A few hours had passed in the city of Aquanus after the sky festival had started. The dark and gloomy sky was slowly changing to a calm afternoon once again. The figure of the sky giant covering the sky slowly started to move away from the city. The uneasiness that everyone felt was gone now.
A group of hunters was handling a few fish that they caught. Cleaning the mess with the civilians as well as receiving gifts from them.
A person after finishing his work looked at the sky. He had a smile on his face as finally, the dreadful event had passed.
“It’s finally calmed down. The festival is over. Honestly, I expected more from what the people said about it. Maybe it was exaggerated?”
A person standing near him was tying knots with a very thick rope on the dead sky lying on the ground. He faced the other hunter with a serious look. His eyes had a look of terror. He faced the young hunter that had scales and a demi-human physique. Having a tail and arms with claws. he was wearing gloves on his hands. he had a tall tall Humanoid dragon-like appearance.
“This is no festival rookie. It would be best if you thanked the lunar that this was very mild compared to the regions beyond the Unix kingdom I have seen. The sky festival is a big blessing but it bears curses as well. ”
The person who gave him this advice was a Phinxe. A subspecies of elves. Having a massive body build full of muscles and near-white hair. He had covered his face only. His hair was on display.
The Young draconite was confused. He made an eerie face. He was just joking. He just peeked at the hair of the old Phinxe. Their tentacle hair changed color the more they aged was a clear indication of how old they were.
“This was mild? How? We barely survived. How did other cities In other regions survive??”
The old man looked him dead in the eyes
“The—“
A loud voice interrupted both of them.
“Guys, don’t waste time in the useless batter. We need to clean this mess and help get the corpses out of here. Or else we will be stuck cleaning it in the night as well. Get to work”
The old Phinxe just dropped the chat and got to work. He picked up and put the 17 feet length skyfish on his back like they it was a sack of potatoes. The 8 feet Phinxe paused before turning back and just glancing with an emotionless look at the young draconite.
The young draconite was very caught off guard. For a few seconds, he just stared at the phinxe going towards the trailer to load the fish. He just had no words to describe the situation.
[just what did he see?]

meanwhile, Many people were returning homes as they were hiding in the nearby churches and temples of the holy gods. A group of hunters was discussing something with a knight near the market district of the city.
“That is all we know, Mr. Knight. So are we free to go?”
“Yes, you may go. Before that”
The knight approached a young armored boy. Placing his hand on his shoulders he said
“Rookie, don't make the same mistake again. Saving lives is a great feat of courage and determination but you had the blessing of lunar that you survived with your lives. Most are not lucky enough. Never underestimate a magical beast. They are unpredictable. Have some concern for your own safety kid.”
Patting his back with a gentle smile on the captain knight's face he said
“Grow strong if you want to save lives. Currently, you will just be a burden to others. But who knows what the future awaits? You have talents and guts. That takes most very far if you use them wisely”
The young boy put his head down to show respect to the one that saved his life.
“Thank you I will grow strong. To save others by using my strength”
[Ray. I will repay your kindnesses for saving our lives]
The knight captain liked his answer a lot. Most would avoid being in danger and rather save their life in the face of death. The world was full of dangers and threats. There are not many who would bear arms to protect others.
“What’s your name little one”
The boy had a worried look after the knight captain asked this question. Looking at all the other senior hunters and finally the dwarf. All 4 of them nodded with a smile.
“My name is Henry.”
The knight noted that he did not want to give his last name so he did not ask out of respect for Henry.
“My name is Strongelion. A captain knight of Champions orders”
Both shake hands after greeting themselves.
In a big room with lots of space. Ray is lying unconscious on a table in a prone position. A person was using a thread and stitching a ray wound on his back. The person then applied some glowing water to the wound and wiped the rest.
“How is he? Will he be fine?”
After excusing himself from ray treatment the doctor faced a woman. She was watching with Hans standing a little far away in an upright position. Ray's mother had a worried expression. Hans did not react.
“The wound on the back will heal in no time. The problem is his left hand and some area on the torso. It has severe burns from magical residue. There is still magical energy that will cause intense pain and will not heal. We need to get a doctor to dispel the residue. ”
Ray's mother Ullie worried look made the butler Hans a little iffy and he reaffirmed her by saying.
“Madam Ullie, You don’t need to worry.”
With a gentle smile. he said
“He is a brave lad. Today he saved both his little brother's and a stranger’s life. You should be proud of him. He finally opened up a little after hiding himself from everyone. He is a high-human like us so he will recover fast. I will get the best mage as soon as possible to get master ray the treatment”
Going to the ground on one of his knees in Genuflection, Hans bowed his head to Ullie.
“I’m sorry I have failed to protect him. I should have prioritized the two sons' safety more. This will not happen again”
Hans actually did prioritize their safety. He did not tell that he took out a lot of airborne sky fish near the young boys when both avan and ray were trying to battle one on the ground. he did not rush because the circumstances did not seem as dire. There was one person that could kill the fish with ease. Hans did not expect him to not use his ability. That was his bad judgment
Ullie was made aware of what happened by hans. Still, she could not forgive him for prioritizing the life of some strangers over her son’s life. she was angry at hans visibly
“This will not happen again. That should be very clear. Ray is not strong. He is weak mentally. He is just misunderstood by others. He has been through much like all of us. You endangered both their lives. Even your son's life was in danger. I hope you understand my point. We should take care of our own kind. They will never appreciate anything we will ever do."
With an apologetic look, he further titled his head a little
"yes My lady"
The doctor had already left the room. After apologizing Hasn left as well. Ullie sat beside Ray in his bed and caressed his head with her hand gently. She had a gentle look of a mother that was looking after his son. An hour passed
Ullie Kissed him on the forehead she left the room after that
“Get well my son. I will never let you do something so dangerous again”
She had a serious and determined look as she left the room.
Ray was left in the room to rest in the bed to recover. He was still unconscious. The night approached as well as the city started to prepare to celebrate the upcoming festival.
