boredome

Okay, i'll stop for a few chapter with the plot twist about the mc, here is our favorite ... or not? so frustrating :o

Haaa…. I should stop daydreaming…

Sitting under a tree, a young man was watching as soldiers were training. He had a regular look, no really muscular but not fat. His eight was quite astonishing as he was two meter tall but the most interesting was his face, a face that could scare anyone.

Usually the army wouldn’t take soldier with handicap but his case was special. Even with he was deaf he showed strength equal to legendary heroes.  With a regular punch he could break a rock and if he had to lift something he could go to two tonne, an inhuman feat.

Aside from that he was a scum. He would only work when promised something in return or if he felt like it. He was more like a mercenary than a soldier.

I

n his free time he would imagine how life would be if things were different and now was the case.

The soldiers training looked at him with hatred and awe. Even if he was a scum he saved their life in more than one occasion, willing or not and only the fact that he found no value in human life made him a scum.

As he was daydreaming an official came to him and handed him a piece of paper before disappearing.  He took it and read it.

“ The council decided you were a danger to the wellbeing of our country. You will be disposed of.”

He didn’t have time to react as a bullet impacted with his skull killing him on the spot. Usually bullet wouldn’t affect him in any way but his country made sure to create one able to kill him for safety response. Since most of the threat they fought against were erased they had no need for him anymore and couldn’t risk him going wild or do as he pleased.

If he was normal they would let him be but the fact that he found everything extremely boring made him unpredictable.

Finally…

If it was anyone else they would curse their murderer and be engulfed by their feeling but for him it was peaceful. He was finally free, free of his boredom. His surreal strength made everything too easy for him and he felt like life had nothing to offer him anymore. A depressing thought for someone in his thirty.

He closed his eyes and smiled. If he could reincarnate like in his wish he would do it in a heartbeat.

He waited and waited but he didn’t feel the feeling of freedom he was waiting for. He opened his eyes and got surprised. Instead of the military building and soldier he was in the middle of a forest.  He looked around only to see trees and bushes. As he was getting calmer he felt something. It was the first time he felt something like that. He could hear!  He tried to shoot but no sound came out.

…. Still better than being deaf.

He tried to move but found it difficult. His body didn’t feel like he was damaged but… smaller? He tried to stood up and after several try finally succeeded. Getting a hang of his new body he went to a tree and put his hand on it.

It should be enough to test it.

He swung his right fist to the trunk and it fell on the spot, the place where it was cut was clean as if a blade was used but it was the simple strength of the punch that caused it to break so cleanly.

So it didn’t change.

He looked at the fallen tree and went in the forest. He needed to find where he was and what happened. He died and that wasn’t his imagination so it could only mean resurrection.

As he walked he went past a small pond. Wondering what he looked like he went to see how he looked. In the water, he saw the face of a really young boy not older than seven years.

He touched his face to make sure it was real and stoop up. It was useless to try to understand until he found someone to talk and gain information from.
