I waited. I waited and waited for someone strong enough to kill me. In my iron palace. Until they stopped coming. I went outside and saw that the world that I tried to save was a wasteland and my own home was in ruins. I was not amused. As I looked at the landscape there was one thing that stuck out. A child walking towards me. Was this my final challenger I thought. I sallied out to meet him and asked him why he was here. He said he was looking for food. I didn't believe him. I told him he wanted the food in my castle he would have to destroy me and take my place. His eyes glazed over before becoming more focused for a second then he fell over and quietly drifted off. Anger welled up inside me at being denied another challenge, but when I looked at him I saw a mirror image of my younger self. Then when I looked at me I saw the very thing wanted fight against. Then all emotion stopped. I was always a bit of a sociopath but when I reflected on myself I enjoyed the quietness of no feelings.

I silently worked on a way to fix my mistake even if it cost me my life. I went to my half finished time machine and powered it on. I was really just looking for a new place to die.
