The lucky system? What is that?
Riku could see a black box displaying different numbers. The attributes displayed were: strength, intelligence, agility, looks, magic, wisdom, charisma, luck and constitution.. It also said that the average was 5 on every attribute and 8 was very good. Though ordinary people without the Lucky system couldn’t access magic. If you had 10 in looks you’d be able to become a model. He was also available to check other people’s attributes. His cousins all had over 12 in the looks attribute, and he had 1.. It literally couldn’t be lower. But you could see at Riku’s magic attribute was 20, which meant that he would be extremely skilled at magic. As average people in a magic world had 5, and talented 10, he would be very powerful.

I looked at the stats and was actually somewhat proud over being skilled in magic. But most attributes just made me sad. I was 5 times more unlucky than the average person, of course that would explain a lot. For some reason it was still like a dagger stabbed me. Anyways, I had 5 points. So I could fix one of these. But I guess most people like in novels would go with strength. Though in most novels, the mc isn’t a fat pig like me. Looks seems like the best one for me. I will get above average looks. But there is one problem, if I suddenly start looking like a normal person. Won’t people suspect things? I guess I should use my family’s influence to transfer somewhere. First I guess I’ll try to become average in everything. Also by looking at charisma. I suspect that I won’t have to raise that as it will probably follow looks at some degree. So if I have like 20 skill points in looks, I should maybe have like 13 in charisma. As people usually respect and listen to you more if you look good.
I would ideally invest in looks, but I want to fix my luck attribute first. So..

Riku woke up. He put his slim hand on his blonde hair. He had actually always had light blonde hair and purple eyes. But people didn’t really pay much attention to that as he was so disgusting. Riku opened his beautiful purple eyes and his well formed handsome face sighed. A young slender man stood up and started heading to the bathroom.
I don’t feel any change. Or wait? I feel lighter? I looked down and for the first time in my life I couldn’t see a balloon sticking out of my stomach. Wait!? Did something really happen!? I rushed out and ran towards the bathroom.
Unbeknownst to Riku, very many nurses and female patients blushed when they saw him. He was the most handsome man they’d ever seen in their entire life. Riku finally reached the toilet and put his hand onto the handle.
Oh my god.. my hand is slim. My fingers aren’t small fat sausages now.
His hands looked like that of a professional pianist hands. Slim and long. Riku opened the door and rushed in to get a look of himself. What he saw made him cry.
I’m finally beautiful.. way more beautiful than anyone in my family.
He couldn’t see the old Riku, only an angel with light blonde hair and purple eyes. The eyes looked alive and his face was perfectly formed and his eyebrows were now thick. His lips were delicate and a healthy color.
I did it.. and it didn’t even require much effort!
Riku started laughing happily. This was the first time that he had felt content with himself. He would not let go of this chance! He took up his phone and called one of the few contacts he had (all contacts were his family).
“Hi Riku-kun! Are you okay!? We found you bleeding severly and passed out in your apartment when we went to visit you.” said Riku’s aunt.
Riku lightly chuckled. As they wouldn’t expect how “okay” he were right now. He had actually never felt okay before but now he did.
“I’m alright aunt. I have a favor to ask though. Can you transfer me to a different university in Japan?” said a beautiful voice. It didn’t sound like Riku’s unsure voice.
“Eh.. sure but why?” said his aunt.
“A few problems came up in my school and I’d just like to transfer. That’s all.” he responded.
“Ok fine. We’ll fix something for you.” said Riku’s aunt.
“Okay, thank you auntie! Bye!” said Riku as he hanged up.
Looks like I’ll have a new life now. A life without bullying, a life with popularity and r-romance.. Now it doesn’t feel like the gods abandoned me, it rather feels like they’re smiling at me right now.
Riku went out of the bathroom. He went to the reception desk and saw a beautiful nurse.
“Hi. I would like to ask for some clothes.” Riku said while smiling. The nurse blushed because he was so beautiful.
“A-Alright. Wait for me here and I’ll get you some.” the nurse said shyly.
I wonder why she is acting so strange? Oh wait.. I almost forgot my new looks!
Riku quickly glanced at his stats. And as he expected his charisma had skyrocketed too.

When the nurse came back with the clothes she handed them to him.
“Thank you!” said Riku with a replesendent smile. “You’re beautiful. M-may I get your phone number?”
I’m still a bit shy.. it’s still hard to adapt from being an ugly fat pig no one wants to talk with to someone everyone would love to talk with.
He was rather abrupt. But his looks made that feeling go away. The nurse shyly blushed once again and said “N-no problem. S-sure.”
He handed over his phone to her and she tapped in her number. “Thank you!” said Riku happily.

Then he took the clothes and went to the bathroom to put them on. When he arrived in the bathroom he breathed heavily and was sweating. Anyone would think that he had just had a hard training session but he had just asked someone for their number. It was the first time he did that, and unlike what he showed he was super nervous.
I hope this isn’t some stupid prank by the gods. The lucky system huh.. It really will change my life greatly.
