The blinding radiance due to the sudden arrival of the Seraphim of Gold, caused everyone to be in turmoil. The Seraphim seemed to phase through the window and appear with particles of light forming near His body. Then, He walked gracefully towards the king, ignoring the guards and hostility around Him.
He carried himself with such majesty, that the people around Him were mesmerized by His presence.
The Seraphim, upon arriving in front of the throne, spoke with softness and assurance.
"It is of mine intention to assist thy city, I've come bearing no hostility towards thee all. Stand assured dear people of Solaurum, I am not thine enemy."
The atmosphere seemed to soften a bit with Seraphim's words. Realizing that the situation had been controlled, the Seraphim then faced the king and proposed a duty.
"O! Great King of Solaurum, I have been sent by the Sun God to spread His greatness and to guide thine people with my Brilliance!"
"Tis proposal will only be gifts upon ye, the eternal kindness of the Sun God shines upon thee!"
His words caused gossip and mumbling amongst the people. They had been skeptical but the Seraphims of old had a great reputation for the people of Solaurum.
Stories such as the Great Demon and Holy War were well-knowned by people all over the world. It had been a war that shook the world down to its core.
The Great Demon and Holy War was a point in history where the Demons have invaded the planet and started committing slaughter to everything that lived. That included the plants, animals, humans, and many more!
It is said that this invasion caused the balance of nature to be disturbed. The mass deforestation caused great environmental change to the world! Additionally, the indiscriminate slaughter of every living being has led to livestock to decrease, and famine to appear.
It had not been a normal war! The war caused the morality of the people to change. The mass famine that they experienced turned them into cannibals, and somehow they thought in their head that it was moral.
Not only had a famine arose in the world, but also the perceptions of good and evil had been switched by the demons.
Thus, the Gods had to assemble and eradicate the demons that have invaded the planet. After a long perilous war, the demons retreated and formed the 7 Layers of Hell.
Although, not much is known where they could have carved such a place unnoticeable by the Gods. Some say it was underground but the Earth God would have noticed that. Some say it was in the depths of an ocean, yet the Sea God would have definitely known. It could even be inside the Soul world, yet it was unlikely due to the existence of the Spirit God.
Nevertheless, the Gods are still searching for them until this day. Although they have cleansed the world of false morality, the blow had already been dealt. Thus, the existence of true evil in this world was first born..
Due to the salvation given by the Gods and their Angels, the Seraphims had a positive image for the people of the world.
Going back to the situation between the King and the Seraphim, the proposal given by the Seraphim of Gold had not sounded too bad. There were no losses to be considered too! Plus, the Seraphims are known to be benevolent and kind.
Assessing the situation, the King made up his mind to trust the four-winged Seraphim.
"I will accept your proposal, Great Mythical One."
He considered the great benefits of having a Seraphim as an ally. He would have a strength incomparable to any, the wisdom of divine being, and the protection of the Sun God! There would be nothing to lose..
Thus, his words caused the city of Solaurum to undergo great changes.
First, their architecture improved quite greatly! With the blessing of the Seraphim, their efficiency went through the roof! Not only that, but the aesthetic appeal of their buildings have also massively improved. The considerable changes within the city caused the citizens morale to increase! Thus, attracting many investors and foreigners to visit.
Secondly, their military might! With the assistance of a divine being forged as a weapon for the Gods, the battle power of the knights of Solaurum increased greatly. Various weapons of mystic have been forged, their fighting style improved, and with the blessing of the Seraphim, their might has reached human peakness.
Lastly, the King's political power rose even more. With the Seraphim serving as his ally, no one dared to compete with him. Not even neighboring kingdoms and countries!
This was a golden age for Solaurum!
But.. the prince was skeptical of the Seraphim. Something felt off about the individual!
Currently, he was training with the Seraphim by crossing his sword with Him. Sigourde was fascinated by the Divine Beings' swordplay, there were 0 openings, and His attacks were fierce yet calculated.
Sigourde faltered for a split second, yet that was all it took for him to be defeated.
"I yield!"
Raising his sword up and surrendering to the Seraphim, Sigourde kneeled in front of the Seraphim. He felt tired and he was sweating all throughout the battle.
"Thou hadst lasted for longer than the previous duel. Thou had done well, thou may rest O, Prince of Solaurum."
"As you wish.."
