My decision

"Glang," I heard a noise and slowly opened my eyes, feeling dizzy and drowsy.

"AGH," I groaned, my entire body aching as I looked around the room. I was sitting on a chair in the middle of a broken-down room, and I could feel eyes gazing at me. Footsteps approached from behind, and a figure appeared before me.

"So, this was your choice, huh?" I said, recognizing the three men who had almost killed me before. They had brought some new friends.

"So, this is the brat that caught your asses, huh? How embarrassing," said a man who emerged from the shadows. He had a cigarette in his mouth and looked to be in his late 40s. He seemed like a drug dealer or, more precisely, a drug lord. Not the kind that makes you high, but the kind that smuggles Frey, a drug that temporarily gives people abilities. I recognized one guy from the three, which meant the others might be the Rhino Man and the Buffalo Man from before.

"Sir, he's not normal. I'm even surprised we caught him," said the guy with wind abilities from before. I looked at my arms and saw they had tied me up.

"Well, brat, you impress me, but you kinda messed with the wrong people," the old man said as he blew out some smoke, then narrowed his eyes, which began to glow.

"So he's a chosen?" I thought. From what I could tell, he was leagues higher than the other two from days ago. "Is he a natural-born or just a fake?" I pondered as I stared back at them.

"Well, sorry kid, but I'm gonna leave you in these boys' hands. I had to request them out, and it seems like the first thing they wanted was revenge," he said as he walked away.

"Ahhh, before I go, you said there was a girl, right? Did you find her?" he asked his boys.

"No, the bigger one," replied one of them.

"Ahhh, well, it doesn't matter anyway since one witness will amount to nothing," he said as he continued to walk out of the abandoned building.

"Well, the boss is generous," the wind guy said. "Hey kid, you remember us? We're the guys you embarrassed days ago," he added, tapping the backs of his two friends.

"Please, let me go. I'm sorry," I pleaded, trying to show vulnerability.

"Buhahaha, this brat is acting all vulnerable now. Do you remember what you did days ago? You changed for some reason and ended up fucking us up. However, that shit ain't gonna happen again," the man said as he took out a weird pill.

"First, we're gonna break those fucking legs that make you jumpy, then break those fucking fingers that beat us up. You're lucky we had the weaker shit, but now the dosage and effect are higher, so we're gonna fuck you up," he said as all of them took out some red pill and smiled, their faces wrinkling up with extreme pride.

"We are gonna have a rematch, and you're gonna die today," they said in unison as they swallowed the pills. A heavy silence followed as all of them suddenly went blank. I watched them, bracing myself for what was to come.

"Ahhhhhh!" one of them began to scream, and I saw the others behaving the same way.

"Fucking hell, what's wrong with these guys?" I muttered to myself as I struggled to free my hands from the restraints.

I couldn't get free, even though I am a chosen. This means the shit they tied me with is made up of that material. I don't know the name of it, but I know it's incredibly strong—stronger than even the strongest metal and nearly impossible to break, even for someone like me.

Suddenly, the men calmed down and began to laugh. Two of them started to release smoke and steam as their bodies began to change. Their skin became scaled and thicker, and they grew horns that darkened, supposedly becoming as hard as steel.

And then…

"Ahahaha, so this is its effect. It sure is powerful," the Buffalo Man said, looking around. He had grown significantly larger than when I met him before. He seemed to be twice as tall.

"Yes, I agree. It sure is effective, as the boss said," the Rhino Man added.

"Ahhhh, let me test something," the wind guy said, stretching out his arm toward me.

"Let-me-test-this-out-on-you!" he said as wind swirled around his arm. Everything in the room began to elevate, except for the Rhino and Buffalo Men, maybe because of their weight.

"Fuck, I can feel myself floating. What the hell did they take that made them this strong?" I thought, staring at them with a dumbfounded expression. I couldn't hide my surprise—my mouth was even open.

"Fly, little one, and die in peace," the wind guy said as he blew me away, aiming for a massive pile of sharp steel rubble. I looked towards the rubble, and it seemed that the attack was unavoidable.

I hit the rubble, feeling the steel blades penetrate my skin slowly. I could feel my bones being pierced, every vein in my body being sliced, and every nerve reacting to the pain.

"Ahhh, come on, you killed him with that?" the Buffalo Man said, walking towards my body. I had closed my eyes, listening to them but deciding to do nothing.

"Well, the brat was strong, but he wasn't that much of a problem," the Rhino Man said as he approached, grabbed me by my collar, and lifted me up.

