Chapter 12
The being finally entered the research center, followed by its army of possessed. Ordering them to attack and kill every scientist inside. When it advanced towards the elevator, the being noticed multiple airships harboring the flags of the colonies they were serving. It stopped walking and focused on the soldiers that were flying down from the airships. That would delay its plan, but they needed to be taken care of. The being and its army may be robust, but not enough to overpower an army five times stronger.
How could it buy enough time ? It looked up at the airships. Yellen and its inhabitants had no value for the being now that it knew where the cristal was. The best plan that comes to mind was to use the airships and destroy the soldiers on the ground. The problem was now to initiate their fall. It could pierce them using their own magic, but it needed its strength to overthrow the cristal. Was there someone else among the possessed who was a dark flame user ? The former president of Yellen, he wasn’t as powerful as the host, but his magic should do the work. By injecting some of his magic into one of the weapons, the president should be able to create a spear that would pierce the airships.
Unexpectedly, the possessed ones were not as invincible as the being thought. They couldn’t die, but could be immobilized. The soldiers materialized a giant water bubble in which the possessed couldn’t escape. But they were too late and were unable to prevent the president from carrying out the being’s plan. When the soldiers looked up, the five airships were falling. The impact caused an explosion that annihilated all living beings. The plaza and the centers were now erased from the landscape. As for the being, it wasn’t there to witness the scene. It was standing alone in the elevator, going deep down towards the cristal. The detonation obviously shook the earth. Enough to stop the elevator.
“Archive, restart the elevator.” said the being with the president’s voice.
“Record- command confirmed” answered Archive.

The lift opened in a hallway. There were a multitude of locked doors. The being approached and overrode each one of them. There were a multitude of people imprisoned in those rooms. Unaware of what was happening outside. The being smiled. They were all dark flame users, all good living batteries. It grabbed them by the arms and absorbed them. The kids all tried to fight back, but it was useless. The host’s magic was stronger than anything else and their souls were all crushed like ants. The being went back to the lift. There were no traces of life left on this floor. The bodies completely vanished, absorbed by the being.
As it was going deeper and deeper, the being could feel the power of the cristal repulsing it. Like a heart beating. The being would receive offensive pulsation, making it feel uncomfortable, but not enough to stop it. Maybe the cristal wasn’t as strong as the being thought it would be, not like it mattered. Just the thought of such an important organism being at its mercy made it thrill. Every step it took was a step closer to accomplishing its destiny. What it was born for. After hundreds and hundreds of years, It was finally able to fulfill the wish of its creator.
A door opened, and what Yeetlhy saw through the window was probably the most beautiful thing she had ever seen in her entire life. So beautiful that it gave her enough light to shed a few tears, but not enough to give her hope. The closer she got from the cristal, the more she felt her soul being torn up. It was rejecting her, it was afraid of her, afraid of dying. The pain was strong, and the girl was simply accepting it, she was in a state of peaceful agony. Yeetlhy wasn’t the master of her life anymore. She was just a puppet.
The being approached and grabbed the cristal. It was so small and looked so fragile that if it wanted to, it could break it. But the being had other plans. It poured its magic inside, converted the cristal, claiming it, claiming nature, claiming life over the planet, becoming the planet. It could feel everything. The footsteps on the ground, the wind blowing, the plants growing, like someone was touching its skin. It was satisfying to have control, this much power into the palm of its hand. Having a human body was really inconvenient. But since the being was all powerful now, it was easy for it to merge its body with the planet.
It still wasn’t enough, though. the wish wasn’t fulfilled yet, it needed more planets, more destruction, more deaths.
Yeetlhy was lost.
