Walking around the small village was one of my favourite monster of all, the goblin.
Actual goblins are green like the ones shown in fantasy shows and comics but that's where the similarities end, they look closer to deformed terrestrial goblin shark than anything else, their jaw is permanently forced out of their mouth, they have no eyes or ears and they have hundreds of tiny hairs all over their body for echolocation. They also had long claws on their middle fingers that is used for combat, digging and also echolocation.
I looked around with an excited grin as I continued to follow the krot absentmindedly until we stopped at a building that was about 3x the size of the all the others. Stepping in, there was a ton of goblins that sat on chairs around a centre podium, sitting behind the podium was a goblin that was slightly larger than the others.
As I was looking around the krot gestured for me to follow him to the podium. When I stepped onto the podium the wooden bastard snuck up behind me and put a restraint around my legs. The restraint pulled me down to the floor and the krot placed another restraint on my torso.
All I heard a series of small drumming patterns, I looked around and the goblins where all holding small drums. Many hunters had seen them use the drums to communicate during battle, I guess it's just how they communicate normally. Because their blind and deaf they probably use the drums to see without having to bend down to use their claw, as well as using the vibration patterns to communicate.
I looked around and realised, they where bidding, each goblin had small objects with them, probably of sentimental value. I wasn't that afraid of anything sexual happening, I had already check, there's nothing for them to use.
But what I truly fear was the worst, hard labour. When goblin are seen in Tindrifts they often carry spears or primitive farming equipment. They are know as the weakest social monsters since they constantly revealed their position with their drum and are naturally weak monsters, they are just under the pink poison giant ant which are the weakest of the giant ants since [Poison Resistance] and [Poison Immunity] are some of the most common [Skill]s in their natural habitat.
They have an average [Strength] of about 10-13 and [Agility] of about 3, they are on the weaker side but I could probably only take out one at max if I tried to make an escape.
Suddenly the drumming stopped, and an old goblin on the shorter side walked toward the large goblin and presented it with a small book-like object, it was a [Skill]. The large goblin stood up and walked towards the short one, he was almost double his size, he grabbed the book from his hands and it seeped into his skin.
After he was done he walked back to his throne and sat back done, the old goblin was then passed a small pink powder and tablet that looked like it had braille on it.
It walked towards me, placed its thumb on my head and painted a small symbol, it was a Slave Marking. The Slave Marking was a signature sign of goblins, goblins hierarchy worked with the strongest being the leader and then the more slaves you have the higher up the ladder you are. Many humans had tried to preform the Slave Marking but it appeared to need a [Skill], a [Skill] that goblins are born with.
I struggled in pain as I felt the mark graph itself to my head. After the pain stopped I looked up to see the old goblin staring at me with a sense of agony. The large goblin yelled something at him and my restraints where released. I stood up and tried to escape but the mark activated and I was forced to the ground. The old goblin walked passed me and made a beat on his drum, I didn't know what it meant but I started following him almost subconsciously.
--
I was sitting in a barn, the old goblin took me to his house and let me stay in the little barn in the side. He didn't seem to have any slaves other than me so I'm probably the only one he's had in a while, he must of work them to death or something because he being pretty relaxed with me, the only work I did today was grabbing some stuff he couldn't reach.
Honestly becoming a slave wasn't that bad... Well it's bad but not with this guy. Slave Markings have 3 main purposes as found by Beluagists and Appraisers. The first is to create a type of hypnotic suggestion, it is pretty weak and can't make the slave do anything they don't want to do, it just makes the owner seem more agreeable, and since old farmer goblin doesn't speak I'm mostly in the clear for that front. The second is to harm the slave if they ever step out of line but I don't have to worry about that yet. And the final purpose is to share [Skill]s, the Slave Marking creates a direct link between the souls of the slave and owner that lets them share skills at a reduced quality, the owner can use the slaves skills at 50% base quality and the slave can use the owners at 25%, this includes [Species Skill]s and [Inherent Skill]s.
This means that I can use all of the old goblin's skills at 25% quality, which would allow me to get my hands on his [Species Skill]s and properly learn all of my skills using his [Social] skill.
Usually monsters will only drop their regular [Skill]s or a [Unique Skill] if you're super lucky, this means you have absolutely no way of accessing their [Species Skills]s and [Inherent Skill]s but while humans can't use the Slave Marking or have them put on them, other monsters have been seen sharing their [Species Skill]s with a Slave Marking.

