I look at Freya and I rub the bridge of my nose. ‘I don’t know if I want to thank you or hit you.’ On one hand her group was the least injured out of everyone and she spotted the herd of reindeer with the Snow Hunter. But that personality of hers made her team dislike her. I gave her a hard look that she ignored completely.
”Thank you, Freya, for the report.”
“How much I hate to say this, but we need to deal with the reindeer.” One of the new group leaders says. He was the only other person with Hunter class other than Alex.
”I agree with Serrier, with a Snow Hunter leading them they will become more aggressive and will be too much for are small hunting parties.” Alex said with the flick of his ear.
“That’s great to hear. I was hoping to get into a fight with the thing and you humans can help as well.” Freya said with way too much excitement for my taste.
"He has a name Freya." The elf hunter said. "And there are too many humans for that to even work."
I really didn't care if she called me human, but the hunter was right they are too many humans for that form of talk.
"He's right." Alex chipped in.
As we all looked at her face turning into scowl. She looked like she was going to say something but after a second of nothing I turned to Serrier.
"Do you have any idea how best to deal with the herd?"
"Well, after the present level ups I think we have the right skills and spells that we could win. But with the Snow Hunter it will kill at least some of us before taking it down."
"I see. Alex, have the leather workers finished making the armour yet?"
"Sort of. It's not great without the right tools but at least we are getting some cold resistance from it."
I nodded at that even if the crafters didn't have the right tools. The bounce from the equipment might be small but every little helps but that did give me an idea. As I turned to Freya with a smile that made her scrawl turn to a concerned look.
"Freya, you wanted to fight the Snow Hunter, right?"
"Yeeesss. What are you planning?" I smiled.
"Good and Alex, can you ask the leather workers to make Frost Thumper fur cloaks."
"I can but wh... I think that might work but that still not a great idea and still might fail." He said with a thoughtful look.
"Okay, what are you two talking about!?" Freya shouted at us.
"I think what they are talking about is to use the Frost Thumper fur to hide in the snow and lure the Snow Hunter away. Am I right?" Serrier replied to Freya.
"You are."
"And how does that fur hide us? It's white, but I doubt a Snow Hunter wouldn't have any problem seeing through it." It was a reasonable question.
"I would agree with you only that I know Frost Thumper fur looks like snow when mana goes through it."
"And how do you know that I thought you were a farmer not some monster hunter." She said with some irritation.
"That is true but we have been hunting monsters and well doing that my group got ambushed by one. Luckily no one died but what I found out is that when mana moves through it, it's impossible to tell the difference between snow and the fur." I said with a smile that only seemed to make her more angry.
"Okey but I can't use mana, so how am I going to be part of the ambush?"
"Well Freya we need bait to draw it away from the rest of the herd."
After that we started on the plan to kill the reindeer herd and for the first time I met Freya she looked a bit concerned. 'I guess it's a first time of anything.'

Serrier
'I knew this was the best plan we had but still if anything goes wrong a lot of us are going to die.' As I look at the group I was with. There were 15 of us and Freya all making their way to wear the herd was lasted seen. The plan was simple in idea it's where Freya would attack the Snow Hunter and try to lure it to Adalric group where they will try and keep it where and kill it or wait for us to come and help kill. Well my group will try and kill the herd.
"This is a stupid plan." I looked over to Freya in her new Frost Thumper cloak.
"You don't like it because you are the bait." I replied to her knowing that we have talked about this more than once since leaving.
"Exactly why can't Adalric do it he has dash I don't."
"We talked about it already. You are the only one who can take at least one hit and keep running fast enough to get to the other group." She didn't look happy but it's just nerves probably. I remember my first proper hunt.
The reason we needed someone to be hit by the Snow Hunter was because the beast kin said it had some type of skill that would make it chase its target. That beast kin has too many secrets first with all the knowledge he has on monsters then the wired skills he has. But at the moment I had to for now.

