The huntress trekked through the field blanketed by the soft first snow. She could see her own breath in the air, the temperature was perfect, not too cold, but not warm either. It was sunset, after walking for a short amount of time she finally met the entrance to the forest. After about an hour of nothing, she happened upon a hillside and heard movement behind her, she quickly turned to see a lynx, growling. She aimed her bow at the mammal when it jumped up and swiped her arm. She screamed in panic as they both tumbled back and started sliding down the hillside, she couldn’t see anything but the blur of small shrubs and trees as she faltered down.

She managed to catch herself on a small tree and managed to knock the wind out of herself, she gasped for air, in a panicked state she looked around, she didn’t see the lynx anywhere, and that scared her to her core.
