Chapter 7: Two years gone bye and him

Chapter 7: Two years gone bye and him

Two years had passed since that day and I had really enjoyed them.

Yoda didn’t need long to figure out my ability to understand what’s going on around me, so he began challenging me with small tasks and began my Jedi training early.

I spoke my first words after half a year, around the same time I started walking and asked Yoda to teach me reading just two months after. This might have seemed early, but since I was part of a unique species and had an extremely strong bond with the force nobody really questioned it.

When I turned one I was able to read and write fluently, the written language basic was different from the english I knew, and gained permission to use the jedi archives where I read. I always loved to read, but there were so many interesting things there, that I stopped reading mostly fiction, like I did in my first life and turned to informative literature.

Of course that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a childhood like in many of those reincarnation fictions coursing around the internet in my old world. I played often and long with all kinds of people, mainly Yoda but also with the other younglings and surprisingly the masters J’zargo and Vrenga the hutt, who was by the way like one big teddy bear, he wasn’t fluffy, but extra soft and squishy and if I wanted fur there was always J’zargo.

How the council members came to play with me?

Well I thought J’zargo felt responsible for me because his whole species was after my head just because I existed, though as far as I knew they didn’t know of my existence yet.

Vrenga just loved to pet me. He was so uncharacteristicly kind and gentle for his race it was kind of funny. He really seemed to like cute things too, whenever I used my patented kitty eyes on him he would do whatever I wanted. He was basically a huge softy.

Oh, the jedi in this era weren’t as stuck up as the ones in the stories on earth, they allowed attachments and anything else a normal person had, a change that was brought with the new jedi order and Luke Skywalker, it’s grandmaster.

As far as I knew, I had been born about 1,200 years after the war with the first order, by the way the female human in the jedi council is known as master Rei, she together with Yoda and Luke rebuild the jedi temple on Coruscant, which obviously hadn’t been destroyed by the superweapon of the first order. I didn’t know how or why those three were still alive.

Because the jedi were allowed to have families I was able to stay in contact with my parents via holo and discovered my family name. It was Drayen. A few years ago the planet Dubrillion had, under the leadership of it’s royal family, the Drayens, and a few other planets, rebelled resulting in the deconstruction and imprisonment of their governments.

My father, Marcus Drayen, had been the first prince at the time and decided to flee, I didn’t know the exact circumstances but the jedi seemed content with him staying on Cathar. My mother meanwhile was pregnant again, normally a child of a human and a cathar belongs completely to one of the races. Being a nekomata was pretty much a very rare genetic mutation.

I spoke with them every evening, telling them how my days were.

The one thing that I loathed about this new life was the absence of music. It wasn’t like there was no music in the galaxy, it was just that the music at that time was only made artificially with syntethizers.

Instruments were rare and as far as I knew nobody played one, if somebody had an instrument it was normally treated as a curious antique. Even singing was rare and if there was sung it wasn’t really beautiful.

That was until one day, while I was exploring the library, I felt a tug on my mind leading me to an empty wall. Closing my eyes I connected with the force, something I was already able to do almost instinctively, thanks to daily meditation, and let myself be guided by it.

I felt my hand move and press on a spot of the wall close to the ground and the wall slid open to reveal a room filled with music.

Music in the sense of just about all musical instruments I knew of and many I didn’t know.

Behind the storage of instruments there was a desk with a stash of lose flimsi (futuristic star wars paper) and beyond that were hundreds of shelves filled with books, booklets, scrolls, disks and any other information storage possible, as well as shelves filled with artifacts from many cultures I knew from earth, like ancient swords and other weapons, pottery and even dvd players, gaming consoles and all kinds of other earth technology. Under the desk was a computer like the ones from my first world with a matching screen sitting atop the desk containing, as I later discovered, a full inventory of every Item in the room and the history behind them.

On the walls were all kinds of art from paintings to wall hangings and everywhere stood sculptures and other forms of art and culture. Everything was in airtight containers with seethrough walls in order to preserve it indefinately.

The flimsistash was the research a jedi master had done hundreds of years ago into the script and notation in this room. He was never able to get it right though. He had still been stuck on the booklet that too lay on the table, written in english titled: The storage of human culture.

The booklet explained to me how the humans orginated from a planet called earth. Earth had become uninhabitable due to pollution and the humans moved to the stars inside something called sleeper ships. Those were spaceships incapable of lightspeed that meant, because of the way to long traveling times, the passengers were put into a kryo-sleep and the ships were commanded by artificial intelligence.

The humans crash landed on Coruscant, as a result their ships were mostly destroyed but miraculously this room wasn’t damaged, but buried under a mountain. Later, when the jedi built their temple on top of a mountain they chanced upon the buried storage and integrated it in the Jedi archives.

The booklet unfortunately didn’t say why there was only a secret entrance to the storage.

