Chapter 1: From The End Into The Beginning

"I'm sorry Mr. Ingram, but the likelihood of you living for another week is very slim. Again… I apologize for not being able to do anything." A middle-aged man wearing a doctor's uniform said while biting his lower lip in frustration.

He may sound crude, but this man has been taking care of me for the past 12 years. He's always been supporting me since the very beginning, so I can only imagine what it's like to look a 25-year-old in the face, and tell him he's going to die soon.

"Don't worry doc, this was bound to happen eventually, so don't look so mad at the fact you can't do anything." I responded with a sickly frail voice.

All he could do was stand there and say sorry over and over again. I've always felt bad for the guys that have to deliver the harsh message to a dying patient, but now that I'm experiencing it first hand, it feels a lot worse than I thought.

When he left, I just laid in my bed for an untold amount of time until my mind started drifting into memories of the past.

I went through every core memory, and started to cry like a child in the lone hospital room with no one to see me off.

My adoptive parents had already passed on due to old age, and since I have no siblings or family of my own, it'll just be me and my thoughts as I pass on.

'I wonder how my life would have turned out... if I had never been diagnosed with cancer at such a young age.'

"Maybe… maybe I could have lived the way I wanted to." I said as tears flowed down my cheek's.

A week later I peacefully passed on in my sleep, my mind went blank and my consciousness drifted away.

All that was left was my soul, which drifted in an endless sea of darkness.

As my soul drifted aimlessly in the darkness, unbeknownst to me, an entity in the form of a snake flowed around it. Even though My soul was surrounded by darkness, it could still see the figure of the snake clear as day, it was as if it were darker than dark. When the snake was finished looking my soul over, it opened its mouth and ate it whole.

After that, the snake and the soul it had eaten, vanished without a single trace. It was almost as if they were never there in the first place.

'What's up with this blinding light? I thought when you die, you'd be surrounded by darkness, not light!'

"Ruudu va stric." An elderly voice spoke out.

'Hmm, what language was that? Wait, maybe the reason I'm surrounded by light is because I made it to heaven, and now the Lord is trying to speak to me in the language of the God's. That's the only logical conclusion… clearly.'

"Waka cor asa tabata." The elderly voice continued.

"Bah bah burrrr ha bababab phsss ba ba bulbbb bulbbbbphsss (Sorry to cut you off god, but I'm not quite understanding the gibberish you're speaking)."

'Excuse me, what was that just now? Why was I speaking baby babble in front of God?'

As I was crying over embarrassing myself in front of the highest power, I was lifted up into the air and started flying all over the place.

I tried opening my eyes again, but the light was still too bright to handle.

After I flew around a couple more times, I ended up in what felt like a fleshy bed and decided that it was now or never to open my eyes.

Even though the light was still bright, I forced them open, and what I saw in front of me... didn't shock me one bit.

I saw giant people all around me, and the fleshy bed I was laying in was actually a massive woman's arms. I'm not sure who these other guys are, but that old guy over there has to be God.

He was ancient looking, I mean wise looking and… who am I kidding, that's just a regular old geezer. I mean seriously, how can God not stand up without the help of a cane?

What is this? If I wasn't brought to heaven, then where am I? Could this be a dream, and I'm on the verge of dying on the outside?

As I was thinking of every question possible, the old man waddled over and placed his massive thumb on my forehead.

"Hakkar na mguca." The elderly man said after standing there for over a minute.

'If this is my dream, why can't I make it so I can understand this forsaken language?'

After the old man said that, he turned around and walked through the 'door' that lead into this place.

The 'door' was actually just 2 sheets of cloth that split apart. This led me to look around, and I ended up seeing that the place I was currently in was akin to a cloth hut. The more I looked, the more I found out that the hut looked archaic and basic.

'This place is smaller and less advanced than I thought it would be.'

I wasn't sure what was happening, and my brain couldn't comprehend any of it. Am I in heaven? Am I still alive? Is this a dream?

’I don't know what's going on, and it truly frightens me that nothing I know can help me out in a situation like this.’

As I started to have a small panic attack, the large woman who I was currently in the arms of, grabbed my hand and held it close to her chest.

'My hand! I have a chubby baby hand!'

'Hold on!'

For the first time while I was here, my mind finally found an explanation for the reason I was in such a predicament.

It may be a bit outlandish, but I think I was reincarnated into this family's newborn child. I'm not sure how something like this would happen, and it could still all be a massive elaborate dream, but if not… I can finally have a chance at living the life I've always dreamed of.
