“Shut up!” Jennifer snapped back without looking, her frustration evident as she slammed the door shut behind her.

Adrian winced at her response.

He then turned to Sonia to vent.

Sonia, amused by the unfolding drama yet trying to maintain peace, nodded and played along, barely containing her laughter.

After their conversation, Adrian gave Sonia a smile.

Maxwell, who had been quietly observing the chaos, suddenly regretted his decision to visit.

” Adrian chuckled, seemingly satisfied with the explanation.

After a brief exchange, he picked up a fruit tray, declaring he would wash some fruit for Sonia, and made his way to the bathroom.

Maxwell then turned to Sonia with a serious tone.

“Who’s this ‘husband’ Adrian mentioned?”

“How should I know?” Sonia met his questioning gaze, hastily saying, “Honestly, I don’t have a husband.

Adrian just gets confused and says things sometimes.

Maxwell didn’t know whether he should believe her or not.

Suddenly, a loud sound from the bathroom came, indicating someone had fallen.
