That night,
“Yes! That is true! I, Sakae Kiriya, am the bearer of good news!”
Kiriya rehearses his lines, determined to cheer Reah up. He adjusts his tone multiple times, striving to strike the it to perfection. Taking a deep breath, he clears his throat aggressively, mentally preparing himself before heading upstairs. "Any woman will fall for me. I have a beautiful voice, lulling their hearts to be hypnotized!"
He tiptoes cautiously, mindful of every step, as he draws closer to her room. Just as he is about to gently tap on the door, his smile fades, and heaviness fills his heart. The sound of her voice, filled with pain, reaches his ears, as she seeks solace within herself. The faint, stifled cries resonate deeply within him, tugging at his emotions, and he decides to abandon his plan to knock on the door.
The next morning,
Entering her room, he carefully closed the door with his leg while holding two jugs of coffee without spilling any of them on the floor. Reah, who had just woken up, saw him and immediately helped him take the jugs to a table. "Thank you," Kiriya said.
Using her magic, with just a wave of her hand, she cleansed her face and revitalized her body, leaving her looking refreshed and radiant. Despite the seemingly unkempt state of her room, she maintained impeccable hygiene. The room itself resembled a cluttered storeroom, with items scattered haphazardly.
The scent of mangosteen mingled with an enticing fragrance that beckoned one to inhale deeply, craving more than just a single breath, just like Kiriya did when he stepped in.
"T-That is still... Never mind," Kiriya exclaimed. The coffee is still hot, but she drank from the jug while writing in a thick book, which happened to be her fifth diary. The previous four were already filled to the brim, and even the fifth one had only a few blank pages remaining. Her handwriting was swift, covering three pages in a short amount of time, as if she were desperately trying to capture every thought.
As Kiriya moved about the room, tidying up and organizing, he couldn't help but notice the disarray. He started to work on everything in the room, especially the bed, neatly folding the sheets and fluffing the pillows. With a light-hearted tone, he playfully remarked, "The only thing you take good care of is yourself... You don't even bother to make your bed. You leave it like that every day— Oh my, your hair are all over the floor..." Frustration welled up within him, his eyes drawn to the shade of her pink coloured hair. It was a constant distraction. Unable to resist, he tried to softly and elegantly brushed the stray strands under the bed with his feet.
She slept every night with her armor still tightly secured around her body. She rarely took it off or probably never did. The plate from the previous day’s meal sat untouched on the table, waiting to be cleaned. Kiriya, growing increasingly exasperated.
“Excuse me,” he sighed, his voice tinged with frustration, as he gathered the unwashed dishes and carried them to the kitchen. The clattering sound reverberated, a symphony of hasty movements and careless abandon. The plates and utensils rattled precariously, but thankfully, none succumbed to the pressure of his hurried touch.
“Seems like I need to make another jug for her.” As Kiriya scrubbed the dishes, water splashed and suds formed a frothy chaos in the sink. His mind raced with many unwanted thoughts.
I don’t really know how to help her because she insists on doing everything alone, including her research. It makes me feel useless, but I still possess great strength. If she ever wants it, I can offer my assistance and lend her my strength. Hell, even my life!
It’s strange though, despite being around the same age, even though I actually forgot how old I am now but every time I look at her, she reminds me of my mother. Not only that, but her voice also bears a resemblance to my mother’s, albeit slightly deeper for a woman. I can’t explain this feeling. Apart from the messiness of her room, she takes the time to clean up everything once a month, especially when the scattered papers become too distracting.
"Reah, another one?" he asked, showing her the jug with a smile on his face. After a brief smile, she continued writing, her pace faster than before, immersing herself deeper into her thoughts. The diaries were already full, so she started using another piece of paper. Those papers was almost as thick as her diaries.
As Kiriya opened the window, a stream of sunlight flooded into the room,. He noticed the people they had helped yesterday, their voices echoing with playful banter as they gathered together, forming their own lively group. Kiriya couldn’t help but let out a hearty chuckle, thoroughly amused by their antics.
"What a fool. Look at all of you," he said, turning to Reah. "Still, I can't believe you really pulled it off. You know better than me how dangerous it is to go against the rule of Authority. It can't be used against those who don't have permanent Authority. That's why we only use it against our enemies. The disadvantageous effects are inflicted on them."
She finally finished writing and began organizing everything on the shelf. After a long sigh, she sat back in her chair, attempting to calm herself while massaging her forehead. She remained deep in her thoughts.
That explains why I have been so hesitant. A part of me is telling me not to do it. It is not as I remember. I do not have any recollection of those rules, no matter how much I dig into my brain to find out why. This is new... I have not used my authority since the last phenomenon three years ago. This is... I hope I am wrong. I do not know... Is there any rules begin with?

“Why are you so quiet? Come on, you are the only one who did all the work. You work extremely hard just to make this happen. Even though there are a few things I didn’t recall, but I have good eyes. I can see how much you put into this. Hell, you don’t even get enough sleep every day,” He said, while pouring a coffee for himself as he sat in the chair.
