I don't why, but I awoke with a refreshed feeling. Almost forgetting all my troubles. I lay in bed smiling to myself. A minute later I called out to my wife Irene but then I remembered. She was not here. My smile faded as I got up to brush my teeth. I really looked at myself and saw all the bruises I had. Good moments, bad moments they all came back to mind. Every scar had it's own story.
I brushed my teeth forgetting the idea I had. I had nothing to do now. I sat on the couch, and stared at the black TV screen. It took me a minute or so to grab for the remote and as I did a sharp pain hit me in the head. I fell to my knees. It hurt very much, and I started to hit my head. I hit it hard and finally it went away. Laying there I thought " what would have happened if I did write the letters I said I would? Why is this only happening to me? Are my friends having the same troubles? What did I do to deserve this? " I thought and thought and thought.
Finally I got up, and reached for the remote. My hands refused to touch it, but I grabbed it. I sat down and put on the cooking show. It was my favorite show to watch.
I wondered why I didn't write the letter's I said I'd write but one things for sure I didn't think that THIS would happen. So I decided to write down some reasons as to why, and I ended up writing and entire detailed story of what happened when I was at war.
Before I jump into the story I want to introduce some other characters that play a big part in my story.
That being said I'll start with Irene my wife. Her first name is Irene and her last is Juan. But since she left I don't really know or care. Anyway I really wanted to tell you all the story of how we met. Well it was the middle term of high-school when a new girl walked in. she seemed confident but shy, alone but so very beautiful. She walked in with glasses and her hair in a bun.
The teacher asked her to introduce herself. So she stood in the front and said in a thick but elegant Latin accent " Hi my name is Irene Christopher and I'm the new transfer student. I'm quite excited to be here. And I think I will make a lot of friends. " " Is that all? " the teacher asked. She nodded yes and went to find a seat.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
I don't know how but she sat right behind me. I really didn't take much notice but how could I not. She was smarter than you would think and her style was quite predictable. Don't get me wrong she looked fine in whatever she wore. I started talking to her and we became the most inseparable of friends. And that turned to love. So that's how I met my wife.
I want to talk about my children as well. Both handsome and pretty. My oldest daughter Jaquelin. She has her mothers eyes. Hazel brown and a hint of white. She also had long curly hair She's 16 this year. And her brother Joseph. Irene used to say that he would look exactly like me. She was right, I mean when has she ever been wrong. He had dark brown eyes and black hair. He's ten this year. He always obeyed his sister.
I remember when Jaquelin was born and I couldn't stop crying of laughter as Irene said " I told you it would be a girl! " as motivation to keep her pushing. I still laugh about it until today. Jaqueline was my top priority. And to say she didn't want to ever see me again it hurts. A lot.
Next my friend Simon Bowers my mate since college died in war. I owe him my life really. He wasn't the typical jock at school. Masculine and soft what normal girls would say perfect. I met him by accident really on my first day of school, while walking into the dormitory I accidentally bumped into him. Of course I didn't know I would be best friends with him for the next three years. I walked away trying my best to make sure he knew I was sorry and to my surprise he apologized for.... Nothing. Now I had to go find my room. And when I finally did guess who I found in the room. Yep the same guy I bumped into.
We stared at each other for a few moments. He finally broke the silence by asking my name. I told him mine and we started talking a lot. Turns out we both had the same kind of interests. Soon we became the greatest of friends.
Now I feel Important to tell you about the country we lost to : Babilbo. It was a country that would use it's manpower to the highest of levels and makes sure that none of the soldiers would ever be called weak. They drain so much power out of them that they make it impossible for anyone to even run. But that fury and tiredness and anger turns into motivation and somehow power that makes them undefeatable. I still feel quite that there is something that they have hidden from us. Perhaps a secret power or method or medicine they eat to make them this strong. It just feels impossible.
And finally an end to this character list I want to end with me. I was never really a strong athlete I would often tell my teachers that I feel sick just to skip P.E lessons. It worked most of the time but the times it didn't I would force myself to play. I really loved to cook though. So when I went to college determined to be a soldier it was a whole courier change for me. But the only thing that kept me going was my love for Irene and my Father who died in battle.