I took a look at my stat sheet which was still complete gibberish but now had two extra sections added to it, I still couldn't understand it at all but now since I had a [Skill] that would let me learn language I just had to figure out what letters where shuffled about and I would be able to translate it. I started with my first name since it was the easiest thing to recognise on the blue screen, and afterwards just made why way through with the translated letters.

I woke up to the feeling of a pole slapping me across the face. It was the old goblin and he just threw a hoe at me. I stood up and followed him to his field, I was too weak to carry the hoe and had to drag it across the floor, only problem was my legs are far to big for my body, I had to basically sit on the floor and pull it back.
He forced me to start tending to the fields and left, I assume he just went hunting since I saw a few monster hides in the barn last night while I was translating my stat screen. I had full translated it but I basically forgot everything about it since I was so tired. I looked at the sheet and saw my stats for the first time since my reincarnation.

I sat down next to one of the trees in the dark forest and skimmed through the skills trying to use them. Most of them I couldn't use straight away like [Slave Marker] and [Bow Master] and some had no meaning as far as I could tell.
When I got to [Plant Property Mimicry] I placed my hand on the tree next to me and activated the [Skill], I suddenly got four new [Skill]s from it, [Chloroplast Generation], [Leaf Generation], [Wood Generation] and [Photosynthesis].
None of them other than [Photosynthesis] worked since I had no mana but ironically [Photosynthesis] gave me a small amount of mana to use. I didn't want to waste it on anything that was super obvious about what it did, so I skipped to one of the more mysterious [Skill]s.
I focused on the skill [Hidden Eye], trying my best to activate it I closed my eyes and when I opened them something was off. I looked back at my stat screen to see if anything had changed.
[[Would you like to use [Hidden Eye] on stat sheet? [Y/N]]]
I stared at the message in confusion for a few seconds before clicking the confirm button. After I had answered, the screen was replaced by a list of my skills with full explanations attached to them.

I sat for a bit staring in disbelief, I had an S rank [Skill]. Only three people have ever awakened with an S rank [Skill] and now I was one of them, sure it technically wasn't my awakening that gave me it but since I got it right after it technically counts, right?
[Persuader of Azrael], it sounded like an amazing [Skill] but its limits aren't known, it could easily be super dangerous or completely harmless. Considering the fact that Azrael already made me a semi-existence I doubt he would make me overpowered.
What scared me though was [Skill Link B], the thought that someone might have access to 90% of my [Skill]s scared me. If I had to guess I would say they're probably the first reincarnator.
Stepping back a bit I realised that [Hidden Eye] must of been working as a semi-passive [Skill] since I could already see [Hidden Skill]s before I activated it. As if on cue I ran out of mana again and the [Skill] deactivated itself.
The window of information soon followed suit, being replace with a small window with a little proposition for her.
[[You have two identical skills, would you like to fuse [Memorise] into one skill? [Y/N]]]
As quick as I saw it I instantly pressed yes. Many hunters had reported this screen appearing when they pick up a duplicate [Skill]. Whenever a [Skill] was fused to itself its quality doubled, it would still not be as good as a skill in a higher rank.
A small loading bar appeared and slowly filled itself to the brim. When it was complete I looked back at my stat screen to see the new and improved skill [Memorise ii].
Standing up I walked back over to the small farm to finish before the goblin got back. I smacked the hoe against the ground as I wondered how the goblins where so tanned when they lived in a super misty forest.
