Outside Yan Manor:
Early in the morning, the sun began to rise, casting a warm glow over the serene landscape. Yan Sen, accompanied by his two friends, Li Wei and Mei Lin, rode on horseback with Lao Chun and two other servants. Their destination was the foot of the mountain just outside Faybrook City, where they intended to collect the herbs and wild weeds needed for the elixir that aids in skin tempering cultivation.
As they approached the city guards stationed at the outskirts of the city, Yan Sen calmly explained their purpose. The guards recognized the young heir and his companions and decided not to make any trouble for them. Yan Sen couldn't help but ask about the progress of finding Sophia Tang, to which the guards sadly replied that there were no news yet.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, they dismounted their horses and began collecting the herbs and weeds they needed. Yan Sen's keen senses and the guidance of the Time Sovereign led him to a certain direction deeper into the mountain. Lao Chun, the loyal servant, grew concerned and warned Yan Sen about the dangers that lurked in the depths of the forest.
"Uncle Chun, don't worry," Yan Sen reassured him with a mischievous grin. "I'm not going too deep. Besides, you're with me, and you're powerful enough to protect us from any danger. I promise to run away if anything happens."
Lao Chun reluctantly consented, unable to refuse his young master's request. "Alright, but promise me you'll follow my command without question when there is danger."
"I promise!" Yan Sen exclaimed, already making his way towards the mysterious direction indicated by the Time Sovereign. The two of them ventured further into the forest, while Li Wei, Mei Lin, and the servants waited at the foot of the mountain.
The Time Sovereign continued to communicate with Yan Sen, guiding him to a large tree with a hollow opening at its base. Yan Sen crouched down to inspect the tree and noticed a vibrant, fragrant plant emitting a dim light inside the hollow.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"Qiwood Blossom!" the Time Sovereign exclaimed. "It's a spirit plant that releases Qi and harnesses natural energy. It's great aid in cultivation. Quick, get it and plant it inside the Chrono Orb."
"Plant it inside the Chrono Orb?" Yan Sen was taken aback. "But how?"
The Time Sovereign explained, "When I and my friend, the Space Sovereign, obtained the Chrono Orb, it couldn't store things. But the Space Sovereign, a skilled artificer, improved it to store both living and non-living objects. The Chrono Orb requires energy to use its time abilities. This Qiwood Blossom can help sustain the energy needed and even expand the space inside the orb. In the future, you can even store your clan inside it when you're stronger enough to supply the amount of Qi needed."
Astounded, Yan Sen asked, "Is this plant from a higher realm, how did you know it’s name?"
The Time Sovereign chuckled, "No, but I'll tell you the story another time. For now, think of the Chrono Orb as an extension of your hand. Use your Qi to pull the plant inside, and I will plant it myself."
Following the Time Sovereign's guidance, Yan Sen successfully stored the Qiwood Blossom inside the Chrono Orb. As he stepped out of the hollow tree, Lao Chun inquired about what he had found.
"What did you get inside?" Lao Chun asked with curiosity.
Yan Sen's eyes twinkled with mischief, "Oh, nothing much. I just went there to pee and wanted some privacy, so I asked you to accompany me. Hahaha!"
Lao Chun was flabbergasted by his young master's antics. He scratched his head, wondering what other surprises Yan Sen had in store as he grew older.
With the precious Qiwood Blossom safely stored in the Chrono Orb, the group made their way back to Yan Manor. As they journeyed home, Yan Sen and his friends laughed, sharing jokes and tales of their adventures.
