Chapter 2.

"Eric, you can't just practically yell that out when we don't even know if Spencer has powers!" Kyle hissed angrily.

"Sorry," Eric mumbled.

"Oh hohohohoho, my friends, but I do have powers!" Spencer responded excitedly.

"Spill it!" Kyle and Eric whispered.

"Temporal Control!"

"What?"

Spencer smiled at his friends like the way a mother would smile while explaining to a child how the cow goes 'moo'.

"I can control time!"

They all agreed that it was all pretty cool.

As it turns out, they all had abilities that would help them in combat. Kyle could summon materials, and Eric could do mind control. Soon after introducing their powers to one another like PTA mothers a voice rang out clearly.

Greetings, Heroes. The three of you

will become heroes of another realm

different to your own. You all have

destinies. Spencer, you are The

Crafter, Kyle, you are The Rogue,

and Eric, you are The Wizard. Go

forth and help the people of the

next realm. You have a week to prepare

Eric was the first to break the stunned silence. "I'm a what?"

"Now is not the time for Harry Potter References, Eric," said Kyle.

Spencer was busy thinking about his situation as The Crafter. Between them, there wasn't really a warrior, and he certainly didn't want to be a warrior. In a game, like The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, he became a master blacksmith, alchemist, and enchanter. He could make the best goddamn armor in the game, but he never did, because he never fought, and when he had to, he would just switch to godmode. On the other hand, if this was going to play like a game of Skyrim, he would love it, because he was quite proficient with a weapon in real life. Ranged weapons to be exact. He could shoot a gun or fire a bow pretty well. Spencer had made up his mind of his attack strategy, at least for now.

"So," Spencer said, breaking the silence that was starting to form again, "I get to make stuff."

"No duh" Kyle responded.

"Well, what are we going to do to prepare for a week?" asked Eric.

"I am stealing my parent's credit card, going to Walmart, and buying supplies," Kyle said.

"No wonder you're a thief." Spencer joked, but Kyle did have a point. They might never see their families again, so they should kind of take advantage of this. Spencer wasn't going to go back to this high school. He had to prepare.

After two more class periods, Spencer could have gone on the bus, but he decided that Walmart was closer to the school than his house, so he called his mom and said he was going over to Kyle's. Spencer was a good kid, so his mom allowed him to. After an hour of walking, he arrived at Walmart. Luckily, he had a credit card on him, because he was responsible enough to use it in an emergency that required cash.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Spencer went to the clothing section first. Unlike most characters he played as or read about, a ragged cloth would not be his starting equipment. He picked up lots of underwear and socks, he bought a lot of comfy shirts for varying temperatures, two hoodies, several pairs of carpenter and cargo pants, and most importantly, two kinds of shoes. He got great running shoes and some steel-toed boots. Great for when things step on you.

He then went to the camping section. He picked up a great Zippo lighter, a knife, a tent, a bedroll, a lamp, many batteries, A mammoth jug for water, lots of rope, some purification tablets, and a whistle. Because it was right next to the camping section, he went into the sport section, where he picked up a helmet and a bat, and went to the luggage section where he got a large suitcase that could roll.

Next, He went to the crafting section, where he got plenty of needles, thread, pencils, pads of paper, and other crafting-related items. He then grabbed a solar charger from the electronics, along with a megaphone. Lastly, he went to the food section. He bought even more water, and some food that wouldn't perish like condensed milk, cereal, and jerky. His bill rang up to be almost $400 (£263.54). He still had $600 (£395.31) until he hit his limit. He strutted into the pawn shop next to the Walmart, barely controlling himself. Have that much money at the pawn shop was like being a millionaire, to him anyway.

He looked around and saw what he came here for, a good laptop. That was why he had gotten the solar charger. He found a pretty good laptop for $400 and purchased it. He also got a new mobile phone and put his sim card into it. Spencer was extremely excited for this new world he was going to. He decided to use his last 6 days to train his skills. So, with the remaining time left in the day, Spencer went to the library.

Spencer went to the for dummies section and picked up all sorts of gathering and processing skills, even ones on architecture and engineering, just in case. He also left his new laptop to download a bunch of stuff he would need. A few hours later, just as the library was closing, Spencer got really hyped for the new world. Spencer almost wanted to go there early. In fact, because he wanted to so bad, he tried to plea with the god/godess.

Spencer got down on one knee and said "Hey, it's uh, The Crafter here and I'm all ready to go, is there a chance I could go there now instead of later?"

Surprisingly enough, the godess responded immediately.

For my favorite Hero,
