter…)

Yuan looked down at him, amused. "Heh, you really are a damn masochist, aren't you?"

"Shhh, cuddle times, dweeb."

Yuan sighed. "Heh, you're definitely a clingy one, aren't you? But fine, I'll cuddle you, dumbass."

"Good."

Yuan moved to lie beside him, wrapping her arms around him.

"Who is my good girl?"

Yuan rolled her eyes and muttered, "...Me, I'm your good girl…"

(After a nap in the car…)

Yuan rolled her eyes and looked at him with a smirk. "Heh, you just fell asleep like that, clinging onto me, didn't you?"

"Yes…"

"So you will sell good weapon for me, isn't?"

Yuan rolled her eyes, her usual cocky attitude returning. "Heh, depends on what you're looking for, smartass. But as long as you're paying, I'll see what I can do…"

"Good… can I get a tank?"

Yuan raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Heh, a tank? Why the hell do you want a tank?"

"I don't know… a revolution? Hehe."

Yuan couldn't help but laugh. "Heh, planning on overthrowing the Series 9, are we?"

"Yep."

Yuan snickered and rolled her eyes again. "Heh, typical dumbass move, but I'll see what I can do…"

"Thanks. Plus a mortar. Artillery. And military drones."

Yuan nodded, a smirk forming on her face. "Heh, got it, smartass. I'll see what I can do for you, just know that if the military catches wind, they'll come after you, and me. Understand?"

"You are my good girl, huh?" The wanderer rubbed her cheek.
