Arc I - tutorial | Fifth floor

The fifth and tenth floors were different from the rest of the floors, as these ones have powerful monsters guarding the gate to the next floor and the exit, respectively. They are called 'bosses' colloquially.

And the boy was worried and nervous about it from the moment he arrived on the fifth floor until almost six months later, when he found himself standing in front of the door next to the boss area.

Certainly, this floor was complicated, as on this occasion the goblins had weapons like maces and swords. However, in the end, like on the previous floor, after almost six months of training, the boy, with sixteen permanent false goblins (six crossbowmen and ten regular soldiers), managed to clear this floor as usual.

But the boy was still worried. He knew that his strength lay in his organization and numbers, but what would happen if a monster managed to easily destroy his wall? This kind of monster could be this boss.

[I most continue]

Thought the boy in front of the door. He didn't see another options or solutions.

Only remained for him to kneel down on the floor and say.

"Oh lord almighty"

His body started to burn.

"Your its the eternal glory."

"Please, give at this impure lamp, the confidence and force to win this challenge."

His eyes started to expel blood.

"Amen"

And finally he collapsed.

He didn't obtain any other answer that pain and suffer, but he didn't care it.

So, after a short time, he could stand up and see the door with a bit more confidence, and without hesitation, open it and pass through it with his legion.

Once inside the room, the boy found himself in a big and clean room, and immediately noticed his enemy.

On the other side was a big goblin armed with a sword, surrounded by twenty goblins armed with swords and maces.

[A hobgoblin]

Identified the boy, and the door behind him closed quickly and automatically. With that, the battle began.

The boy had entered already with a regular formation.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Five soldiers were positioned in the front to create an external wall.

Five soldier were positioned behind the external wall to give support.

The boy his commander was behind of then to be secury.

And six crossbowmen that took position in front the wall, who started without hesitate shooting Bolt toward the enemies who neither waited to attack.

On the other hand, the boy knew that this formation wouldn't be able to withstand this battle, so, the boy, thinking in a battle of half hour. He invoked twenty-four false goblins and positioned them next to the crossbowmen.

The real goblins wasn't brute and during his charge tried to evaded the bolts, resulting in that only six real goblins died, before the crossbowmen had to took position behind the two walls to continue attaking at hobglobin almost for a while.

On the other hand, once the crossbowmen took a step back, the goblin enemies were collided not by the wall as usual, but by the temporary false goblins who were working as meat cannons and distractions on this occasion.

So, although these temporary goblins didn't cause a lot of damage, they at least provided enough time for the legion to regroup and create a small fortification surrounding the boy.

In this way the battle entered a new phease.

The Soldiers were trying to kill the unfortunately goblins that arrived at their position.

On one side, the temporary goblins tried to resist the cruel attack from the real goblins and their boss, while on the other side, a few of them were behind the wall providing support to the wall.

The crossmen were continuing shooting although didn't have much shooting space.

And their commander, the boy, was burning his brain while given orders and restored the meat cannons.

As is natural, this situation weren't going to last long. To the extent of the goblins being defeated, the boy's legions were also suffering losses. And when the legions had suffered four losses compared to the enemies who lost ten goblins, the battle entered another phase.

The boss, who until now hadn't been damaged by the bolts and had only been watching the battle, started to attack.

With his great force and speed was easy for him to hit heavily and repeatedly the legion and sweep the temporal goblins. this boss was a real threat.

Fortunately, although the bolts weren't effective, the swords and lances were, and for this reason, the hobgoblin limited himself to attacking the wall and not jumping directly toward the boy.

So, using his head, the hobgoblin tried to beat down the greatest number of false goblin soldiers before his minions ended up dying, receiving wounds in the process.

And when only remained five soldier at boy and two goblins at boss, this last one, jumped toward the boy breaking throught the defenses.

Only about ten minutes had passed since the beginning, but the boy was very tired from constantly restoring his temporary goblins. However, his mind was still active and he could anticipate the boss's attacks with precision.

The boy, with his right lung pierced, stopped the boss in his tracks. However, this didn't defeat the boss; with great ferocity and speed, he broke the lance and, with his sword, cut the boy from his left shoulder to his right hip.

This wounds was serious but not faltal, and the boy without hesitate quickly took his sword and quickly answer cut the boss from his right hip until his right sholder.

Of course, the boss didn't stoping his attack for this wound, and was going to attack again, but the false goblins who were surrounder charged toward him managed to distract him a bit.

Time enought to the boy could pierce his nect toward his head with his sword.

The boss was dying, and the remaining goblins were soon going to die at the hands of the legion.

But hadn't time to celebrate, the boy's whound was very serious and bit a bit was lost his concience, so, quickly ordered at his goblins carry him toward the next floor.