"Sir I can see them." One of the men that got given the rogue class. I think he picked a perception skill for his level one skill.
As I looked to where he was pointing I wanted to curse the gods. This was one of the worst places to be but not so bad to stop the plan. The reindeer were in a patch of large rocks that boxed them in a bit but that did make leading the Snow Hunter away from the rest. As I turn my head to Freya to see what she would do because if the show thought she couldn't then we would have to give this plan up.
"I think I can do this but you lost will need to draw it out of there before I can." That was more thought out than I was expecting her to say. I guess I shouldn't judge a tree by its bark.
"We can do that but this does change the plan Freya."
"Fuck the plan we need to kill the Snow Hunter before it marks this place for its self." Ah yes if it marks the place then a new snow storm will start and it will start to hunt everything that isn't in its herd.
"Fine then and get ready." As I look over my group. "Everyone get ready we need to draw out the Snow Hunter do not get hit by it at all or I will make you clean the guts out of even monsters we hunter in here!" I shouted at them.
We started moving to the herd and when we got close enough, me, two rangers and a mage got ready. When everyone was in position and Freya was at the front we launched are attacks at the herd. As the attacks landed a massive snow shield appeared and blocked are attacks. Then with a roar like a blizzard the herd charged us but the biggest problem was that the Snow Hunter was staying at the back looking over its herd like a king over his army.
But Freya didn't seem to want the Snow Hunter to think it's king as she let out a roar of her own and charged the stampede with her large axe in hand. "Where we go I fought because she was being too careful." As she cuts one of the legs of the reindeer.
"Shields and spears braces for the charge range fighters be ready to fire and the rest of you flank." I shouted over the noise.
As the wave of antlers, hooves and fur slammed into the first of the group I saw a few fall but the others were able to push back the reindeer and get them back up but it didn't look good as the Snow Hunter was using some skill or perk to protect the herd. The only person doing any damage was Freya but the Snow Hunter seemed fine to wait.
"Damn it." If it didn't come out this would turn into a massacre for us.
Trying to think of a way to draw the Snow Hunter out an idea came to me but it was so stupid that it may still kill us all. 'But nothing but hope anything goes.' As I ran to one of the downed reindeer.
"Please all of the elven gods make this work." As I started cutting off the head of the reindeer.
As I removed the head of the deer I could hear the cries and screams of the injured as I lifted the severed head and using my Hunter skill animal call and as loud as I could I made a changeling roar at the Snow Hunter and its head turns.

Freya
I don't know what Serrier did but that stuck up pick of an oversized deer started charging its way at us. 'Now for the painful part.' As I cut the head off another reindeer and jumped into the way of its charge. As I moved into its path the Snow Hunter already had its head down in its charge at me. Even with my rage active and the fact that I hated every bit of this sent my stats high but when it hit me I wanted to scream bloody murder and I wanted to kill my self.
From the hit I could feel ice running up my body as well as my flesh dying but with a grit of my teeth and the rage at that thing even dare hit! But I had to follow the fucking damn orders from the god sucking dick bag. I let out a roar of fury as I graded the still warm body of one of the deer and tossed it at the Snow Hunter. As I looked into its eye I didn't know who was angrier to me or the Snow Hunter.
"Come and get some ice dick!" I shouted at the thing.
Its eyes narrowed as I could see a massive guest of air come out of its nose and started charging at me. At least the beast kin was right, it would chase me. With a mountainous amount of willpower I ran away from it. I hated the fact I needed to run as every part of my body wanted to fight it but I kept running to the trap.
As I ran I could swear that the thing was getting fast! The bloody beast kin didn't say anything about that I am going kill him after this.
My lungs started to burn as I ran close to the trapped locals as the Snow Hunter was right on my heels. I could feel it's breath on the back of my neck just as I couldn't run anymore I heard the shout.
"Now!"
As rope from one of the supply bags became taught in front of the Snow Hunter. At first I thought that it would trip but that would have been too hopeful as the people holding it got sent flying. At least it slows them down. As I turned to face down the creature that forced me to run .
"Time to die you stone sucking statue!" As I swung my axe at it.

Adalric
Freya took much longer than we planned but as I saw her running from the Snow Hunter it lifted my spirits a bit until the rope failed to stop the Snow Hunter fully and then Freya, clearly out of breath, turned around and attacked it. That's when the plan started going wrong. Alex was meant to shoot the Snow Hunter in the eye when we felled it but as the arrow was loose and hit from Freya knocked it's head out of the way turning the deathly shoot into a complete miss.
"What the hell Freya!" As even her attack was deflected by a snowy shield.
"Fuck you and you this thing made me RUN!" She screamed at the thing and me.
As she let loose more strikes that got stronger by each hit. It also most broke the snow shield before it turned and kicked her, sending her flying into a tree and one of the branches implying her arm. As the Snow Hunter was about to charge her again I used Dash to slash it's side only leaving a fin cut on it side but it was enough to bring it's attention onto me.
As I moved back just barely dodging one of its antlers Alex shot another arrow and one of the spear wielders stabbed at its side. But its skin was tough and we were hardly hurting it but I guess we will have to play the waiting game.
As me, the spear user and a mage kept the Snow Hunter on us. As Alex the definitely not healer stated patching up Freya. But as the fight went on and no back up coming the fight started to be harder to stay alive.
The first one to be taken out was the spear user as he was sent flying away from the Snow Hunter. Then the mage was kicked into a rock and hit his head knocking him out. As that little bit of distraction it was able to kick me in the arm. I could feel the bone break and my arm go dead. Barely able to keep standing, the Snow Hunter looked down at me. It was hardly injured.
"At least your herd is dead." I said to it as its eyes narrowed.
But before it made its finishing blow an arrow flew into its eye. It let out a roar of rage as its head turned to Alex but as it was about to charge at Alex I heard the breaking of wood and a shout of anger as Freya fell from above and slammed her axe into its neck. For just a second nothing happened as my heart snack before it raised into the sky as the axe when right thought its neck cleanly cutting though.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Freya screamed before passing out.
'I hope this doesn't keep happening.' As one last notification popped up before I also passed out.