She smiled, “I thought you did not notice. I used magic to remove the fatigue. Going on for a month or two is not a problem with—"
“A month?! You used magic?! Are you kidding me? That’s dangerous! There are side effects for that, you know!” He exclaimed as he slapped the table. It startled her.
“We used it during the war for over a year. Do not act so surprised. And be careful, that is your father’s jug.”
"I thought you just drank too much coffee... I had to buy it every week. 'She drinks a jug or more a day, oh, that's not a problem.' That's what I said. Never did I think you actually used magic." He sighed in disappointment.
"I wish you remembered everything. But seeing you in this condition is more than enough. I am grateful." She kept her smile while tapping the table with her finger.
"Yeah, from now on, you only drink coffee. Use magic only when needed. It's bad for your brain." He muttered, looking very worried.
"It is needed. The effect of the coffee would not last long when you are already used to it. It only increases fatigue."
"Is that so?" He is embarrassed, carefully sipping his cup.
"This is my responsibility. I know I should not be experimenting... No, I am not experimenting. I have already planned this thoroughly. It is within my grasp if everything goes south. I have more than enough resources and ability to fix it..."
"Why do you say it as if you've failed? I see this as a success. They are not as bad as they were before. You did a good job."
He... He did not know. He might have already forgotten what the affected victims are experiencing. He might think confusion is the only effect. My, his memory is getting worse. I hope he does not lose himself. If that happens, I do not know what to do... I...
“By the way, there are two of them claiming to be reincarnated into our world. The other one said he was transferred here, destined to be a hero. I was right to slap that little shit yesterday,” he laughed.
“What else did they tell you?”
“I don’t know. I didn’t hear it clearly after that. I mean, it’s so funny. What in the world do they think this is? The only goddess I know is you. There’s no divine being waiting for them here, that so-called goddess they mentioned,” he continues laughing, but his eyes are seeking to recall something.
As for Reah, her eyes are filled with brightness, everything that was bleak is now renewed with a fluid of rejuvenation, a hope. She carefully placed the empty jug on the table, her eyes gleaming with a multitude of thoughts racing through her mind.
He is jolted by his thought, "Oh, no, no. I think there are five of them saying similar things. Three of them have reincarnated here, and two of them have been transferred. There are even more amusing things they mentioned. They said they are looking for the goddess who summoned them here, claiming that she will embrace them with her 'warmth' and grant them a 'gift', a power to save the world."
He couldn't hold his laughter, "It's so funny when you hear it! It's too hilarious that I laughed so hard during their explanations," he continuously slaps the table as his laughter causes chaos in the room.
Reah catches the jug from falling. It forces her to bring everything to the kitchen as Kiriya is already possessed by himself...
It is not funny, Kiriya. I cannot see nor read their souls anymore because my Authority is gone. But I can say they are telling the truth. I am not sure about the goddess part, but I am certain they are telling the truth because I accidentally summoned them into this world.
Yes... There is hope. I can fix it. I need their help with these phenomena. It might occur in their world too. Even a fraction of knowledge related to this phenomenon is more than enough. I just need a clue. I would be more than grateful if I have even a dust of that knowledge.

It is a very bright but somehow chilly morning. The sun is shining brightly after a few hours of rising. The birds are singing along as the wind blows at the abandoned mansion they have entered. Reah and the group of people that Kiriya introduced to her the other day are coming to an agreement on something, and she offers her part to make it a reality. As the door closes slowly, the weather outside slowly changes, with thin clouds starting to cover the sunlight and the wind becoming still. The group of men walks in front of her, not uttering a single word but being very careful with each step.
They warn Reah about the device they found inside the mansion, which they know is related to their world. Despite the many warnings, she remains composed and nonchalant but hopeful. After a decade of hunting for a solution to the mysterious phenomenon, she never gives up hope, no matter how silly it may sound.
Reah stood tall, her arms swinging in a confident rhythm as she gracefully took each step. The weight of their gazes bore down on her, their annoyance evident in their expressions as they briefly glanced in her direction.
Roman, the leader of the group, finally broke the heavy silence. “In our world, there exists a creature with boundless knowledge,” he began, his voice carrying a mix of reverence and urgency. “These creatures hold the key to unraveling the mysteries that surround us. Our people have received a prophecy, foretelling the impending end of our world, and it is from these creatures that we seek guidance.”
“I sympathize with what has happened. The people in your world are doing their best to prevent it, from what I can see,” she firmly said.
“Thank you. You actually saved me, saved us from further suffering during the apocalyptic event. Without you, we would have been eradicated,” they bowed their heads to her.
“With the knowledge we will obtain, the world we are in now should find relief from its disorientation, and the terror brought by the phenomenon will cease,” she nodded slightly, seriousness etched on her face.
“I will make it happen. This is the only way,” he declared, his determined footsteps carrying him closer to the towering device. Its imposing presence was accentuated by the encircling dark blue crystal, pulsating with an otherworldly energy. At its core, nestled amidst the crystal, lay a formation resembling delicate coral, its intricate patterns intertwined with the pulsating essence.
Before his hand could make contact, he turned his gaze towards her, his eyes filled with a mixture of determination and concern. “In case anything happens...” his voice trailed off.
“Leave it to me,” she assured, standing closer to the device.