That had been about three months ago and now I spent at least 2 hours a day in that room. Right now I couldn’t play any of the instruments, other than the piano, but there was a massive amount of recordings in that room and the necessary equipment to play it. I hadn’t told anyone of the room yet, it was my personal little stayaway, though I always took an old ipod with headphones around to listen to the music.

I spent almost every night at Luna’s place doing all kinds of things with her, she even gave me singing lessons, and we became great friends over the years. I was still in love with her (of course) but she hadn’t answered me yet and I didn’t ask again, I mean I’m only 2 years old, it would be really weird if we did ,adult‘ stuff.

Oh, and I was able to access the gamer system as soon as I could speak, at the moment my status looked like this:

(The following is an explanation of the status, advised to read but not necessarily necessary)

There you have it. My (almost) complete status.

It was to be honest quite monstrous. As far as I knew, the human species was the standard, either that or it was standard for me, because I had been a human in my first life. By standard everone gains 1 point in every statistic per year until they are eighteen, except fort he stat wisdom which grows indefinately, unless you have a mental illness that causes it to stagnate or diminish and the stat flexibility which begins to stagnate and/or diminish at the beginning of puberty.

Luck, charm and balance are independent stats and don’t grow or diminish with age.

That was of course only the standard. There were always variants for body type, intelligence, upbringing and the availability of food during a persons growth.

Why my stats were this monstrous? Simple: A jedi draws his strength from the force. A jedi would always be physically stronger than normal people, due to the passive changes done by the force as it courses through the body and because I began even before birth with force meditation I kind of grew up a lot stronger than normal.

Besides I did train physically and due to limit removal i didn’t have to worry about stunted growth.

Intelligence is another thing altogether. One point intelligence is equal to an IQ of five, meaning my IQ right then was 215. I hadn’t had an even nearly as high IQ in my first life but I wouldn’t complain, though the wisdom didn’t grow that drastically.

Per increased level I got an unbelievable 2 stat points. Luna had after all said the gamer system would mostly be a way for us to observe and brag about our progress and keep track of our skills since we would keep on getting new skills throughout all of our incarnations, not a clutch to gain strength quicker. (the window above isn’t the full window, there schould be mathematics, science, etc., but I didn’t really want to write a list of all skills gathered in a whole life)

The Skilllevels were Beginner, Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Epic, Legendary, Divine and Perfect. Each of them, except perfect, had ten sublevels.

A few things were the result of my wishes before I was reborn, namely the perks perfect health, which was probably the most costly wish, increased talent and increased memory turned photographic memory (I already had a good memory in my first life, which was increased leading to a photographic memory).

(Explanation of status over, if you have questions just comment)

At the moment I was preparing myself for the introduction celebrations of the champions in the champions lobby at Luna’s house.

Luna insisted that the two of us should dress alike so now we stood here in Luna’s bedroom, both clad into silver and light blue party dresses Luna looking me up and down with an approving look in her eyes and turning me around to face the mirror.

„How do you like your dress?“

I looked into the mirror, taking in my 2 year old appearence. I looked even cuter now than I did as a baby, may have been because I denied anyone who wanted to cut my hair, resulting in long and shimmering lightly curled white hair reaching all the way down to my butt, may have been because of the now much bigger cat ears atop my head, may have been the fact that my tail had grown out to full length or the cute face, just now beginning to transform from a babyface to the more mature facade of a child.

Basically my appearance had become really cute now, a fact that was accentuated and enhanced by the beautiful dress Luna herself had handmade for me.

„It’s really pretty, thanks a bunch!!!“

I really had no problem with a dress. I may have lived nineteen years as a guy, but now, since I was a girl I might as well dress like one.

„No problem, tailoring is an art too after all.“ She waved her hand like it was nothing but she had a happy smile on her face, portraying the joy she felt at the compliment.

„I think you look much prettier though.“

A small blush formed on her face at the compliment. Grabbing my hand began to pull me towards the door while saying: „L-Look at the time, we should really get going!!“

„You are one of the 20 most powerful beings in existence, I don’t think you of all people need to be three hours early to a party.“ I whined, I wanted to have her for myself as long as possible, but she refused me: „As one of the leaders of our society I should be a good role model for the people, there are already enough arrogant chracters among the royal gods to create a bad opinion about us among the other deities, I at least want them to see, that there are those of us, who care about them.“

As she said that she began to glow in anger of her arrogant colleges.

„Ahh, Luna, if you emit your power now we’ll have to fix our appearance again!!“

She looked at me and let out a sigh, her glow diminishing to it’s normal level and apologized: „Sorry they just infuriate me is all. They think, just because they where born earlier and have more power they are better than the other deities. He is especially bad.“

I didn’t know who he was. I just knew that Luna hated him since their birth, that he wanted to get into her panties just as long and that he was the worst a****** of all deities (the last two things were totally unrelated in my mind. Really).

