Whoosh~~

Cold breeze kept coming inside the cave where Peter was in while he was meditating. The breeze around him, however, were in slight chaos since he was absorbing the green energy.

"What should I do now…."

Peter thought deeply about how the only training he knew was kicking, throwing, and the widespread cultivation method of absorbing life energy. The next thing, or rather, animal, he thought of that could maybe assist him is the Bushy-tailed monster, which is very stupid for him since the squirrel always looked so small and weak despite having many tricks under its sleeves.

"However…."

Peter glanced at the squirrel and saw that it was sleeping so peacefully and lazily as it lays on its back after being full from consuming acorns.

Burp~~~!

His mouth twitched, but considering the magical things that it can do, maybe there's a chance that it can help him.

'Let me try... Just in case....'

"Hey!! Bushy-tailed monster!!!!"

Snore~~~~

"Come to think of it....."

Peter pondered on the things that he should've thought way way earlier back when they first met.

'Is it a girl or a boy?....'

He slowly grabbed Squishy-tailed monster and was about to check its forbidden zone when...

"Kyaaaa!!!!!!"

The air around Peter moved faster and faster in such a short amount of time within a second and suddenly threw him off to the wall behind him.

"Ack!!!"

With blood and bruises all over his whole body, he was scared sh*tless since he still can't comprehend that that much power can come from a tiny being.

Almost immediately, he lost his consciousness, not knowing that his whole cave was a mess.

Meanwhile, the dumbfounded Squishy-tailed monster finally calmed down and stared at Peter in a calculative manner as if it was deciding if today should be his final day alive.

It shook its head, and used its power to arrange back the place the way it was used to be.

It healed Peter instantly, which would have shocked Peter since the squirrel usually takes a couple of minutes to heal him completely.

It levitated Peter back to the bed and started sweeping the place.

6 years ago.

"Hey! I know you're in charge of this city, but shouldn't you ask for his family's permission before exiling him?!!!!"

Peter's father stared angrily at Yunyun's father when they were in the process of exiling Peter.

Peter's father flinched at the latter's angry gaze but still stared indignantly at him.

Yunyun's father sighed in reply and said,

"Don't worry, I'm just teaching him a lesson, I'll bring him back in 10 years. I hate myself for saying this, but he's still a father to my granddaughter."

Peter's father clenched his fists in anger but still gave up since his strength is way lower than Yunyun's father. Not just anyone can become the mayor of a city in this dangerous world.

Peter was dying and unconscious at that time, about to be exiled, so naturally he wasn't able to hear their conversation about him.

"Urgh..."

Peter's consciousness was slowly coming back, and the first thing he heard was the sound of a squirrel squeaking carefreely and the sound of sweeping.

"What happened...? I think I heard a girl's scream and I lost consciousness....?"

He stared suspiciously at his squirrel friend, thinking that maybe it or maybe 'she' was the one who screamed, he naturally knew that it was the one who threw him away, but that girly voice felt like an illusion to him....

"Hey bushy-tailed monster.... Are you a gi-?"

"Squeak Squeak!!!!"

The squirrel, who was sweating buckets waved its hands and pointed at a small booklet that's by the side of his praying mat.

"Wha- wait, what's this....?"

He was about to pursue the subject but his interest was piqued by the title of the booklet.

"Advancing to Superhuman"

"What a bold name... Wait, is this what I think it is....?"

He read the introduction, and just as he guessed, it really was the next level after being a mortal.

He continued to read the introduction and saw that there were two paths to choose to become a superhuman.

It was either through the 'soul', or the 'body'.

The path of the body was easier to understand. The user will have every cell of his undergo transformation using life energy. There are factors that affect the improvement of each person though. Such as bloodline, talent, and lastly, willpower.

Different kinds of bloodlines will have different effects to the body, though it's unheard of someone relying on their bloodline to dominate everyone in 'this' world. At most, their powers would multiply a few times, and nothing more.

Talent, on the other hand, seems to be the most important for everyone here. Higher talent would be cherished more, while the ones with the lower talent will be put aside and will not be that important.

Lastly is willpower, an almost intangible force that affects how much can someone train and how it affects them in almost every part of their lives.

And conveniently, there's a crystal ball beside the booklet which can determine someone's talent.

His mouth twitched and suspiciously looked at Bushy-tailed monster and saw that it was glancing at him from time to time while sweeping.

He helplessly shook his head and placed his palm on the crystal ball. A few seconds passed by as it was glowing in different colors and finally....

"AVERAGE!!"

Peter was dumbfounded as he didn't expect that it will show his talent by shouting it out so loud that it shook the cave slightly.

If others were here, he would be blushing furiously and embarassingly, knowing that his talent is only average.

"Average, huh...."

Sigh--

The Bushy-tailed monster also sighed with him as it patted his back, as if it was consoling him, and nodding repeatedly like a wise old man as if it was saying that it's okay to be stupid.

"You!!!!- Sigh~"

After a few minutes of the squirrel consoling and Peter being depressed about his life, he continued reading the booklet.

As for bloodline, the booklet doesn't indicate any ways on how to know what his bloodline is. And for willpower, it only said that willpower can be strong or weak on different times, depending on how the person strongly felt about what he/she is doing.

"Huh, I still can't comprehend this bloodline and willpower, thingy...."

"Nevermind, what about the path of the soul?"
