Tuatha 337 Book 4 Chapter 30

“The [System] will allow you to use moons and asteroids within this solar system to increase the size of Earth,” [System Administrator] allowed. “None of the other planets can be harvested without a major adjustment to the [Laws] of this system. [Laws] that we have already adjusted to support [System] integration, so those are off limits.”

“Might I suggest those formations that are thought to have water? Before the integration, the humans of this planet had begun to expand into space. They identified a number of moons and asteroids that might contain water. Some might even contain some form of life,” I submitted.

“There is no need,” Terra replied indifferently, “our [Domain] and [Authority] have been restored, and we can see the makeup of every celestial body in this system.”

“Name the objects you would see added to Earth, and it will be done,” [System Administrator] prompted.

“Europa, Enceladus, Ganymede, Callisto, Ceres, Titan, Dione, Charon, Pluto, Mimas, Triton, Titania, Oberon, Umbriel, Tethys, Rhea, Iapetus, Varuna, Quaoar, Orcus, Eris, Haumea, and Pluto,” the voices of the three Goddesses responded. Each Goddess took a second of time before identifying one of the twenty-three planetary objects to be added to Earth.

I managed to contain a small chuckle at the inclusion of Pluto. The [System Administrator] allowing the world to be added ended the debate on whether Pluto was a planet or not.

The changes to Earth were held in abeyance until the Goddesses offered their last recommendation to the list. Once finished, I felt the gravitational flow that created order and symmetry for the solar system flux. Each planetary object simply vanished from its current location as the elements that made up the fabric of each were dissected and analyzed.

I knew down to the last molecule, the last atom, even the last quartz, what each moon and asteroid was made of. And the people of pre-integration Earth had been correct in their belief that life existed on a few. I watched fascinated as the [System] studied each life form before beginning a process of evolution that would allow it to flourish on Earth.

A swarm of newly evolved species that would serve as beasts and monsters that could be farmed for the experience or ignored to potentially decimate the homes and businesses of those living in this world post-integration.

“Where are all the people and animals?” I asked as I watched Earth expand and contort with each new addition. The earthquakes, tidal waves, volcanic eruptions, and seismic shifts affected change as new water and landmasses were added. Every adjustment was controlled, but even with that control, the process I was watching would have been an extinction-level event.

“The people are currently in a place where they can select their race and class. The animals and plant life are out of phase, in that place betwixt and between. I will return them to this reality once this process is completed,” the [System Administrator] explained.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Now that I knew what to look for, it was easy to find the plants and animals. They were in that half-state between reality and dream. That place the Sidhe used when entering Sitherns, Underhill, or [Fairy Rings].

The Earth continued to grow at a prodigious rate, expanding to four times its previous size. Terra and Gaea were allowed to restore their supercontinent so that Pangaea was once again reformed.

The added land from moons and asteroids formed new continents and island chains, placed in positions that reflected the changes to the tectonic plates. The System kept the same number of continents that had existed before integration but in a different configuration.

Each new continent was centered around the equator, and although there were areas that sprouted far enough north and south to be affected by seasonal change, most remained within the tropics.

The only deviation from this new continental placement was a mountain chain that bisected the world from north to south. A complete chain of mountains encircled the globe, separating the new landmasses from Pangaea.

The System was going to give Gaea and Terra what they asked for, but there would be a clear divide between the sections they had [Authority] over and the rest of this new Earth.

Towns and cities were removed, and anything that had been created by man was wiped clean. In their place, new towns and cities were created. Castles and Keeps littered Pangaea, scattered throughout the continent. The [System] began to populate those areas of civilization with fantasy races. Unicorns, Dragons, Kobolds, Orcs, Harpies, and every race that had been imagined within the minds of men found a home.

Every race, excluding those that belonged to the Tuatha de Danann and Atlantis.

The [System] offered a multi-versal quest to people to immigrate. I watched as the offer was broadcast across the multi-verse. Those selected were being given a quest to move to this world and serve as the advisers, teachers, and rulers for the people that would soon be leaving character creation.

Those native members of Earth would return to find a world fully fleshed out. One with the technological advances they had made erased for humans. New technology could be created. But never again would this world be trusted to delve into the mechanics that would see another CERN.

“Will the people of this world retain their memories once they return?” I asked.

“A few,” the [System Administrator] confirmed.

“That may present some problems,” I warned. “This world has a history of playing games. Games in which these fantasy races existed. Games in which they gained experience and achievements by killing these people.

“Some of those more experienced gamers are going to see the people you have seeded this world with as NPCs, non-player characters. They won’t see them as real and will try to farm them for the experience.”

“The people that have agreed to come to this world and guide the newly integrated societies are of a much higher level. They will be safe within the safety of the towns and cities that have been established. A safety mechanism that will expire in a hundred years.”

“Why a hundred years?” I asked.

“The people that have accepted the quests to come here are not meant to remain in charge. They are teachers and advisers. They are only here to guide the natives of this world, to see that those integrated into the System become knowledgeable enough and powerful enough to survive.

“A hundred years should be enough time to see them flourish. Or perish.”

“And what of the Atlanteans?” Apollimi asked.

“They, too, will have their teachers and advisers, but before they can be offered quests and arrive, you need to decide the characteristics and traits that members of the Atlantean race will be gifted.

“What you choose will determine which of the multiple races of Atlanteans will be offered a quest and a chance to immigrate.”
