Leaving the Tower (2)

Leaving the Tower (2)

Ku Jian had dashed off into battle the second the tower's voice had stated the rules. All that concerned her at this moment was killing enough people to return to Ed's side when he was about to leave. She knew that her Brother Ed had important things to do, and would not wait for her if she lagged behind. She had to hold her own. It did not occur to her once that Ed might have it difficult handling those on his staircase as she knew her Brother Ed was not someone to be trifled with.

She dashed into the crowd of people and appeared in their centre, spinning 360 degrees as she released two swords in hand. Many were not sure how she moved as heads rolled and blood spewed all over the place.

"Catch her!" they bellowed, much angrier at her audacity.

"Shut it!" she scoffed and the heads of those who had spoken dropped and rolled down the stairs. The staircase was crowded, but people were unprepared for this girl's vicious acts. She killed without blinking, with that slight smile on her lip. Her entire demeanour, from her beautiful smiling face to her fluttering robes as she spun in the air, killing without stop, made her seem otherworldly. Her title was well deserved. All those around felt a chill down their spine.

The next moment, she stopped and stared at them.

"There are too many of you, why don't you all first decide who is going to fight me," she said and anger spread in the crowd.

"You are only one person, do you think you can kill us all?" they started to ask.

"True,"

"No matter how strong you are, those on the higher steps are yet to react to you anyway," another said.

"Shut up!" Ku Jian said and a head fell. Many started to retreat as not all of them saw how she had moved.

"Are you going to start fighting or not? After all, you guys stand a better chance fighting each other than fighting me," she said and they all looked amongst themselves.

"Will you immediately kill the last people who survive?" one of them asked what they were all thinking.

"Of course not," she answered and many dangerously looked at each other. They saw the look in their eyes. They all wanted to live. They knew this girl was going to kill everyone and them; Small Fries were the ones who would most definitely die. Suddenly, one person moved, killing the person in front of him, and causing a fight to break out.

Ku Jian smiled sweetly at the sight and then turned her attention to those standing on higher steps. She understood that these steps must be special and only those with high cultivation and mental strength could climb them. She was sure that the tower probably created a scenario where a lot of people will die. Those standing on the higher steps were obviously much stronger than these little ones fighting.

She saw that they barely cared about her. Most of their attention was on Brother Ed's staircase. At this, she chuckled.

"Oh? You are so strong, you don't care about the enemy before you?" she said and many turned to look at her. They saw the carnage going on with those on the lower stairs and frowned; this woman got those down there to break into a fight?

Looking at how those fighting were avoiding her, yet fighting frantically for their lives, they felt the situation very odd. They only looked away for a second at the other stairs to see how an energy manipulator would fight and gauge the level of ability that would make someone a rankless in the tower, only to turn back to find that all hell had broken loose on the lower steps.

Still, they did not think much of this girl in front of them, they were confident in their abilities.

"Why don't I offer you the same deal I gave them; you can decide for yourselves those who are strongest amongst you, to reduce the stress," she said and they felt the need to raise a brow. They had been listening to her companions from their staircases and found that these people talked very similarly; the shameless words that left their mouths were very brow-raising. This girl before them did not put them in her eyes.

"Do you think such despicable things will work on us?" someone asked.

"Oh? You don't want to?" she asked and they shot her a demeaning look.

"Do you think we are fools?" someone asked.

"Yes, I think you are all fools," she said bluntly and anger rang through them.

"Slut!" a female cultivator scuffed.

"You really won't consider the deal?" Ku Jian asked.

"It is not like you are a rankless or that energy manipulator, why should we fear you?" A female cultivator asked.

"Yes, our young master is on this staircase and you wish to dominate? Dream on!" another female cultivator said indignantly.

"Oh? It's a fan club. I heard of this back in my clan. Little flies will gather around a large dump of shit hoping a bit of the smell rubs off on them," Ku Jian said in fascination, "I can't believe I get to see it,"

"What?"

"Who are you calling flies?"

"You dare to call Young Master Ju shit?" the girls fumed. They itched to go forward and slap Ku Jian's face to the back of her head.

"Oh? You are their dump of shit?" she looked at the cold young man the girls were surrounding.

"You have a sharp tongue," he answered coldly.

"Think about it, this is a good deal. What kind of people can pass up a good deal?" she asked and one of them scoffed at her shamelessness. How does one even get to this level of thought form?

"Shut it!" a girl dashed forward, but Ku Jian's form only shook slightly and the girl's head dropped and rolled down the stairs.

"Junior sister!" the other girls were startled.

"You are courting death," Young Master Ju said coldly. This girl dared kill his people in his presence, isn't that slapping his face?

"Fine then, I will deal with you first. My Brother Ed will soon be done and I have to hurry up so that he does not leave me behind," she said and disappeared from her spot. She appeared right before the first person and slapped his head and it exploded before her. She disappeared and appeared on the other side of one of the groups and slapped another's head and it exploded, leaving their body still standing straight, stiff and unbending.

"She's creating a human seal!" one of them said in realization and retreated in a hurry. Hearing what he had said, many tried to scatter away. Ku Jian scoffed as she saw this Young Master Ju dashing away without taking any of his fan club members. She could not let them scatter so quickly. Even though she had not completely encompassed the entire area, she raised her hand in the air and created signs as she shouted, "Blood soup!"

The moment her voice rang through the stairs, the still-standing headless people opened their arms and blood spurt from their beheaded shoulders into the air, forming a red pool inside the boundary of their bodies. Those who were touched by the blood pulling and curing in the middle of the headless cultivators melted and joined the pull of blood.

In just a few seconds, Tens of people including a large portion of Young Master Ju's fan club caught in the seal had turned into a pull of blood. The crowd of almost fifty had reduced to twenty. Everybody was frozen, some even vomited at the sight. They looked up at the smiling girl before them and felt a chill run down their spines; this woman was dangerous!

"You should have taken the deal," she said and they paled.
