Chapter 2
'H-huh, it wasn't a dream ?' Jack was shocked, but at the same time, he felt relieved.
There was a certain tension in the air, the kind you could cut with a mop. Jack was standing in his bed with a pair of headphones, looking straight ahead, He didn't say a single word, no, he didn't dare to say a word, yet. Trying to calculate his next move, Jack was thinking intensely.
'I should do something about this problem.' thought Jack.

Rebecca was a simple girl, after leaving her parent's house she went and tried living her best life, with the money her parents gave her, she started partying and making friends, going to vacations and drinking. But soon she realized that her money wasn't enough for her hobbies, "This isn't good, it's barely enough to go to a nail salon!" said Rebecca with a pout. 'I'll probably have to go back to my parents, No! They will be so disappointed if I ask them for money again. But what else to do ?' Rebecca was desperate and just when she was about to call her parents for help, she heard the TV.
"You have to be the best version of yourself, are you working as a maid ? You have to be the perfect maid. Anything you do has a purpose, you gotta love what you do, anything you do, do it with passion." said an old grandpa fiercely.
'Grandpa is right! But what should I do ? I didn't even finish college, and I don't have any professional skills...' Rebecca was quite sad. 'No! It doesn't matter what I do, as long as I do it perfectly I will be happy, and that's all it matters at the end of the day.' a revelation that changed Rebecca forever.
"Welcome to Seven-Twenty-Four, what would you like ?" Asked the cashier with a forced smile.
'Heh, I can tell it's fake from a mile away, this cashier is tired of working here, but me, I will become the best cashier, the perfect cashier.' thought Rebecca with a grin on her face.
"Hello, I've seen that you are hiring!" said Rebecca with a relaxed face.
"Yes we are!" Replied the cashier with a real smile this time, she was glad someone came to lighten her workload. "Do you have any experience in working as a cashier ?"
"Uh, no..." Said Rebecca while looking at the ground 'I already came in this store before, I memorized all the prices for all the items in the store and also their respective codes in case I cannot scan them, it's to be expected from the perfect cashier after all, but I still have much more work to do, after all, I need to learn how to clean the storefront glass and the floor perfectly, only the best work from the best cashier.' complained Rebecca inside, she couldn't admit she has done all this.
"Don't worry, the other staff are friendly and always help newcomers, come with me, you're gonna sign some papers, and then you'll be able to work soon enough" said the older cashier.

"S-So soon ? I thought it would take a few days or weeks until I could work!" exclaimed Rebecca.
"Yes, we needed more personnel for a long time, you came at the perfect moment."
And so Rebecca learned what she couldn't before. She extracted all the information from the others like a sponge, how to use the scanner, how to repair the coffee machine and fill it up, everything that was important was imprinted in her brain, she has finally found a purpose and expected the best compliments on her perfect work.

Jack went to the grocery store and bought some bread and milk. 'Maybe I should buy the cheaper bread ? But the one with the seeds has a better taste.'
"It will be $7.99".
"I will pay with cash, here." said Jack to the cashier while handing her a $10 bill.
"Thanks for shopping with us, have a good day" said Rebecca with a professional smile
"Thanks! You too!" Jack was quite impressed with this cashier, she helped him put the bread and the milk in the bag and also made him feel like this small shop was much grander than it seemed, 'maybe it was her elegant movements ?' he wondered.
And then he went back to the dorms, taking small steps, wind fluttering his hair while a ray of sunshine adorned his polo shirt. Arrived at the dorms, he deposited the milk and the bread and tried to deal with the current situation with a better mindset 'I should probably just feel it or something' he was not very sure how to solve the problem.
While looking at the face of the girl in front of him, his heart skipped a beat, noticing this oddity, he touched his cheeks and noticed they were cherry pink 'that's so embarrassing!' he thought 'But what should I do ?' he wondered. His mind thinking about all the possibilities. 'I should probably give her a name, she doesn't have one, hmm… I know, how about Rose ?'
Jack leaned forward, put his hands on the shoulders of the girl and started shaking her. 'Shake, Shake' and then he noticed a small tattoo on the girl's wrist, it was an elegant bracelet adorned with flowers and small jewelries, without a second thought he moved his hand towards the tattoo like he could feel a connection and this time something really did happen.
"Ughhh!! It hurts!!" Screamed Jack. It was a challenging and an uncomfortable experience to control two bodies at once, especially if the brain was not properly equipped to handle the task. It just couldn't control the two bodies properly and, because of that, it hurts, a lot. The sensation of trying to move two bodies simultaneously was disorienting and confusing, as the feedback and signals from each body would conflict with each other. His brain also experienced a sort of mental feedback loop, where the sensation of pain and frustration from one body feeds into the other, exacerbating the overall discomfort. In other words, it hurt, really bad. And like a good brain it did what any other brain would do, It shut down one body and in this time, it just happened to be the weaker body, that is, his own.
"H-huh ? It doesn't hurt anymore...." - "E-eh ?" Jack was really confused why his voice suddenly changed. But then he realized he could finally move in her body.
And just when Jack was about to celebrate his success, a falling body caught his surprise.
"Wait! No!" Said Jack when he saw his own body falling towards him.
He caught his body with a small movement and put him in the bed while being impressed with his own strength. 'It seems I can't control both bodies yet' he thought. 'And what is this magic tattoo bullshit ? And why does my main body have it as well ? I feel like if I touch it now I'll swap bodies, I hope, otherwise I might be stuck in this body forever.'
'Well anyway, since I've got this far, might as well go out and get some clothes' thought Jack with a sweet giggle.
