An uncertain Reuion

I shouted at them as I sprinted forward, ready to fight. With one swift move, I punched the first normal-looking guy in the stomach and sent him flying backwards into the wall.

"He's down already?" the buffalo man said with surprise. I spun around to launch another attack on the other man who had stepped forward, but before I could do so, a strong gust of wind blew me away.

"You thought I was the weakest one, but you were wrong," he smirked. His companion—the rhino-man—stood behind him, prepared to tackle me if I managed to dodge his air blast.

I smirked back and my eyes lit up. "Let's make this more interesting," I replied as I increased my speed and became almost invisible.

"He's too strong! What should we do?" The buffalo-man took a step back and grabbed the girl from the ground as leverage. He shouted at me: "If you don't want her to die, show yourself!"

I didn't bother responding and instead charged my body with electricity. The buffalo-man realized he wasn't going to get his way so he grabbed his knife and threatened the girl.

That was the last straw for me, I spun around and hit the wind user in the face, sending him flying across and he hit the wall. Then I ran at the buffalo man, buffeting him with electric punches until he lay on the floor, moaning in pain.

I heard a rush of blood as I punched him forty times in total. As I stepped away, all my attackers were on their knees apologizing to me and the girl. "Wait here," I told them before leading her a short distance away.

"I need you to keep what just happened between us, alright?" I asked her with a smile. After a few moments of silence, she nodded and thanked me before picking up her jacket.

"I'll call the police so you can go now; I'll stay here until they arrive," I said and watched as she walked away.

"She had the resilience to stand up and leave here after what you did with a smile," I said as I fixed them with an icy stare and an evil grin.

"Let's do something that finally earns her a real smile," I continued as I moved towards them.

"Keep this in mind: don't tell a soul about what happened here or I'll find you and do it all over again," I warned, accentuating my words with wild gestures of my hands.

"Wh-what do you mean?" the buffalo man quivered as he kneeled in fear.

"Before the police arrive, let's have some fun by breaking your bodies, piece by piece," I answered with a glint in my eye.

With that, they began to scream for mercy, begging for forgiveness.

I proceeded to break their fingers and toes until the sirens blared nearby. Calming myself through deep breaths, I was able to control the bloodlust within me after twenty minutes.

When I arrived back home, hurriedly making sure my track jacket did not show the evidence of my deeds before my mother came home from work.

The mere thought of my mother discovering my actions sends shivers down my spine; I'd be in deep trouble.

After all, I'm not supposed to reveal that side of myself to anyone. My identity must remain shrouded in secrecy, for if it were to be exposed, they would undoubtedly come after us.

I've got a pretty good handle on my abilities, but I've deliberately kept most of my energy sealed. It just makes life easier when you're not drawing attention to yourself as the weakest link at school. You never know who might be watching, right? My power's not like the others – it's a real handful to control, especially when things get heated in a fight.

So, I headed over to the washing machine to tackle those pesky blood stains on my track jacket and bottoms. But, surprise, surprise, blood stains aren't exactly a piece of cake to get rid of.

Looks like I might have to bite the bullet and send them off to the dry cleaners. Only problem is, my mom's friend works there, and you know how nosy she can be. She'll end up asking a bunch of unnecessary questions, and before you know it, Mom will be onto me.

I can't just talk my way out of this one, so I'm thinking the best move is to grab my school gear and burn it. Then, I'll just tell them I got stripped naked. It's not like it's the first time that's happened, especially when Dwayne's not around to bail me out.

I grabbed my jacket and headed out to the backyard, tossing it into the fire along with a bunch of other junk that had accumulated out there. Figured I had to rough myself up a bit to sell the whole stripped-naked story. Now the only snag is figuring out who I'm gonna blame for bullying me.

It was pretty frustrating, but I figured I'd just tell her it was those kids from the neighboring school and plead ignorance. Watching my clothes go up in flames, I was relieved I had a spare uniform tucked away.

Back indoors, I hit the sack like your average teenager who's had a rough day.

Mom showed up not long after, asking how I was holding up. I played it cool, acting all oblivious, waiting for her to swing by my room, comfort me, and maybe even give me a pat on the back for not resorting to violence which actually did.

She came and did her usual routine, none the wiser. Damn, was I relieved! It would've been a major headache if she caught on.

"Ah, fucking hell, when will I ever catch a break?" I grumbled, peering out the window of my room.

Ashylene, huh? She's got some seriously messed-up sisters. And the funny thing is, they're a bunch of fucking bullies, the scum of the earth. But one of those twins, she's actually not half bad. Yeah, I know they're twins, but one of them's got that extra spark, if you know what I mean. Heh-heh.

"Sarah, right?" I mused. She's actually pretty damn hot.

Meanwhile Ashylene

In the meantime, Ashylene arrived home and changed into her newly-selected outfit. Her maids brought her clothes to wear before the guest she wanted to meet would arrive.

"Hi there, how was school today?" Ashylene's mother asked.

"I'm good, Mom. How have you been?" Ashylene replied with a kind expression on her visage.

"I'm doing great; that dress looks nice. You'll look lovely tonight," she said as she passed her daughter's room.

Ashylene's facial expression changed and became frosty.

"So the Frost family is coming here, right?" she questioned as she stood in front of the mirror wearing a dazzling white dress.

"Lady Ashylene, the guests have arrived," her maid informed her. Ashylene then turned around and took a seat at the table as Jane's parents entered the room. Sarah and Tanaka followed suit and greeted Jane's family warmly.

Ashylene rose up and bowed as she smiled to welcome them all. Sarah looked at Ashylene with an artificial grin, trying to conceal her disdain towards her.

Ashylene gave them her regards and they took their seats. Then their mothers started chatting away.

"What are you three planning?" asked Ashylene as she faced Jane, Sarah and Tanaka who also looked back at her wearing smiles on their faces.

"How tedious," she said.
