“Eh?”

Hwa-Ryun stared blankly at the floating blue panels in front of her. She didn't understand what was happening, she had just created her first character in Hyria, a 105cm tall fae with short, iris coloured curly hair and eyes, freckles, small nose and lips, pale skin, a rather flat but attractive body and two sets of wings. For information, a fae's wings are detached from her/his body and are normally invisible and retracted, though even when they are being used only their outline, which is the same colour as the fae's hair, is visible; their wings have the shape of a diamond where the longer diagonals point toward the fae.

Her name was XI which read as Eleven, she had chosen the Winter Citadel as a starting town when she read about the black snow in Hyria's official forum. The game was out for about 8 months now, but as she was busy completing other games she never bothered to start with Hyria, the game her mother contributed to make, because, considering her situation, she had all the time in the world. Certainly, this was the first time she'd play a game with other people, that is why she decided to prepare throughly and read about everything there's about Hyria on the internet.

For example, she knew that this month (IRL) four ships, one for each part of the continent, would depart for unknown new lands beyond the natural maritime barrier. Hwa-Ryun learnt that, in fact, De' Draake 's previous expedition had actually managed to pass through the barrier and find land toward south-east of the port town Givyua. It wasn't counted as successful though, because all the people were killed and also didn't manage to find a civilized town/city. Finding the continent unlocked its presence on the players' map (without any details, of course) but only finding civilized communities bigger than a village will give users the possibility to teleport there or to choose that as a starting point.

There were two reasons as to why all the players were still in the starting continent: the first and most obvious is that the monsters in the other continent were really though, they were recorded to be level 200+, and even getting outside the barrier is no joke. It's especially harder when you know that once you're level 100~199 the experience you get from the monsters is halved if they are stronger that you, while if they have the same level or lower then you receive next to nothing, not even 1%. The second reason regards the central part of the continent. As it was not controlled by any major force, as in Kings, Queens, Emperors, etc., many guilds and players fought for control. Many built forts, outposts and castles, some even brought together the various villages spread throughout the region.

This power struggle started a month after the game's release and it kept on going on for another two, thus when the time came for the first expedition, none of them were free or ready and when the second expedition came, the guilds and players either had to recover from the long battle or they didn't want to make an opening for others to attack right after the end of the battle. The success obtained in the south was mostly thanks to the guild Mɘsmɘrizɘ which vowed to do better this time, boosting its fame by also offering a free teleport to the new continent to its guild members.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Hwa-Ryun wanted to join their guild, that is also another reason for choosing the Winter Citadel as her starting point, it's near their headquarters. Still, she didn't know anything about the class she was just bestowed, many of the skills she obtained and the Godhood thing. She thought for a while about it before giving up, thinking it probably was her mother's gift or something. Hwa-Ryun knew her mom was quite influential in the company as she was the one who developed the main A.I. and the base formulas to create all the other A.I.s . Anyway, with a 'you can't change the past..' she opted to get more information out of her class, skills and eligibility to Godhood. An afternoon later, Hwa-Ryun had come some conclusions.

'So my class is pretty much related to the Lost God, which I know to be what the main A.I. is playing as, and my skills are pretty much about calling forth divine, mythical and legendary creatures and making them submit to my will. If they do, good, I got a familiar or companion, if they don't, I can try making them submit through force, but if I fail and die they're free to go wherever they want and I can never summon them again. Considering what the Lost God did, if I level it up enough I should be able to summon Gods, but this also means I have to lay low. I certainly don't want to end up hunted by some crazy fanatics or killed by foreign Gods.

Then, about the eligibility.. it seems to be just that. I can become a Goddess, but there seem to be certain requirements and restrictions, for example some races aren't able to attain Godhood because their bodies are too weak in one way or another, the humans are one such race. It's great that I choose to be a fairy, otherwise it'd a hassle changing race. I imagine people, who spent a lot of time to reach this point only to be told their race isn't suitable to Godhood, losing it and maybe even rage quitting. At the moment, only elves can "easily" change race. Of course, not all types of elves can, and all they can become is either a Dark Elf or a Blood Elf and once you're either of them you can't change to the other. Well, no point thinking about such things, I gotta go grind some levels if I want Mɘsmɘrizɘ to accept me.'

Recollecting her thoughts, XI stood up from where she had been sitting all day, a fountain's border, and started walking toward the Citadel's gate.

----------------------------------------

I noticed I got some numbers wrong for the expeditions' timetables lol I corrected the mistake even in Voyage 8.

Basically, the first exp was two months after Hyria's release, then in the fifth month, eight month and finally eleventh month, which is when Lia and the others will depart~

Anyway this two chapters were to give you some updates on the others' conditions and stuff and to make you know all the representatives and what meant being eligible for Godhood.

Well then, see ya next chap, which is the end of V3P1~
