Muttering whilst I was half asleep I realise I was hugging a really soft pillow. The fluffiness of this pillow was otherworldly and I wanted to stay curled up like this forever. However the cool breeze, singing birds and the image of a humongous wolf woke me up. Taking a look around at my surroundings I see that I’m in the middle of a clearing in the same forest. Looking around the huge wolf was nowhere to be seen.

Bringing my attention to where I was sleeping I saw that I was curled up in a woman’s embrace. The woman was a stunning beauty. Black hair flowing down to her shoulders. Matching black eyes twinkling like the endless night sky. However the most surprising thing about this woman was that she had wolf ears on top of her head! I was frozen in place in awe of this woman’s beauty.

“Little one, you have finally awoken.”

Her voice gentle and warm voice pulled me out of my trance. I barely manage to reply by shyly nodding.

“Are you feeling better? You collapsed on this one.”

Seeing the concern on this beauty almost made me blush. I quickly changed my thoughts on why I even collapsed. Trying to remember what happened before I collapsed was just giving me a headache, however the blood on my hands brought everything back in a flash. The sweet aftertaste in my mouth, my lips covered in dry blood. I remembered what occurred yesterday clearly.

My eyes were now wide open with shock and fear. I remember losing myself in drinking blood from the wolf in my stupid dream. Seeing me constantly changing my expression the beautiful woman spoke once again.

“Looks like you have recalled yesterday’s events.”

Something in my mind told me she was the wolf. Feeling extremely guilty I bow my head and start to sincerely apologise.

“This one does not need an apology.” She said interrupting me.

Listening to her soothing voice I start to calm down. I start to thank her instead for staying with me since I collapsed..

Seeing the little one apologising and thanking her so sincerely the woman brightened her surrounding with a beautiful smile. Seeing the little blush she started patting her head.

“Little one, this one wants to know why you are in this ones forest.”

I was blushing like crazy with her patting my head and had no idea on how to reply. I have no idea who I am or what I was even doing in the tomb. Heck am I even human? There’s no way she will believe the truth so I reluctantly tell her half the truth.

“Um, I only woke up recently. I have no memories of this place. I don’t even know who or what I am.”

Returning to earth was impossible. My body was destroyed in the accident, so I guess this is my second chance at life.

I start to look at all the dried up blood on my hands. I could only think of one creature that drinks blood to quench its thirst.

I am half certain at this guess since I had red eyes and the hunger for blood but it doesn’t explain how I was walking in the forest in broad daylight.

“Eh, magic?” I was baffled by her question.

I shout with a bright smile waiting for a blue screen to pop up in front of me. In reality nothing happened.

The woman was now wearing a smug smile on her face. “little one you have to use mana too.”

The woman was trying her hardest to hold in her laughter. Watching the little lady in front of her become bright red in embarrassment she couldn’t help but think how cute she was.

Kill me now. Throw me into ditch and bury me alive! How embarrassing! Of course I have to use mana how dumb can I be! Things don’t pop out of thin air. I screamed at myself in my mind.

Calming down I try to sense mana. After a few minutes of meditating I start to. feel mana in the air and inside me. I’ve read many light novels and have to say they were on the right track. Mana felt like a bubble inside me which I could mould to my liking.

“Vampire princess, huh.” I said dazed. The reality of not being human wasn’t too harsh nor was I too attached to being human. In a fantasy world or a game, being human was definitely the most boring option.

Going over my stats I was shocked to see my weaknesses. If I was a normal vampire I would already be a pile of ash or worse. My royal blood allows me to walk during the day but it slowly drains my mana. No wonder I lost control of myself yesterday. My mana was so low that I most likely lost myself at the sight of blood when I considered myself safe.

Being a vampire princess has its positives and negatives. I can last a couple of hours in sunlight, but I’ll need to feed everyday which can become a problem. It looks like the rate of losing mana depends on the amount of sunlight I’m exposed to.

When there’s no sunlight shining down on my body my stats can become doubled. I don’t wan’t to dress like a mummy but skin revealing cloths are definitely a no go. Being a guy before I can’t see myself wearing revealing dresses anyway .

Being in a fantasy world I’m guessing slavery is a thing here too. Although it’s fucked up having a slave but keeping one as a partner might be the way to go. Plus I might be able to mofumofu a beast-kin! Although theirs wolf-san in front of me I was too nervous to even try mofumofu her. It’s like randomly asking the school beauty for a hug.

