Blinding Evening

End of Arc one

When I came back to my consciousness, I found myself laying on Aunt Sun’s lap along with Blond.

After almost half an hour of sitting there, cops finally called us out. I was getting sick of this mall by now.

Shortly after, cops took me and Blond in for questioning the details. That lady with child must have told them about her. She was sent to hospital after that by the way.

Though Blond and I was taken in together for questioning, I was the only one who answered, all of them. Blond was asleep.

The pressure from these many questions made me even more pressured and nervous. Well, yet it was not as bad as dying.

After the long hours of questioning sectioning, we were done at last!

Blond was still asleep even after all these questioning. I tried to wake her but . . . . She didn’t even budge an inch. She even was drooling in sleep! That looked innocent.

If you don’t know, Blond came here from China along with Aunt Sun and is also the guest we will be having.

“ Aunt Sun has to carry her aga— “

“ Lockdown time. Visitors are requested to return back by 4:25. Please take all your belongings with you while you return. Repeating: Lockdown—”

“ You both should better hurry now, it’s already 4:25! “

The cop who was asking us the questions a while ago said looking at his watch with a big smirk.

Well, I knew what he meant.

“ There’s no helping it then! “

I said in a ' I’m tired of this ' tone though I was embarrassed inside. The line as well sounds too . . . . . Nevermind.

I boldly, hiding my embarrassment, took blond up on my back. It was embarrassing to do this in front of these many people but there was no other way, right?

“ T-Thank you for having us. “

A stroke of embarrassment leaked out. I thanked them though they took us in themselves. They should be thanking us.

He said waving at us when we were leaving, taking her behind my back. I could imagine his face with a cunning smile while waving at us.

We started walking all the way out giving her piggyback ride between lots of staff present there. They were, like, smiling looking at us. They must have misunderstood.

By the way, she was surprisingly lighter then expected. I could even princess carry her . . . . But I won’t. It’ll be too embarrassing.

When we reached out of the station, the evening sunrays were blinding me out. The scenario felt very warm and orange.

On a bench across the station was Aunt sun sitting with all the groceries I bought along with some new bought clothes.

An embarrassed smile leaked out again in that situation.

She stared at from tip to toe and gave a sparkling smile seeing the situation I was in.

“ Lugh, are ya enjoying ya'r youth? “

Aunt exclaimed as soon as I reached her.

“ Carry hear already. “

She gave me a dismissive look and pointed the groceries in her hands.

“ Who would carry these bags then? “

“ That would be me! “

I replied to she glanced over at Blonde then at me then again at Blonde with little giggle and said.

“ But . . . . She looks too comfortable to wake her up. “

She replied in my surprise.

“ N-no way— “

I took a peek behind a little through the corner of my eye and finally realized that she indeed was leaning her head on my back with a comfortably innocent looks in her face while also drooling. She was breathing gently, so gently that all I heard was a faint breathing. I realized that very moment that my top must be stinking of blood. She griped my clothes causing them to wrinkle. Also, the evening sunrays struck her gently giving her an orange glow.

I know it was too descriptive, I know.

My heart, ugh, kind of skipped a beat?

“ Changed ya mind? “

I took a pause and replied instantly:

“ Sh-She might wake if I give her to you so . . . . You see, she saved many people and did so many things all alone and . . . . I would . . . . Feel bad to wake her up . . . . “

I said with a light smile.

“ Tsundere. “

Aunt Sun exclaimed.

“ Cut it out already! “

I exclaimed back moving towards home followed by Aunt Sun behind. Maybe she just didn’t knew the way.

Well, carrying Blond around felt just like as if she was hugging me from behind. What am I even thinking!?

“ WHY THESE SUNLIGHT ARE SO BLINDING!? “

Aunt Sun exclaimed struggling to look straight.

“ Same thought. “

I replied carefully taking Blond home.
