Jameson awoke to the sound of his doorbell. He quickly threw some clothes on and stumbled towards the door, still half asleep. He quickly answered the door for the deliverymen who were handling his new extra large virtual chamber. It had cost him $200 extra, but at least now he could fully extend his legs, as normal virtual reality chambers were made for people six feet tall and smaller. Indeed, he would've gladly paid it 5 times over, because today at exactly 9 A.M, the new virtual reality game, New Paths, would be available for the public.
There were actually already players inside, people who had been loyal to the franchise from the beginning, who got early access after the beta testers were done. The difference was, those who got in on the early access, the EA's, didn't have to give up their items and skills when the game officially started, as the beta testers had to. Jameson hadn't been so lucky and was neither a beta tester nor an EA, but he was determined to conquer the game regardless, because he had what so many people didn't have: real world experience.

He never went to some fancy dojo, and never learned any weapon techniques. No, what he had was good, old fashioned, hand -to-hand combat skills, sharpened on hordes of would-be bullies who all wanted to be the one to take down 'The Big Guy'. They had all thought he would be an easy target because of his quiet nature and love of books. They had all been wrong.
He decided he would win in the game the same way, using his hands and feet as his weapons. At 8:59 He got into the fully operational virtual reality chamber and turned it on.
Will you walk your path?
"Yes!"
