Naoki Ishida, he has super speed. Keiko Arai, she has some kind of teleportation Variant. These two helped everyone get out of the archway while I distracted the majority of the Giants.
I say majority, because not all the Giants fell for my decoy tactics. The Giant at the Archway everyone was exiting had come to his senses and began attacking.
He was being held off by Rika, Aya, Ryo and Hiroshi while everyone else ran ahead. They were beating the feet of the Giant with an assortment of metal tools and shapes along with using their Variants, except Rika's Variant. We were getting extremely close to victory, all that's left is to make sure nobody dies.
That's easier said than done however, as I was the only one left in the massive room. Surrounded by around 5 or 6 Giants, all who want me dead and clobbered, possibly eaten too.
I stopped trying to distract them and bolted for everyone's direction. We may not be able to immobilize the Giants, but because we are way faster than them, we could probably just out-run them if we sped past the archway.
Feet stomped all around me in an attempt to squash and kill me, swerving and ducking, I narrowly evaded death. I am so close, just a little bit further and we can run away from the accursed room.
Just as I close in on the archway, the floor below me begins to darken. Turning to look up, I see only the large wooden spike ready to kill me as it hammers down through the air…
It's going to be me isn't it?
At that moment, my life didn't really flash before my eyes. It was more a realization that I had wasted a lot of time not being happy with myself when I should have.
Falling back, I can only watch my own demise play out. Everything seems so meaningless in that one singular moment. That is, until I survived of course.
I had fallen gracefully into the arms of Keiko Arai, who picked me up and teleported me past the archway and plopped me down on the floor. “Are you alright?” Keiko asked while standing above me, panting from the exertion.
I was breathing heavily and clutching my chest “Yea- Yeah I'm fine. Where are the others? Is everyone safe yet?” I was on the cold stone floor, the archway led through a massive hallway that was just as dimly lit as the previous.
Before Keiko could answer, Rika shouted from the entrance to the hallway. Rika, Aya, Ryo and Hiroshi were bolting in our direction. “RUUN!” The Giant was behind them, some cuts and bruises could be made out from this distance, but the Giant looked more annoyed than pained.
“There's your answer” Keiko turned back to me and reached out her hand, I grabbed it and she pulled me up. We started running away from the room.
Finally, after what felt like forever, we have escaped the Giants. Dragging my legs forward as hard as possible, I begin to laugh a bit as we run, Keiko starts laughing as well. Two crazy highschoolers running away from a Giant while laughing like mad, that's what we looked like I guess.
After what seemed like 10 minutes of just running, we spotted a massive metal door ahead, black and made of metal, the thing looked more like a gate than a door. The door was slightly open, a head was peeking out and signaling for us to come quickly.

I peek behind me while still running, everyone else was still running. The Giants seemed to have grown in number, they looked goofy trying to run at their size without falling over.
Keiko and I bolt past the entrance of the door, and promptly collapse. Everyone else slips past the door and it magically seals shut. I have no clue how a door so large and dense could be opened by people our size and somehow not opened by the Giants.
A loud banging noise came from the door, it continued for a while before stopping. When it did, I passed out from the exhaustion, my adrenaline seemed to have run out by now.
Congratulations Hero! You have survived the Giants Encounter. +6 Exp
Name: Takumi Satou Variation: All The Possibilities Level 1: 6/10 Exp Class: Unawakened
On Level 5, you will be able to select a Class, work hard!
I was awoken by Ryo, who had a big grin on his face, his hair was disheveled but it didn't seem to bother him. "Check it out man, there's a bunch of supplies here. Ms. Minami is making tea for everyone." Sure enough, the guy did have a mug in his hands, although the mug looked different than anything I've seen before. Its design felt like that of another time period, maybe it has to do with the entire dungeon aesthetic.
Ms. Minami looked like a conspiracy theorist, her hair looked roughed and pulled as if she clawed at it out of panic. She had a somber smile on her face as she was making the tea, it was a small metal pot on a makeshift campfire. "Oh, Takumi, have a seat. You have some blood on your face by the way.." She said, her voice seemed hoarse, definitely from the crying and screaming.
There was still some dried blood from my lips to my right ear, must have smudged and smeared across when I tried to wipe it off. I sat down by a wall, and let out a deep sigh. That was when Rika spoke to me.
"You seem dazed, did that screen thing pop up in your sleep as well?" she sat down next to me, a mug in her hands. I really despise talking to people usually, but right now I really need to find out what the hell is going on.
Rika seems to know more then she lets on, but I cant really confront her about it so Ill just siphon information of her whenever I need to.
"yeah, what do you think a 'Class' is?" Rika almost immediately blurted out an answer, then she stopped herself and thought about it, or pretended to think about it. "It reminds me of 'Classes' from games like Dungeons & Dragons, and online RPGs. If that has any correlation."
Again, the inconsistency. The Rika I knew did not know a single thing about RPG's or D&D. So how is it that she's discussing with me about their game elements right now? Honestly I feel weirded out and kinda scared just thinking what happened to the only person in class that I can tolerate talking to.
"I see, yeah that could be it. By the way, what's your Variant?" I got a mug from Ms. Minami, who smiled at me as she gave it to me, I sat back down next to Rika. A grim look on her face, as if she were trying to not tell me anything.
"I think we should be keeping our Variants a secret right now, who knows what might happen?" she laughed a tiny bit. I have to admit, that was pretty smart, but come on.
How am I going to survive in this dungeon if my class rep is acting like a completely different person?