I sighed and said: „I had hoped I could delay our meeting with the infamous him.“

She answered giggling: „If we meet him earlier, we will be rid of him earlier. The moment he tries something, existence will bar him from being near me for the next thousand years, it’s a pity that the recent 3,847,923rd barring ended just a month ago. He really doesn’t learn from his mistakes.

Now onwards!!“

And off we were. We didn’t really need the door, she could have teleported us there without a problem, but she liked using the door when she went out. It felt more mundane, more normal to her. Besides teleporting somewhere was a flashy entrance in her opinion and she didn’t like those.

So completely unflashy we went through the door and entered the huge ballroom the party was to be held in. Well the word huge doesn’t do it any justice. It seemed to stretch on forever, a victorian style ballroom with marble floors and walls, gigantic golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, artworks lining the walls.

Thousands of looooooooong tables with an unimaginable amount of delicious looking food stood all around the room and millions of little tables with two to eight chairs around each of them were scattered all around the space, leaving me slackjawed at the mere number of people who would be coming.

And there right in front of us stood a magnificent old man, complete with floorlong white hair and beard, clad into just as white robes, holding a long, also white staff. He looked like Gandalf the White, with longer hair and beard.

The moment Luna saw him, she went down onto one knee, pulling me down with her.

„This one humbly greats the allmighty father Existence“

I was quite surprised. This old man did look like a wizard, not an allmighty god standing above anyone and anything else, hell he didn’t even have an aura of power like Luna had one constantly around her (she couldn’t shut it off, I asked her once).

Existence though just grimaced and walked to us, grabbing both Luna and me by the hand and pulled us back to our feet, before pulling Luna into a tight hug.

„Luna stop it with the bowing, what kind of father would let his children bow to him? Where have you been anyway? I haven’t seen you at all these last two years, even Vritos visited me.“

He let her go and held her at armlength away from him.

„Sorry father I concentrated on observing and helping little Shira here, it is my duty and honor as guardian to help my champion in any way I can, besides we came here extra early in order to see you and talk with you before the party“

„Of course you did.“ He turned to me, „Hello little one, you must be Shira. My children like to call me existence, but the name I gave myself and the name I want you to call me by is Bob.“

And again he surprised me. I did know he had a name, it’s not like everybody would walk around just calling him Existence right? But I had imagined something magnificent and majestic, not a mundane name like Bob.

Hiding my surprise behind a gentle smile, I had been tought the ways of soft and gentle smiles by Luna herself, I curtsied and greeted him: „Hello Bob, my name is Shira Drayen, it is a pleasure to meet you.“

„Whoaa, there’s a mortal who doesn’t try to growel at my feet upon learning my identity? That’s a new one. Say Shira, why aren’t you bowing and praying before me upon seeing the allmighty creator the first time?“

„I imagine getting bowed to and being praised by everyone constantly gets annoying very fast. If I were in your position I wouldn’t want to be treated any different than anyone else.“

„There are few people who understand that at all, even my children insist to treat me like something special, just because I made the multiverse.“

Finally Luna decided to say something again: „Can you blame us father? It was us who witnessed you creating all of existence, can you blame us for praising the one who made such a wonder happen?“

Bob sighed. „I can’t ever blame you, you are my beloved children after all, but look at your champion, she always believed in a higher being that created existence, but the last time she prayed was at age twelve, because …“ He looked at me and I understood that he wanted me to finish his sentence.

„Because if I were a god I wouldn’t want to be constantly bombarded by an endless amount of mortals whining about their little problems, that have absolutely nothing to do with me. We mortals have intelligence and a sense of self for a reason after all. We should be able to make our own decisions and live our own lifes without having to constantly rely on some higher power.“

I heard a quiet sob and looked up to see Bob with tears in his eyes. He picked me up and hugged me close to him all the while declaring: „This is the reason! The reason I created intelligent life! Creatures that are free and independently live their own lifes, all the while making things I never would have thought of on my own!!! Come Shira, let us celebrate the innovative power and creativity of mortals in it’s ultimate form!!“

He declared the last part loudly by pumping his fist in the air. The air before us began to shimmer and something began to form, something I knew all too well.

In front of us was a gaming console wired to a huge TV, with three controllers fit for the current game lying in front of it.

 „MARIO KART!!!!“

----------------------------------------

Phew, finally finished. That damn table took a lot of work.

IMPORTANT

The next chapter could take a while, since it will be a party, I'll have to think of a lot of new characters I wish to introduce, as well as come up with things happening at the party, I mean a normal party would be boring.

If you want to know, why Shira has any or all of these stats and skills or want a detailed explanation for each stat, please write that in the comments.

NOT IMPORTANT

Do any of you know what Mett is? (A completely unrelated question that interests me)

I have the feeling, I wanted to write something else here today, but I totally forgot it.

Whatever, bye

P. S.: I didn't do a last read through the chapter before posting it like I usually do, it's 11:30 pm here and I just wanna go to bed, but I wanted to post this chapter today, so there might be a number of mistakes in there, I would really appreciate it if you could point them out, thanks in advance