The Seraphim walked away from the training grounds and left the premises. Sigourde, panted and layed down on the ground, he felt his body tremble due to fatigue and tiredness.
"He's too strong, I couldn't even land a single hit.."
Sigourde noticed the sharp blade of the Seraphim and he realized that it was something that humans could not comprehend. However, the number of duels he experienced with the Seraphim had not been for naught. He had improved.. greatly.
He could even envision himself beating the Red Dragon alone!
Once he had crossed blades with someone, he would gradually adapt until he had surpassed them. This was related to his Attunement, Pupil of Swords!

But with the Seraphim, even though Sigourde had improved massively when compared to 3 months ago, he still could not see himself beating the Seraphim near the future.
'I've still much to learn.."
*
The scene then shifts into various scenarios, Sigourde was dueling the Seraphim, the city was prospering even further, the King received guidance from the Seraphim, and the overall atmosphere of the situation turned bright.
The Seraphim looked more and more comfortable as each day passes by. When he had arrived at the city of Solaurum, he looked taciturn and indifferent. It had been 4 years since he had arrived Solaurum after all!
The Prince now looked even more dignified, his deep black hair was longer and his crystal blue eyes defined his very looks, along with his chiseled face and broad stature, an unshaven beard could also be seen.
Sigourde.. was in a lush green mountain near Solaurum, he had been meditating and training in solitude. Around him were trees that had been cut with elegance. The slashes were so fine that not even a slight curvature could be seen.
Moments of his silence passed by and suddenly he heard the atmosphere shift. He felt a familiar presence walking behind him.
Thus, in rapid succession, Sigourde jumped and rushed towards the presence that he felt. The individual easily blocked the blow dealt by him and gazed upon Sigourde with indifference.
"Thou hast improved.."
Sigourde knew that the familiar presence belonged to his master. He had encountered it countless times along the years. It was.. the Seraphim of Gold!
"I give my gratitudes to you O, Great One."
The four-winged Seraphim then continued to walk along the path of felled trees. The radiance of His presence, lighted up the lush greenery of the mountain. He then sat down atop one of the tree stumps and let out his majestic voice.
"Tis Great One hadth come to deliver thee consequential news.."
Sigourde's face then looked dark, as if he already knew what the Seraphim was going to say.
"It is of concern to thine Father.. He-"
"I know of it already.."
Cutting off the Seraphim's words, Sigourde expressed sorrow in his words. The past year of training in solitude was due to his Father's sudden illness. He.. felt powerless at the situation, he knew that he could not do anything due to it being a sudden sickness. But inside of him he felt uselessness, as if he needed strength in order to cut down the illness inside of him.
Thus, he trained in the mountains, he trained in solitude, hoping to improve his swordplay in order to cut everything in his path.
"Thine Father wishes for thee to come home. He longs to see thy face."
With a defeated face, Sigourde decided to finally descend down the mountain and meet with civilization once more.
"... I have failed."
The scene then shifted inside the King's personal bedroom. The atmosphere was sullen, and the King was surrounded by a couple of individuals. Among those individuals were his wife and an apothecary taking care of him.
He was in a dire situation, he muttered words under his breath, it was so soft that it was almost impossible to be heard. He said:
"I want to see my son. I want to see my son. I want to see my son."
He had repeated those in succession, his eyes were dull and his body turned frail, yet those words were his drive to live longer.
Suddenly! The door busted open and a figure came along with it. It was a dark haired individual with crystal blue eyes, he walked quickly towards the king's bed and stared at the king's eyes.
The king saw his deep black hair and crystal blue eyes and instantly knew that his son had finally returned. His dull eyes showed a faint yet bright light.
With that, Sigourde mouthed powerful words that shook the Soul of everyone around him.
"Please, leave us be.."
The people around him realized the situation and left the room. The Queen patted his back and wished him the best.
After everyone had left the room, the King used his weakly words to speak with his son.
"My son.. You have.. finally returned."
The king used all his willpower to utter a single statement.
"Father.. You need not speak anymore, I am here and that will be enough for you."
However, the king didn't listen to his son's words and continued to speak.
"Sigourde.. I have one request to make upon you.."
"Fathe-"
"You are my.. greatest creation. I am proud of.. you."
Upon saying those words, a tear flowed down from the king's eyes.
