As Yoshi and his companions journeyed toward their next destination, the city of Tottori—a six-day trek—they found themselves discussing the relics and treasures tied to the different regions. Much like Hakodate, a bustling city on Hokkaido island, renowned for its fishing industry and underground trade, Tottori, located on Honshu island, was a quiet city known for its sand dunes and traditional crafts. A place where the old ways still prevailed.
Along the way, Joseph brought up a pressing topic that had been on his mind since their last battle. "Yoshi, I've been thinking about the treasures and relics. During that fight, you and Lyra seemed to struggle a bit against those creatures, despite both of you being far more powerful than them. Was it because of the Treasure of Power that creature had? Does it somehow affect you guys?"
Joseph's tone was serious as he continued, "I mean, I never expected that monster to give you guys such a hard time, let alone me. What’s the deal with these treasures and relics if they’re so important?"
Yoshi nodded thoughtfully before responding. "The treasures and relics given to each region by my family were meant to empower the people and give them hope. But, you’re right—they can also pose a challenge to us. Each item is infused with immense power, and while individually they are formidable, when combined, they can become truly catastrophic. They have the potential to affect not just me, my brother, or Lyra, but the entire world."
Joseph furrowed his brow as Yoshi explained further. "If someone were to collect all the treasures and relics and combine their powers, it could make the user invincible. That’s why it’s so important that we protect them and ensure they remain in the right hands."
Joseph, still processing the information, asked, "So what relic or treasure does Tottori have in their possession?"
Before Yoshi could respond, one of the travelers in their group, a native of Tottori, chimed in. "We possess the Relic of Servitude."
Joseph blinked in surprise. "Wait, what? The Relic of Servitude? Are you serious?"
The traveler nodded earnestly, and Joseph couldn't help but scoff in disbelief. "Man, you've got to be kidding me. I mean, it's one thing to have a Treasure of Power that grants immense abilities, but the Relic of Servitude? That’s not exactly what I was expecting!"
"Why does your city even have a relic like that, and what purpose does it serve?" Joseph asked, his curiosity piqued.
The traveler chuckled, sensing Joseph’s skepticism. He nodded thoughtfully before responding, "The Relic of Servitude serves its purpose as its name suggests. It has the power to enslave those who wish to harm us, turning our enemies into servants of the city. It was our defense against invaders and hostile forces."
"But if it’s that powerful, how did the monsters and supernatural beings manage to take control of it?" Joseph pressed.
"Good question," the traveler replied with a sigh. "When the monsters invaded, they somehow managed to gain control over the relic, using its power against us. Our City Lady was the only one able to resist its influence long enough to send me away to seek help. She used her magic to free me, hoping I could find aid before she and the rest of our people fell completely under the relic's control."
Joseph raised an eyebrow. "So, this relic can even enslave powerful beings?"
The traveler nodded gravely. "Yes. The legend says that the Relic of Servitude can bind even the most formidable of foes. No one is truly immune to its might."
"That's one scary and messed-up relic," Joseph said, shaking his head. "How many of these treasures and relics are out there? What are their functions?"
"There are twenty in total," the traveler explained. "Each region possesses either a treasure or a relic, including the Fujimori Wisteria Forest Kingdom. But knowledge of their functions is often limited to those who live in each respective region. I only know about the Relic of Servitude because it belongs to my city of Tottori. Each region guards its own secret."
Joseph thought about it for a moment. "That’s like each region having a secret weapon—a trump card that can catch their enemies off guard if they don’t know what to expect."
Another traveler, a woman from the city of Shimonoseki, joined the conversation. "We have the Treasure of Knowledge in Shimonoseki, though it was stolen by a greedy monster. The treasure grants us immense understanding, allowing us to process and comprehend knowledge like no other. But now, to reclaim it, we must challenge the monster in a battle of intellect."
Joseph rubbed his chin. "It sounds like these treasures and relics could tip the balance of power. Whoever controls them holds the fate of the world in their hands."
"We once gained possession of the Relic of Enhancement," said another traveler from Yokosuka, joining the discussion. "As the name implies, it enhances the wielder’s existing abilities to their fullest potential, much like the Treasure of Power we saw in Hakodate."
A traveler from Saga chimed in next. "Our city once held the Treasure of Life. It granted our people longevity and perfect health. We were free from illness and lived long, peaceful lives, dying only of old age. It was a gift beyond measure."
"The Relic of Time belonged to my people in Kochi," a woman added. "It could reverse time or allow time travel, but its power came at a steep price. Overuse aged the user rapidly or could even erase them from existence. We had to use it sparingly, keeping a delicate balance to protect our city."
"The people of Takamatsu once possessed the Treasure of Abundance," another traveler shared. "It ensured that we never lacked for anything. Our city flourished under its power."
