Chapter 3 - As the Curtain Rises

The scene was so stunning and unthinkable that the crowd around the duo took a moment to realize what was happening. But once reality kicked in, mayhem ensued.

The people around started to panic, they rushed over each other, screaming and doing everything in their power to get away from the cute little fairy. But the fairy had other plans.

[Stop.] The tone was calm, unnaturally calm, but to those hearing it, the voice felt as if it came from deep inside them as if their greatest nightmare was whispering in their ears. Most of them didn't dare to make a move after that word, their bodies were screaming at them to stop.

For those who didn't stop, their end, just like the woman's, was fast. A simple hole appeared behind their heads, and their bodies fell to the ground. It was unknown what happened, but one thing was certain not a single person who fled made it out alive.

In the library the scene wasn't so different, the chaos had spread. The quiet atmosphere was long gone, and the children were yelling their lungs out, their parents consumed by confusion and fear weren't in shape to keep them in control anymore.

But at that one single word from the fairy. It was as if an order was made, and every single person had to follow. Noah was no different, but his mind was on something else.

The scene that was happening, he had seen it. Every single thing that had happened till now was engraved in his mind, after all, it was the start of the most entertaining book he had ever read.

The fairy descended, the explanation was provided, the interruption occurred, and the massacre unfolded.

Everything was written in the book, though he couldn’t recall the names of the woman and her child mentioned within the pages. But if he had to guess, he would say they were the same. He struggled to find a reason for everything that was happening, but the strangest part was that he was smiling.

That was when the fairy spoke again through the live stream.

The movements of her mouth didn't match the words she spoke, leading Noah to conclude that her words were somehow being translated.