Looking at me, he said, "I can't believe this is the same brat who gave us so much trouble that time."

"Ahaha, well, I can't complain since he's a pureblood, but now we are the same. We are both purebloods now, and we are better. He is weaker," the Rhino Man said, dropping me.

I fell to the ground, my entire body screaming in pain. But I wanted them to think I was dead, so I intentionally stopped my heartbeat. Retaliating now would only bring more problems in the future. I needed to find the best way to escape this without them ever looking for me again.

The best way was for them to dump me somewhere and presume I was dead.

"Ahhh, so the kid is dead. The only person left is the girl," the wind guy said as he walked toward me, his monstrous friends in tow.

"Yeah, if we leave her, she might link his death to us, and this will cause problems for the boss. The boss only allowed us to take revenge because he said there was a leak, and that girl knew about it," the buffalo guy replied.

"LEAK?" I thought. What's that all about all of a sudden?

"Yeah, if we want to be safe, we just have to kill the girl too and her family," the rhino guy suggested.

"Sounds good," the wind guy said as he walked over and grabbed my collar, lifting me up.

"Also, let's-kill-this-brat's-family-just to ensure our-" he said, but I cut him off with a kick to his face. I immediately began pumping blood into my heart.

"What the fuck? He's alive?" the wind guy said, shocked.

My body began to heal all my injuries in about 0.0003 seconds, thanks to my electric charge, a similar ability to charging that increases my recovery speed by a hundredfold.

"Fuck, this brat! Dieeeeeeeeeee!" the buffalo man shouted as he thrust his fist toward me. Just as it was about to hit, I did a front flip, narrowly avoiding his punch as it destroyed the area where I had been standing. I landed on his arm and kicked his face with my right leg. His head snapped upward, but he quickly looked back at me and threw another punch with his left hand. I dodged it by jumping, but as I was in the air, a massive wave of wind hit me, blowing me away. I flew through the air and saw a horn approaching—it was the rhino guy. I grabbed his head and flipped eight times in the air, using the momentum to absorb the impact.

"Fuck, this kid!" the rhino man said as he slid, preparing to attack again.

I charged up my fists and legs, and then my whole body's muscles and nerves. I leaned in and vanished from their sight.

"Cover me! He's aiming fo-" the buffalo man started to say, but I cut him off by punching him in the face with all the charged energy I had.

The buffalo man flew back and broke through the building's door. The wind guy looked at his friend, and I took that opportunity to go for the rhino man.

I charged up my fists and legs and then kicked him straight in the face. The force wasn't great enough, so I redistributed my energy to my right arm to deliver one explosive punch.

My punch landed on his diaphragm, and he coughed up blood.

I paused, then looked back at the wind guy. He took a few steps back, fear evident in his eyes.

"You're afraid now? You were so confident a minute ago. Now look at you," I said as I leaned in and punched him straight in the gut.

He coughed up blood and fell to the ground. Being the weakest in physical strength, it didn't require much energy to take him down.

I grabbed both his buddies and threw them in front of him. He looked at them as they struggled to stand up.

"Ahh, w-we're sorry," the wind guy said, starting to bow. His friends began to echo the same sentiment.

I looked at them, narrowed my eyes, and squinted, then smiled at them with a bright face.

"Of course, I forgive you," I said.

"That's what you thought I'd say, right, fuckers?" I said, my eyes widening as my heart began to throb faster. My whole body was electrified, and my veins pulsed visibly. I raised my left hand.

"Do you know what happens when someone messes with a gang's family or even mentions hurting them?" I asked.

They paused and replied with a simple, stuttering "no."

"Stop lying," I said, smiling again. "Okay, maybe let's say you don't know. I'll show you what they do," I said as I walked toward the buffalo guy. I got him on his knees and smiled at him as he hesitated to smile back at me.

"You simply just—" I said, stopping halfway as I cut off his big head. Blood gushed onto their faces.

"Ahhhh," the rhino guy began to scream, and I grabbed his throat and ripped it off to stop him from talking.

The wind guy began to shake in fear. "This is what they'll do. Isn't it just too brutal?" I said.

He began to scream, "haa-haaa-ahhhh—"

—SPLAT!

Minutes later, I exited the factory, with blood all over my school clothes.

"Well, I think the mistake I made before has been resolved. The only thing left is to kill that old man," I thought. "No one has the right to harm one's family, and no one has the right to kill my family."
