I opened my eyes to see trees towering over me, I sat up only to notice that I'm surrounded by a thick fog.
"So this is what being isekai'd feels like" I said to myself as I stood up only to lose my balance and fall into one of the tree. I leaned against the tree as I tried my best to keep my balance.
"Woah that's disorienting" I said as I stood to what I assumed was about 9 feet tall. I looked down to see that my legs where completely made of wood and all my joint where replace with ones from a wooden doll. I started to freak out as I stared at the three pronged feet at the bottom of my legs.
I looked at the rest of my body and it looked relatively the same minus the fact that my black hair had switched to a mix of white and pink.
"Ok. This is fine, even if I'm a monster I'm still kind of human so I can still save this" I said starting to get my balance back that I lost after the height change.
"System" I said making sure all my hard work wasn't flushed down the drain. My stat screen popped up but something was wrong with it.

"Got dammit, not only am I weak but I've also got a bugged system" I moaned into my hands "Actually now that I look at it I can still tell where my stats are, my [Strength] is 5 and my [Agility] is 6 which is... Still at the bottom of F rank" I fell into the floor in a heap of... well honestly just disappointment,
"... Wait a minute, I'm immortal, I have plenty of time to get to D rank and become Beluagist... Also while I'm at it I should probably replace these 7 and a half foot legs" I said to myself ready to make a mental plan.
"First I should find a way to understand my stat sheet, since letters still double up in my name I doubt it's broken, I probably just lost the [Skill] that let me understand English" I walked through the forest hoping to find an exit "I'll either have to find a creature with a language [Skill] or an [Item] that has a translator function.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Most monsters with social skill are usually on the stronger side since they either hunt in groups or use their skill to trick intelligent creature and since I only have 5 [Strength] and I still can't run in my new body, my odds aren't that good on that front. My best bet for this root would be a human alternative existing in this universe, they could of created such powerful weapons that no longer see the need to sharpen their physical abilities but even then there's complications. In this universe things could completely run on magic in which case I'm screwed since my [Mana] is zero and therefore my magical defence is zero by proxy, also I'm like 9 feet tall so stealthing my way over isn't the best idea. Plus even if I managed to pull any of it off they would still need to have a Multilanguage skill or a translation skill.
Other than that I could find an [Item] with a translation effect. After going through the long and tedious process of finding one I would have to take one of two options, either I find a way to store it and live the rest of with the inconvenience of walking about with a magic dictionary or binoculars that give people subtitles when they talk, Ooooooor I can find a Skill Splitter.
A Skill Splitter is an man-made [Item] that allows the user to remove a [Skill]s from an [Item] with a 50% decrease in quality. [Skill]s unlike [Item]s and and [Awakening Core]s have an expiry date, they share this trait with monster drops with the only difference being that monster drops last about 13 days but skill will only last about 37 hours without a host. Because of this when [Skill]s first appeared raw [Skill] books where about £300-500 for a D or C rank skill but then someone found out that you could fuse [Skill]s to [Item]s which stopped it from expiring and fusing them didn't even take a [Skill]. Due to this the price of [Skill] books increased drastically with them being about 100x more expensive at the peak of the [Item] trades, meanwhile the supply and demand for "Magic items" cause their price to increase to to upward or one or two thousand pound each.
This caused hunting to become pretty exclusive for a while until a woman by the name Isabella Martin-Wood created the Skill Splitter. Isabella was an E rank hunter that was losing huge amount of money because of the amount of magic items she had to carry at the same time, so she and her Dad messed around in her garage until she came up with the for a magic vacuum that could bring [Item]s towards you so you didn't have to expose yourself to attack while collecting loot. After a while of testing she realised that if left on long enough, [Skill]s would be sucked out of the item and into the vacuum where it began to slowly expire.
Because of this magical items started to fall out of favour and are now mostly used as a transportation method. After all the prices dropped again a 50% quality D or C rank [Skill] was worth about £2000-4000 where a full quality one sat at about £10000-15000. This accompanied with the average selling price for a [Awakening Core] being about £2000 and it was no wonder why most people just saw hunting as an expensive hobby.
Overall a Skill Splitter was probably the better way to go but it was better to focus on the translator [Item] for now. I walked about the forest with nothing really changing but suddenly I felt my face slap against something. When I pushed my arms out I noticed that I was lying on the floor, I looked back and noticed the one thing I hated most "Oh god, of all things why did it have to be one of you?" I said feeling my soul rot with every second I looked at it.
I had tripped over a Krot, horrible wooden bastards that should be burned at the stake the second they're born. The Krot are by far one of the weakest monsters ever seen in a Tindrift with 1s across their enter stat sheet. They are small, only about 1 to 2 feet tall and they are completely made of solid oak wood as appose to me since I look to be made of a really dark cedar wood. They have no organs, bones or muscles and they don't even have any social [Skill]s either, they are a complete waste of any Beluagist's time.
"What the hell are you doing? Krot usually never approach anything bigger than it" I made no attempt to hide my absolute distain for it, yet it continued to stare straight through me with those solid black holes that mimicked eyes.
"Hello?" I said more confused as anything else as I managed to lift myself back into a standing position. The second I stood up it backed away a few feet and signalled for me to follow it. "Strange, how is it able to use gestures to communicate" I said out loud as I decided to follow it.
Usually Krot fell under the category of species that have no social ability, most monsters have their social [Skill]s in their species section. The way it was discovered was by someone with the skill [Appraisal] using it on a few beaten up Krot. I trotted along behind the small creature and hoped that he would bring me to his base where I could hopefully gain a language ability from one of the Krot.
We walked for a while in silence until we came across a small village, in the village where several Krot wandering about but what surprised me most was that there was another species in the village, one of my favourites actually. They are blind, have green skin and they have set of teeth that sat outside of their mouth in a cone shape.
Wandering about the village was the classic monster, the...
