4. Cultural Thinking

4. Cultural Thinking

My history teacher always had a saying “Life's Gonna suck when you grow up” in fact at times when he was in his own world he would kind of sing it, strange man. But I think those words didn't really ring through until I finished obtaining my diploma and boom, a lady with ok not the power cosmic but close, I could slow down time, pretty nifty stuff. And I end working for my mother and for any of you smarty pants no it was not because I wanted to and no not because I didn't look, I looked for twenty years…but no it would be a long time working for her. Before I finally had it and joined the Military Guard.

So yes I had a painful long Youth-ripper as da always calls it. Mana I never thought it was possible to experience it again, but ass slaps, cat calls, gingers, soulless the endless crap. It's enough to make a woman cut a mans head off or maybe a few more men for good measure… Ah if only, well I could but Goo-e put some box damn quest out to all the bloodthirsty idiots that call themselves Players, humf the balls for brains think of it all as a game and never forget to have fun. No matter the expense.

And what is with those in-prisoned floating yellow heads that these outlanders summon in speech bubbles to express there emotions most of them can speak and move there faces so why have they enslaved these small yellow heads to do over the top crying, smiling and there oh so massively used word I have yet to fully understand the meaning of I think it's approval somehow of “LOL”. Though there constant use of there military slang of letters having great and powerful meanings make no sense to me.

First time I saw one of the speechless outlanders box speak AFK I slapped him thinking him the most crude but direct man I've met “ A F**K” indeed. But it seems to stand for I'm going to stand still not breathing or anything but please know I'm not dead. I was told that one as my constant knocking these people to the floor made many a customer laugh it was leaving a body pile on the ground.

But in my search for a job that I find this worlds CV system via the box rather annoying. Setting level requirements and skill restrictions sounds well and good as in away but it shows how blatantly reliant these people have become on there beloved boxes. I bet if there was some sort of box with a love heart on it they would think it meant they were in love or at least wound want to be a companion of the box(and vie friendship whoever was attached to the box but you know the box comes first.)

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

I'm starting to think my goal to fight the Goo-e might do far more harm than good. They don't know how to do practically anything without a box. Yes it's a sad great evil I want to stop but removing it, that near impossible task of destroying a multiverse controlling over god no matter how evil he is so ingrained into there lives it would be a cataclysm if they lost it. If I take those poor asses I call outlanders into consideration then we start to notice some even speaking in boxes, have some worlds even fallen so much that even conversations are done in text boxes rather than speech. I took to notice the language filter early but is that just its first step in destroying cultures in the hopes of a great unity or something.

But ah well, another decision to make, lists and decisions, I've been making far too many of both of those while. I've been in this world. But what shall I do to get a new job when they all have this incessant level requirement, as if having the actual qualifications wasn't enough or time spent doing it, no you need levels of experience to do anything. So what to do, what to…do?

“Hay Ginger get your self out of you weird depressed zombie mode, and you wonder why no bugger will hire low-bee when you go off and do that, you ain't in starter village anymore. Now get to work with a smile you miserable pointy assed wench.”

“I think you mean eared”

“I know what I mean and I say it, arse”

The work wasn't all that bad and though everything about it would scream degrading it did help get tips and the players knew what a tip was, sadly few knew how to give one.but that's the economy I live in.

Wait did that Kobolt just spill that trolls drink throwing an egg… My floor, that outlander just slapped a plumber with a vegetable and that guy just punched a falcon? Bwah why?

***Slap***

My ass.

“Hugo I'm calling in my Brawl break”

“Fine fine, it does seem my bar is ready to rumble”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm  not sure if I should be happy I reached one of the realisations I wanted, or sad that I couldn't think of better ways of going about explaining any of it all.

Ah well onto the brawl
