After explaining all that had transpired to me over the course of the past dark cycle, that time when Sol lets us rest, the reactions I received from the members present ranged from mass quantities of excitement to faces of exasperation.
“So you really did meet Luna? Not one claiming to be her, but the actual sister of our own deity?” Tesoro asked, the glee dripping from his voice much like the younger Ray’s when the Faithless come to the Conclave.
“Ray Adamas, I urge you to tell us if there is anything else.” Bright Daphne spoke, her left hand caressing her forehead as if she were a Beam who had to much alcohol the night before and woke up regretting it… not that I have any experience in that regard. Nope. Absolutely not.
My ever stoic father, for the first time in my life that I had seen, wore a face that had a mixture of surprise and horror; almost like he didn’t know which emotion to feel more of, so he decided to feel both at the same time. His face contorted, with his mouth forming an “O” shape in surprise while his cheeks tried to raise in a smile; his eyebrows raised in shock, while his eyes themselves shined with joy. Needless to say, he was a mess to look at, one that I hope to never see again; not because it wasn’t endearing, but rather because it was so odd seeing my father who always seemed to know what to do, not being able to make up his mind on how to react. It was odd to say the least.
The faces of Tesoro and Daphne held the expressions my father had on his face, only Tesoro decided to us the happy side of things, while Daphne wore the more shocked expression.
… it’s almost scary how quickly I’m getting used to this. Calling the Bright without using Bright and using his Luminous’s name, of which I had no knowledge prior to this meeting. This adaptability cant be simply from Luna’s blessing. It’s gatta be me to a degree, but why? I was never like this previously. Sure, I was always a bit curious, as Bright Daphne mentioned to me earlier, but thinking back on it; even back at the start of this whole debacle, the most that I did was ask questions. Sure, the whole falling thing left me speechless, but never once had I actually freaked out at the whole thing. Even when talking face to face with Luna herself, I asked questions. But I can’t say that I was actually left speechless or anything like that for long. I just… accepted what was going on around me, regardless of how absurd the situation was. Even looking back at my life, I had an exceptionally ordinary upbringing.
“Ah yes, adaptability, as you so bluntly put it, is necessary when dealing with Aspects and Manifestations alike,” Tesoro spoke, his smile never really leaving his face.
“What are you talking about Uncle? Adamas has yet to say anything regarding adaptability in the slightest.” Daphne spoke up, her hand not leaving her forehead as she tilted to get a better view of her uncle.
“Out loud? No, he hasn’t. Especially given how his past almost day has gone. I wouldn’t blame him for thinking the way he does. And I don’t. in fact, he is remarkably calm about this whole situation. Almost to calm, and that is in fact what has him so concerned currently. With all that’s happened to him, how is he still calm?”
“Uncle, what are you talking about?” Daphne said
“He’s saying,” my father said, “that Adamas was being more truthful than you or I wanted to believe. I have been around your Uncle since before Sol called Tesoro to be his voice within the Conclave.” Letting out a heavy sigh as if my father knew more about what was going on than I initially thought, he continued speaking. “Tesoro explained to me not long after Sol first appeared before him, he somehow gained to the ability to peer into the minds of others, but not just anyone and everyone could be peered in to. They had to be special, as Tesoro called them. They had to be…”

I cut my father off before he could finish. “Like me. Or candidates I’m assuming.”
Tesoro slammed his hands into his desk and immediately pointed at me. His enthusiasm beaming through his very being. “Exactly right, my boy! Any and all could be candidates, so I heard many voices when I was young. As I grew older, Sol had no true reason to favor so many at once as there was no immediate threat to the Conclave as a whole, so the voices I could hear decreased. But you, son of Daimos, not once have I ever heard your voice before today. An event like that doesn’t happen to often, and in your case it should have been impossible. For last night Sol sent me a vision. Within which I saw Sol surrounded by near uncountable smaller stars, some shining more brightly than others, but all required to make a bigger picture. Within these stars, one was suddenly whisked away by a dark net cast from the void. This net was not aimed at any one in particular within the picture. It was not even originally aimed at the picture, but instead for a field of darkness, but as the net was cast forth a large gust of what I can only describe as wind came through and carried the net from where it was going, to us. Before the net could be reeled back, a singular star was caught within its folds, and was dragged away.”
A silence fell over the room. One no one knew how to fill at such a revelation being made. So Tesoro decided to continue. “I quickly jumped from my bed at this, dressed myself, and hurried through the Conclave, looking and listening for the missing star. Which lead me to your house in my travels, at which point I noticed that Justicia was up in arms and gathering all who would listen. It’s a good thing I got there when I did, for your mother was about to have a rather sizable chunk of the conclave looking for you. It took quite a bit a convincing, made all the simpler by your Bright, my niece, being present to vouch for my words.”
Before I could even begin to talk, I noticed a feeling of intense frigidness appearing on my forehead. Clutching my temples, I hear Tesoro speak once more, this time much more directly to me. “Young Adamas, do not try and fight it, instead try to guide it. What you are experiencing, your contractor is trying to tell you something. In this case, I believe it to be something meant for other ears to hear as well.”
Attempting to focus, I couldn’t think of another spot to focus aside from where the pain originated, so I put all my focus into the spot between my currently closed eyes, followed by a feeling of ice flowing through my veins. Having no idea what was going on, all I could hear was Tesoro saying “Wow”.
Opening my eyes, I was greeted by a soft blue glow enveloping the room. “Where’s that light coming from?”
Astonished eyes all looking at me. Daphne slowly raised her right hand to between her eyes, and then motioned to me, and then back to between her eyes. “Ah,” I said softly bringing my hand to the mentioned spot on my own forehead. Once there, I felt the Moon’s eye that Luna said I now had. Its shape was that of a curved line about two inches across on top, with two separate lines in the shape of a crescent moon coming from the middle of the line on top; with multiple smaller line radiating out towards the crescent from the top line as well. I also felt a rough dot in the middle of the crescent shape, upon contact with that patch, I recoiled at what felt like near freezing or below temperatures coming from it.
“Would you look at that,” Tesoro said. “It does appear that we are in for a family reunion of sorts.” Raising the palm of his hand so that it was visible to me. Within his palm resided a yellow circle, multiple curved lines radiating from outside the circle to its middle making it look like it was very hot. At the point where all these lines collided was a red gem like structure. Slowly the yellow from his palm began to intermingle with the blue from my own source of light. “This should be fun to watch, what do you guys think?” Tesoro asked towards my father and Daphne who were as far into corners as they could go without leaving the room. Turning his head to look at me, “Well, young Adamas,” he said, “shall we welcome our new guests?”
