Jeremiah maces a dummy in the torso hard, taking out his frustration. “Freak this world man.” Half sighing in dissatisfaction.
Trinity Online came with two game-modes to play on, the easy mode and the hard mode. And boy, was he regretting hard mode.
The next action is a mace to the face of the training dummy. “If it ain’t the player versus player, its the PvP along with monsters that’ll get you killed out there.” States Jeremiah over beating a practice dummy till it submits.
But the dummy can’t! Nay’, it won’t!
Jeremiah was just laid out earlier by a couple of players teaming up, and is dealing with the aftermath of respawning. When you die in this game mode, you lose all your stuff. The consequence harsh. Luckily you still respawn without cooldown.
“Curses!” The dummy is oblivious to Jeremiah’s wrath bearing blow after blow.
Combat is realistic with weapon clashes; parrying, ripostes, chambering, feints, and morphs.
‘Whatever, hitting dummies only raises stats so much, time to get out there.’ Jeremiah thinks, giving the dummy a lingering smack before moving out of the training zone.
The hard mode of Trinity Online was a darker version. Instead of blue skies, it was a dark, and reddish atmosphere. Signifying this, there were more human enemies.
Leaving the hub, Jeremiah traveled to Era, the first hunting area. Where the loot needed to progress to the next area was found in various homes. Homes of cavemen who were enemy non-player-characters. Hostile NPCs who weren’t that tough alone, a beginning area.
“Jeez it’s the ‘Launch-Rush’, so many players.” Jeremiah cringed up his face. He traveled a little off road avoiding other players.
Waves upon waves of players hustled to Era, especially after respawning, hopes of being first to the next area.
Jeremiah found a beginning encampment of cavemen. You could see the loot in the center and the corners of the enemy’s band home. The dwelling place isn’t well made, built with primitive technology.
The loot however; was primeval weapons, bows, armor, salves and healing goods.
Jeremiah equipped with his Founder’s Mace proceeded to take on the three cavemen. The young man wasn’t too good at fighting, but same was said for the cave dwellers. Jeremiah’s trick up his sleeve was his mind.
When engaged in combat with the cavemen, after aggravating them he would constantly back-step, leading them in a row to fight them on one at a time.
“Easy…” Jeremiah said as if to pacify them. The Cavemen were on the other hand, very angry that someone was trespassing in their territory. You could tell from their creasing eyebrows. Bent very annoyingly like they were going to swat a fly.
‘So realistic.’ A stray thought appeared in Jeremiah’s mind despite the situation. It’s as if to say ‘I’m really here’. The young lad appreciated his good fortune to be in virtual reality.
What really drove it home, was when Jeremiah drove his Blessed Mace that didn’t drop when you gamed over, into the caveman’s head. There was a loud crack and the cave dweller collapsed! Just like that ‘a-not-so-real-person’ life was taken. Thank God for games!

Jeremiah noted only after the Homo Sapien died was that they we’re lightly armored. Like leather armor armored. The lore is probably they’re wearing the skin of the animals they hunted.
Jeremiah wonders if they would do the same amount of damage to him, but with primitive weapons most likely not.
With only two left, Jeremiah is raring to go, but another player shows up. His gamer tag is “YourMamaLastNight”. With public voice chat he says “Your mama last night on this penis!” And proceeds to come at the young lad with weapon raised. YourMamaLastNight is clearly not playing around. Jeremiah barely manages to parry the blow from YourMamaLastNight’s mace, and receives a club to the leg from the primitive man. It doesn’t slow him down.
‘Line em’ up…’ Jeremiah quickly thinks on his feet, back-pedaling as fast as he can. The cavemen speed is more walking/jogging while kite-able, in the meantime YourMamaLastNight movement is more of a sprint. The point being that YourMamaLastNight easily catches up to the lead of the conga line Jeremiah is making.
‘And knock em’ down!’ Jeremiah seizes the moment and stops back-pedaling. Jeremiah begins fighting with all the might that he muster. YourMamaLastNight doesn’t ease up either. They just parry and ripostes each other like noobs in back in forth to the death. Sometimes clashing from attacking the same time. The cavemen begin attacking YourMamaLastNight from the back.
“Oh no.” YourMamaLastNight says on public voip. Clearly in disarray, and alarmed at the not too good situation. Despite the situation, YourMamaLastNight manages to land two good blows on Jeremiah legs.
Eventually YourMamaLastNight loses out on the stamina game from missing too many blows. YourMamaLastNight is disarmed from his weapon for not having enough stamina to hold it and Jeremiah brains him twice for good measure.
The process is, as YourMamaLastNight takes a blow to the head, while falling Jeremiah adds another blow to the head. Jeremiah slowly becoming an expert at aiming at the upper Skull.
In a fury Jeremiah finishes the other two cave man by smashing their noggins, but suddenly Jeremiah is anxious. In order to move Jeremiah is forced to crawl. After some back and forth between standing and crawling, the man figured out his legs we’re broken. Without pain receptors on it went unnoticed for most of the fight.
In public chat, in the All channel, Jeremiah notices that YourMamaLastNight left him a message.
YourMamaLastNight: gf
Jeremiah: ty u 2
PeacePursuit: What a name YourMamaLastNight
Jeremiah responds in a hurry. Gf means “Good Fight” in Korean. I mean English. It means good fight in English and I’m not sure how it originated. Jeremiah in a huff, crawls towards the loot piles, clearly annoyed about the situation, But determined to get in and out without the mobs respawning on him. Jeremiah pickup and equips leather armor, bow, arrows, healing salve, leaving the primitive weapons as his mace is the clear winner here.
Fully decked out, Jeremiah crawls a distance away. The young lad tries the healing salve on his legs, but to no avail. It only recovers hp. ‘I think I might need a splint, two of em’ even.’ Unsure Jeremiah thinks. The young lad vaguely remembers watching the launch trailer show casing splints healing injures such as broken arms among other things. Hopefully that is what he needed.
Jeremiah leveled up from the encounter, but as far as the young man can tell, its prestige only. No additional hp or stats from leveling up.
Jeremiah begins to crawl back to town along another route. Approaching the town heading north, from the east of Era, the cavemen hunting ground. Heading back to Bluecote the main player hub, the newbie spawning area, the trading hub, the arena, and the training area, you name it.
Jeremiah decided on this route to avoid other players deciding he was an easy target. The decked out young lad was vulnerable to all player killers, and the young man was keen on keeping his loot.
It was then that Jeremiah would remember this moment forever. He was doing barrel-rolls, rolling sideways while crawling to see if it was faster, but it was the same speed. When out of no where a dashing young man appeared from behind.
“Have you heard of Joe?” The bold, flamboyant young man said.
Jeremiah was too scared to turn around. “Joe who?”
“JOE MAMA!” The dashing young man bellowed in laughter.
Jeremiah crawled in an 180 to face the flamboyant young man ‘He saw me doing barrel-rolls.’ The young lad was red faced.
While Jeremiah was reading his gamer tag, the bold young man was still laughing from his joke. The gamer name read, “The Goon”.
