Walking in the forest was a lonely person. His legs shaking and his stomach demanding nutrition. He kept walking, ignoring those hazards. His body was getting weaker and weaker with each passing minute, and his mind became blank several times. He kept wrestling with his conscience in order to keep walking. He had to leave the forest.
The sun, previously hidden, was now high on the sky, illuminating the previously gloomy and stormy forest. Rabbits came out of their dens, squirrels climbed on to the trees and the birds were singing a precious melody of different chirps. None of that was noticed by this person, as he just kept walking. He was starting to doubt his mind, did he really heard the city? Or was he so desperate that he imagined it?
Was he becoming insane? He had lived a quiet life until now, never leaving his cell. He had never seen the exterior, and hadn't gotten a chance to appreciate it. Why not enjoy his first time outside instead of walking like a zombie towards a city that may not exists? Why not use this unique chance he has been given? They were looking for him and would eventually find him, so why not enjoy what little time he had?
He decided to rest. He was going to die anyway. He couldn't hide from them.
He looked around, and for the first time in his young life, he got to admire the beauty of the nature in person. The singing of the birds, a melody of chirping that made the forest into a calm paradise, the leaves of the trees dancing with the wind that seemed hypnotic, and the sight of little animals living quietly, made his conscience slowly fade away.

In the corridors of a high school hundreds of students walked and talked. Some were putting their belongings inside their lockers, and others were just studying. Midst all the ruckus of a high school, a lone girl named Aly, aimlessly wandered in the corridors. Aly had nothing to do, the class was a long talk about responsibility and not a real class.
She had never been too social, and had always troubles finding friends. She had hoped to see a familiar face, but it resulted in her disappointed to not find any. With nothing to do, no homework and no friends to talk with, she finally decided to sit on a bench inside on one of the corridors. She took out a notebook from her backpack, which she always carried with her, and began drawing.
When she drew something, she never thought about something specific, she would just draw. Then once she could recognize it, she would finish it. Be it a rabbit, an apple, a spoon, or something that doesn't even exist. She only drew just to see what she would come out with.
And so, she started her draw. For several minutes she kept drawing, checking on the hour from time to time in order to not get late to her next class. She slowly became more immersed in her draw, losing the notion of time. She would occasionally snap out of her draw trance to check the time, or by a loud student.
“Hello Aly.” Said someone. She looked at the source and saw the guy from before, Ethan.
'Oh, right, I had forgotten about him.' She thought. He was the one that approached her during the class. She had left quickly and they didn't have the chance to finish their conversation.
“Hello...” Aly said. She then realized that she couldn't remember his name, and felt bad about it.
“What are you doing?” He asked, sitting besides her.
“A draw.” She retorted, quickly showing it to him. It was a pretty decent draw of a fox, made in white and black. She considered herself a medium artist, not so good, not so bad. Intermediate.
Then an awkward silence came. Aly kept drawing, ignoring the situation and Ethan just tried to come up with a conversation topic.
“So... Do you want to tag along? I mean, meet my friends and so.” He finally said, breaking the ice.
“Mm-mm, sure.” She answered, seemingly focused on the draw.
“Fine, so... See you later.” He said, and left.
Aly just sighted and kept on drawing. She would bother with that after she finished her draw.
“What was that?” Said someone else. It was a familiar voice, one she quickly recognized. Her heart beat became fast as joy filled her.
Aly turned her head to see her best friend standing there with a wry smile on her face. “Alex!” Said Aly. Alex was her best friend since she had memory, they were like sisters. Alex was the one who would introduce Aly to new people, as she wouldn't do it alone.
“I see you are still as anti-social as ever, A.” Alex said grinning.
“You should respect me more! You wouldn't have graduated without my help!” Aly said joking.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were staying in our old school!” Aly asked, not that she complained about this turn in events.
“Well I knew you wouldn't be able to be a part of the society without me, so I convinced some important people that you needed me, and here I am.” She said in a prideful tone taking a seat besides her.
“You just begged and bribed the principal.” Aly said, and resumed her draw.
“Yes!” Alex said cheerfully.
“Now now, who was that pretty guy? Are you trying to get a date? Because, it seems that you just scared him off." Alex said wryly, hitting Aly with her elbow.
"He? No. He's just a guy who wants to be my friend."
"Willingly? I don't believe it. You blackmailed him to be your friend, right?" She said.
"That's stupid." Aly said
"You are stupid, A."
"Whatever, it's time for my next class. I must leave." Aly said, and began packing up her belongings. Alex just gave her a 'see ya', and left. She then headed to the classroom, to be again recieved by a teacher introducting herself. This time thought, there was an actual biology class.

