Dark
That was the first thought to enter my mind as I regained consciousness. My vision was completely black, and I felt concrete underneath me. It wasn’t cold, like usual concrete, it was warm instead. I tried to pick out any more details, but nothing came, it felt like a dream, but the feelings were too vivid, too real for it to be one. I sat up and waited for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. And once they did I saw the room I was in, a plain box, with what looked like protrusions coming out at odd points. I also saw a door, it wasn’t labelled so I pushed through it.

On the other side was something I’d never seen before. An expanse, it almost looked like it almost went on to infinity. There was a thick gray fog surrounding me, covering up any shred of hope of seeing something other than the dead gray ground that I was standing on. Then I looked up, and saw a cloud layer, it was dark, like rain clouds. But nothing was coming down. It looked like it was ready to become nighttime, it also looked like there was barely enough light to see at least silhouettes in every direction. It was as if there were mirrors just projecting the landscape. I couldn’t believe that there was this much fog, let alone this environment existing.