A traveler from Tsu spoke up. "We held the Relic of Will. It could control anyone’s will, bending them to its user’s command. But for us, it served another purpose—it gave our people the strength to endure life’s challenges and continue fighting."
"Hmmm," Joseph murmured, intrigued. "That sounds a lot like the Anti-Life Equation." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, marveling at the similarities.
Before he could continue, a man from Nagano joined the conversation. "Our city once possessed the Treasure of Resurrection. It allowed us to bring back the dead. We were careful not to abuse its power, only using it for those who died before their time. We never resurrected those who passed of old age or those who wished for peace."
"Fascinating," Joseph whispered, absorbing all the information. He pondered the vast array of treasures and relics, each with unique, powerful capabilities. The regions had weapons and tools that could reshape the world, each with its own strengths and dangers.

"The people of Iwakuni held the Relic of Death," another traveler said, his voice somber. "It had the power to take life instantly and without mercy. It was a dangerous relic, and its very existence brought fear to those who knew of it."
"In Kurohama Village, we once possessed the Treasure of Order," a man added. "It brought balance and structure to our society, ensuring everything remained in harmony. But in the wrong hands, it could forcefully impose order, crushing freedom and choice."
"The Relic of Immortality resided in Yamabuki Village," another traveler revealed. "It granted eternal life, but not without consequences. Immortality is not always a gift; some who used it found themselves trapped in an endless existence, unable to die no matter how much they wished for release."
"In Aso Town, we had the Treasure of Manipulation," someone else joined in. "It could bend reality, controlling the elements, emotions, and even the thoughts of others. It gave the wielder immense control, but its misuse could lead to devastating consequences."
"The Relic of Space was ours in Obihiro Town," a voice from the back spoke up. "It allowed us to manipulate space itself, folding distances and moving vast objects. We used it to protect our lands, but such power could tear the fabric of reality if mishandled."
"The Treasure of Dimensions came from Yamaguchi-ken Prefecture," said a woman who had been listening quietly. "It allowed travel between worlds, opening doorways to other dimensions. But traveling through dimensions was not without danger, and it could unleash beings beyond our comprehension."
"In Kagoshima-ken Prefecture, we had the Relic of Soul," a man said reverently. "It gave us the ability to manipulate souls, both living and dead. With it, we could heal, communicate with the departed, or even trap souls in the afterlife. But such a relic had to be wielded with caution."
"The Treasure of Probability was in our possession in Ehime-ken Prefecture," said another. "It allowed us to alter chances, tipping the scales in our favor. But altering probability was unpredictable, and what seemed like a small change could ripple into unforeseen chaos."
"We held the Relic of Creation on Iriomote Island," someone from the back added. "With it, we could bring new life into existence, crafting things from nothing. But creating life, or even worlds, came with great responsibility, as creation without balance could lead to catastrophe."
"And finally, on Yakushima Island, we had the Treasure of Destruction," said a man with a grim expression. "As its name implies, it holds the power to obliterate anything—life, matter, or even entire cities. It is a treasure of immense destruction, a force that could end worlds if unleashed."
Joseph stood quietly, deep in thought. Each treasure and relic represented a vast and dangerous power, with the potential to shape or destroy the world. "These artifacts are more dangerous than I imagined," he muttered. "We must ensure they never fall into the wrong hands."
Joseph then turned to Yoshi and asked, "What treasure or relic once lay within the Fujimori Wisteria Forest Kingdom?"
"The Relic of Disorder," Yoshi replied calmly. "Opposite to the Treasure of Order, this relic invites chaos, undoing structure, and bringing unpredictability and instability wherever it is used."
Joseph’s eyes widened in disbelief. "What???... No way!" he exclaimed. "I thought your kingdom would have something like the Relic of Creation. I mean, it’s not like you guys need it, considering the royal family created all the treasures and relics in the first place."
Yoshi nodded knowingly. "It’s true. But Ryujin and his accomplices took the Relic of Disorder to ensure chaos in our kingdom, executing their plan at the right moment."
Joseph, still processing, chuckled lightly. "Well, if you and Lyra just went all out at once, you’d end the entire war in no time. Before it even begins!" His grin widened as Yoshi smiled back, appreciating the light-hearted remark.
"Whatever waits for us in Tottori," Joseph continued with a determined look, "whether it's the Relic of Servitude or something worse, we'll overcome it. No doubt about that. We're going to take it back and restore the city to its former glory." His eyes sparkled with a fire of resolve.
Yoshi nodded. "Yes, we will."

Treasure of Resurrection brings others back from the dead, while the Relic of Immortality ensures eternal life but does not restore from death.
Treasure of Dimensions and Relic of Space are distinct—dimensions are about alternate realities, while space is about manipulating physical locations in the same reality.
This should help differentiate the treasures and relics while keeping each one's function unique and clear.