12:00 PM. School's over, time to head home. That was what everyone knew on this school. A tide of students came from the school doorways. They were of varied age, from twelve to sixteen, but all weared the same blue uniform. This was a sight everyone would have to get used to.

Aly was heading home. It had been a long five hours of sitting in a chair and studying on a school. Now it was time of sitting in a chair and studying on a house. Then she could finally rest. Others would leave their homework for later but she didn't. She would rather finish all of it as quick as possible so that she could have the rest of the day.
The streets were bustling with activity as she walked. Vehicles came from here to there, people walked around heading to their destination.
Aly arrived to her home. It wasn't fancy, but neither a poor one. It was a simple, two stories tall house. Her used mom said that it was too big for them, and even attempted to sell it, but she never did it. In the end, they decided to keep the house. To keep the memories in here.
Why did they purchased such a big house? Some may ask. At the start, they weren't two but four people. Aly, her mother... Her brother and... Her father. They were a thriving family at first. They lived happily on their house. Her mother was a nurse, like now. Her father was a cop. He and her mother worked on different shifts, so when her mother was working, her father was at home, and vice versa. It worked, Aly and her brother could enjoy being with their father and their mother at the same time.
But everything has their downsides, and nothing stays the same, no matter what.
Aly took out a key from her pocket and opened the old door. It needed some oil. She stepped inside the house and headed to her room upstairs. She quickly changed clothes and took out her notebook to do her homework. It wasn't too much, so she could finish it rather quickly.
Once she had gotten rid of her homework, she was free to rest, at last. Her life was complicated, but she'd rather keep seeing the good side of the things. Else she may not be able to live.
She decided to sleep. She had nothing to do after all.

When the classes had ended, Ethan decided to stay a bit of time to keep talking with his friends. His circle of friends was rather large, most would say that above average, but he wasn't the popular guy of the school in the end. That title belonged to another person.
After a while of having fun with his friends he left the school. They decided to head home, change clothes, maybe take a bath, and reunite outside the school again. That was exactly what he was going to do.
He walked down the street, that was full of people. He took a few turns until a rather empty street and then...
“So, you must be that guy... Ethan, right?” Someone said. Ethan looked around, and saw a girl standing there. Her long blonde hair reached her waist and her green eyes stared into his.
“I'm Alex.” She extended a hand to him. He was doubtful, but shook her hand nonetheless.
"Ethan." He said.
"So I was right." She said charismatically.
"Do we've met before?" Ethan asked Alex. To which she replied.
"No, we didn't, you're just meeting the great Alex." She replied, brushing her hair to a side proudly.
"So, then, what do you want?" He asked crossing his arms.
"Well. I'll go straight to the point. What's your business with Aly?" She asked, crossing her arms as well.
"What?" He said surprised.
"What are your intentions with her, you dumbhead." She said rolling her eyes to the side.
He didn't expect this. Was she Aly sister? She had an overprotective sister then. But why is her sister blonde? Perhaps she painted her hair.
He stood there a little surprised for a few seconds.
"Hey! Dumbhead are you there?" She said snapping her fingers right on the front of his face.
"A... Yes, yes." He replied.
"Then answer my question." She said crossing her arms again.
"Oh, yea, I just saw the opportunity to have a new friend and I took it, something wrong with it?" He said to Alex. Because, what's wrong with making another friend?
"Well, the fact that she's a little shy and asocial, and she usually just send people their way when they try to talk to her." Alex said. "And she, for some reason, didn't reject you and ignored your 'friend request'."
"I'm not the one you must ask that, I just talked a bit with her and that is." Ethan answered. "If you see something weird with her, ask her and not me." He said, tired of this conversation.
Alex just made a face, she knew he was right but she didn't want to give him the reason.
"Hmpf. It may hurt me a lot, but... you're... right, dumbhead." Alex said with a pained expression.
"Stop calling me like that." He said bothered. He had a name.
"Isn't dumbhead your name?" She asked innocently.
"No, obviously." He said a bit angry. Did she really thought that?
"Whatever you say, dumbhead." She said, and walked away.
'I'm no dumbhead, you oxygenated blonde.' He murmured under his breath.