"Sigourde-"
His father abruptly stopped due to him being out of breath. Sigourde felt felt sorrow at his father's words, he felt a pain deep within his heart. He thought of the words that would come out of his father's mouth next. He predicted that it would be something along the lines of being the strongest or cutting the heavens. But, he had not expected of the next words that his father had uttered.
"Sigourde.. Doubt the Seraphim!"
Sigourde's eyes widened at the sudden declaration, he had waited for the next words to be uttered but silence was all that came.
Sigourde held a deep feeling of regret within him, his face was sullen due to loss, and his entire perspective was shifted.
'Be weary of the Seraphim?' Sigourde recalled the last words of his father.
He trusted his dying father's words. Thus, with resolve forming deep within his heart, he stepped out of the room and walked along the halls.
*
It was a festive scene, trumpets were echoing along the halls, citizens were rejoicing, various stalls and stores opened up on the streets.
Sigourde stared at the scenery below him, he was standing near a window at the highest point of the castle, he saw the entirety of Solaurum from here. He had recalled of the old Solaurum; it could not be comparable to the scenery from now. The significant changes brought upon by the guidance of Seraphim was amazing.
As he stared at the beautiful landscape of his city, he gazed upon it one last time and headed towards the plaza.
Today.. he was going to be crowned as King.
Sigourde's deep black hair and crystal blue eyes looked angelic. It was only normal to look good in a ceremony but his beauty had been overkill.
A few moments later, Sigourde was riding inside a luxurious carriage. He passed the streets and acknowledged the people of Solaurum. He had been reminded of this scene back from his youth where he would connect with the people that he protected.
"All hail the crown prince! Soon to be King!"
"All hail!"
"Great King! You are so handsome!"
Sigourde waved at the crowd and smiled at his people. Moments later, he had arrived at the plaza where his coronation ceremony would take place.
As he walked along the streets leading up to the stage where he would be hailed as King, he saw a four-winged individual standing atop the stage.
The Seraphim had been designated to be the one to crown Sigourde.
Sigourde then arrived shortly, he greeted the Seraphim and gave pleasantries to the people.
"Tis quite the festivity as one may say."
Sigourde gazed at the Seraphim who was staring at the crowds of people around them, Sigourde replied with indifference.
"It truly is."
After that exchange, Sigourde then swore his allegiance aloud. He pledged to serve the people, oathed to make the city prosper, and to be a great king to all of them.
With that, it was due time for the crowning. The Seraphim held the crown atop a cushion and walked towards the throne where Sigourde had sat down upon.
The crowd was silent as everyone was waiting for the right moment to cheer.
Arriving upon the throne, the Seraphim held the crown carefully and slowly aimed towards Sigourde.
With this, the Seraphim placed the jeweled crown atop Sigourde's head. Then, He turned around and declared the coronation!
"People of Solaurum! I present thee, the mighty slayer of the Red Dragon! a Paragon of Strength and Virtue! Thy new ruler! The King of Solaurum!"
With those words, the crowd erupted in cheers and yells. They rejoiced at the existence of a great figure being born in front of them.
"All hail the King! All hail Sigourde"
The Seraphim declared those words once more and the crowd repeated it.
"All hail the King!"
"All hail Sigourde!"
It truly a day of festivities and bliss, one would feel such enjoyment at the sight of such. Except for Sigourde, whose eyes were filled with darkness and disdain, staring at the Seraphim in front of him.
"All hail the King! All hail Sigourde!"
The crowd's words echoed in his ears.
*
The unique marble pillars stood tall along the hall of the throne room. The appealing ornaments were eye-catching, and beauty was all around it.
Sigourde sat on his throne, unamused, his deep black hair had streaks of white, and his crystal blue eyes were starting to become faint.
In front of him was a four-winged Seraphim, bearing news to the great king.
Whenever the Seraphim opened His mouth, grace came out of it. His voice was ethereal, soothing all those that heard of it. The Seraphim mouthed a couple of words towards the king.
"O! Great King of Solaurum, Tis holy being hast descended from the heavens to tell thee of a foretold future. The weavers of fate hath foretold of the destruction of thine city. Although thou must rest easy, for tis holy being hast come for thine salvation."
The king's unamused eyes gleamed in reaction to the Seraphim's words, yet it was not of amusement.
It was hatred.
