Hi everyone.

Wanted to leave a small note because I'm putting this story on hiatus for a few weeks, maybe a month. I'm struggling to write it properly and with the care it deserves. Having finished the draft of the first book, I know the pacing isn't up to par and the way I'm writing the Order isn't coming across how I'd like it.

Let me make this very clear: I am not dropping the story.

I need a little time to look at it from a distance and decide if the way I've plotted it still fits with how the characters have developed as I'm writing. It's a bit of a struggle to write a slow-burn story on Royal Road to begin with, and I'm having trouble balancing the character parts I love with the necessary worldbuilding and monsters, which are more of a struggle for me as an author. I know I'm probably going to lose some of my followers with a break, but it's more important to me not to lose the heart of the story as I'm writing it.
