A long time ago, I was but a normal man, living naught but a normal life.
Of course, that did not last long. Upon my tragic end, a strange being offered me a new life. I gladly accepted his offer, of course.
However, I could not rid myself of the hatred I bore towards those of my old world. Therefore, in order not to fall into depression, I guided my hatred towards this new world.
With my endless armies of monsters, I razed countless kingdoms to the ground, brought many races to extinction and brought an age of darkness upon this world.
I was known as the Night King, but my real name was unknown.
For even I had forgotten.
Eventually, my end came. It wasn't a pretty end, but at least it wasn't one I cannot accept.
A hero had been called down from another world and thinking back on it, I presume he came from the same world I did.
His progress was terrifying. In less than a month, he came to be almost as powerful as me.
The final battle was earth-shattering. The entirety of the surviving humanoid races banded together and fought back against my endless hordes.
In the end, even my immortal and ever-regenerating body was destroyed by a combined desperate attack by every single human. It was almost surreal.
As my body disintegrated, I looked at the hero straight in the eyes. His shining sword had stabbed through my heart, in more ways than one.
I remember reaching out to him with my hand and whispering a silent thank you before I died. Even I do not understand the strange sense of release I felt upon the void that is death.
So here I am now, just a lost soul without any idea of my purpose. Why can I still think? Isn't it supposed to be the end?

"No." A familiar voice said. I didn't need a long time to realize the situation.
"... Manager." I said, sure of my statement.
"Indeed. It's been a long time, my dear." He said. Even though I could see nothing in this void, I could still picture him smiling boyishly from some sort of desk as he greeted me.
"... It has been a long time indeed." I answered.
"Yes, yes, hello. Now, let's see what you did... Well well, you've been reeeeal naughty back in that world. What's this, a kill count of over 8 million? Ouch, that's almost at the level of Hitler."
"Who would that be?" I asked, curious. And here I thought I was the most brutal being ever.
He chuckled as he answered "Just an art student who got rejected by his school. Anyways, I've got a proposal for you."
"A proposal... Am I going back to my life?" I asked
"Eh... Yes and no. It would be a waste to just throw a soul as advanced as yours back into reincarnation. Furthermore, it was still fun watching you. Therefore, I've decided to give you a new life, yes, but I'll give you a new body. Any requests?"
"You're being... Awfully generous." I asked. I wasn't the same naive human who first got caught by this being.
"Aw, you're no fun. It's not like I have bad intentions, I just wanna have fun..." He whimpered jokingly.
"You... Fine... What's the trick?" I asked, but he ignored me.
"It's great you agree. Do you want to change races or is your old race fine?" He asked. I sighed regretfully. Arguing with idiots was impossible, and I was particularly bad at it, being incredibly antisocial.
"Yes, being anything else would be... impossible. Please make me the Vampire again." I said.
"You sure? Not the Demon Lord? not the Werewolf? Hell, I could make you human again?" He winked at me.
"I'd rather have my soul destroyed than be a human again," I growled, altho, being a soul, I suspect I wasn't really that intimidating.
"Fineeee. You're so boring. Well, off you go I guess."
I felt my world turn dark again, almost like falling asleep. When my senses came back to me, everything felt... Different.
I looked around myself. Trees, trees, and trees. Some smaller plant here and there too.
This place felt familiar. It was the same exact place I first awoke in this world.
I slowly raised myself from the ground. My body felt extremely weird, and I also felt weak. Hungry.
I looked at my arms. Whiter than white. Paler than pale. Also, much smaller than what I was used to.
Something tickled my neck and back. Grabbing it, I brought it in front of my eyes. Of course, it was hair. Much longer than the hair I had in my previous life.
I sighed in regret as I touched my chest. Larger than it should be.
It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened. I took a deep breath before letting out a roar.
"MANAGER! NEXT TIME I SEE YOU I'LL RIP YOUR BALLS OFF!"
And like that, my third life began.