Health wise I have strong regeneration. I use mana to heal myself. My mana pool is huge but honestly I want it to be bigger. I have a lot of important things relying on my mana so increasing my mana pool is a high priority.

Magic wise vampires are weak to the holy element. On the other hand vampires have a higher affinity to the dark element. As a vampire princess I’m not as weak to the holy element as a normal vampire, but it’s still a weakness I need to be wary off.

What’s truly shocking is the space/time affinity. A useless person would just use something like a dimensional space as an inventory area but the possibilities I see are endless. If I can truly use time as magic I could be super overpowered. Stopping time itself is a feat that shouldn’t be possible but what if! Even slowing down time to a snails pace would be overpowered and this is just stopping or slowing down time. What if the opposite if possible too? Speeding up time or even reversing time. The possibilities are getting me super excited.

Another stat that caught my eye was my charm. Being beautiful doesn’t have to be bad thing but I need to get stronger fast. I’ve seen creeps approach my mother only to be sent to the hospital. In this type of world I’m definitely going to have to deal with shit like that.

Looking over the rest of my stats I decide to stick to my original style of fighting. Don’t get me wrong I’m still gunna use magic but right now I don’t even know the basics in magic. The more I learn the more I can implement into my style. I’m just hoping to find a good sword to use. I prefer katanas but I’ll take what I can get.

“So you’re a blood sucking princess, a ruler of the night, that explains your long slumber but not your missing memories.” The woman spoke interrupting my thoughts.

“Well I guess that’s something for me to find out.” I said slightly depressed. I didn’t know if I have memories to find in the first place.

Trying to get rid of the awkward silence I change the topic and ask wolf-san a question. “Ne wolf-san do you have a name?”

“This one has no name.” She said without showing any emotions.

Uwah, see at this point in time the protagonist would give wolf-san a cute name right. Yeahhh, fuck that! This wolf is not only bigger than my house on earth she’s also super good looking in her human form. On earth I didn’t have any problem talking to girls but wolf-san over here is like a super hot model. Maybe if I get really ballsy I’ll call her wolf-chan but I don’t think I have the right to name her in the first place.

About my name I’m not sure if I want to keep it as Yuki. On one hand changing it will just be a hassle but on the other Yuki died on earth. Should I start a new?

While I was still agonising on the thought of changing or not changing my name the sun was starting to rise. The bright sun peering over the top of the trees was giving birth to a beautiful sunrise. For me however this was awful. I don’t have anyone to feed from. I can’t bring myself to ask wolf-san just imagining my self biting her neck was making me blush. Plus I don’t know if she will let me drink from her anyway so I should play safe and get out of the sun.

Getting up I reluctantly abandon my fluffy heaven. I start making my way to the edge of the clearing and sit at the bottom of the thickest tree. Hopefully this will stop me losing my mana. My silk gown wasn’t exactly the most protective of clothing. With a lot of skin exposed I’ll be losing a lot of mana.

“Sunlight drains my mana, although it’s pretty slow I don’t have any blood to drink to replenish it.” I told wolf-san as she was curiously watching me.

Seeing this wolf-san came and sat down next to me. I can’t help but wonder why she’s helping me. Not only did she not instantly kill me when I started sucking her blood she even kept me safe while I was unconscious.

“Wolf-san aren’t you angry that I drank your blood?” I asked gazing into her alluring eyes.

“This one does not mind.” She said with a gentle smile.

Cheering up I start thinking of what I was going to do next.

“Wolf-san do you know how I can get out of this forest?”

For the first time I saw her frown.

“Little lady, this one thinks you are not ready for the journey to exit this forest. The only reason you’re safe right now is because you are in the heart of this ones territory. The further away you go from this point the greater the danger becomes. Right now this forest is too dangerous for you..”

Shocked by what she said I became wary of my surroundings. I didn’t doubt her words, I’m only level 1 I can’t even imagine what level wolf-san is.

“I-is that so?” I was feeling slightly disappointed, but it was going to happen at some point right? I need to get stronger and learn magic. I’m only safe right now because or wolf-san. It’s not like the first monster I’ll see is a slime what if it was something as scary as wolf-san.

Standing up I make an important decision. Bowing my head like a student would do to her master. I once again stare into the majestic eyes of the beautiful woman sat down leaning against the tree.

“Please teach me how to use magic. I want to become stronger.”

Seeing another new expression from the woman in front of me I started to regret my decision instantly. The gentle caring woman was gone. Instead a smile representing a wolf hunting her prey was showing. Worst of all her aura was just like my mothers.

“Gladly.”
