Jane moved underneath the trees and sparkling icicles as carefully as she could, she had wished to hunt her prey when it was moving and aware so she held out hope that when she reached the cave it would show signs of activity, or better yet, be completely empty. The moon was easily able to shine through the thin clouds that trailed across the sky so she knew that the shadows that trailed on the ground came from the thick tree canopy ahead, she had no problem seeing through the long shadows however, tracking the movement of the multitude of small animals that were scurrying through the brush below her and was rather happy with the amount she saw that unknowingly crossed her path, she knew the black bear would be awake at this point, though if the beast would be in it's den or out looking for food, she didn't yet know. She approached the path that she and her friends had walked on a couple weeks past and paused to listen, she heard no snores coming from the nearby cave and the smell was not as thick as it had been, she grinned to herself in delight with the knowledge it would be a true hunt tonight, not just an assassination. She gripped a low hanging branch and hauled herself upwards to a small crook that once had served as a squirrels home, she had removed the resident to prepare for the night she came back and was glad she did as it allowed her a small spot to store the tools she would not need for the hunt but would need to clean the kill afterwards. She took off the tarp pack that she had retrieved earlier and stored it before pausing once more to look around and figure out where her quarry had gone, she noticed some bushes below had been stripped and the leaves that belonged on them trailed off towards where she knew a small river flowed through the forest. She smiled and started towards the river using the many small branches that hovered above the forest floor, while she knew in the back of her mind that a fall from this height would at very least run the risk of shattering one, if not both, of her legs, she worried much more about the fact that a fall would almost certainly make her prey became alert and turn the hunt into a fight which she had hoped to avoid as it would cut down the time she would have to clean and store her trophy afterwards.
She got lucky and aside from a small scare did not slip to the forest floor this night and soon reached where she could hear the river trickling by, the river did not move fast unless a storm was either raging or had just occured the night before, she moved the focus of her ears away from the river's burbling and tried to locate the bear drinking from the stream like she knew it would be. It took little time and she started to turn to get above and downwind of her prey, after a very short few hops she arrived at the edge of the tree line and saw her prey nearly directly below her. The beast had obviously seen a few winters with it's size but still remained young enough to have more than enough energy to drag the fight out longer than she could deal with, she retrieved the two serrated blades she had stolen a couple of summers ago and made sure they were conected well to the chains at their base, the blades were curved at the end like hooks a butcher would use and looked sharp enough to pierce stone. She gribbed the blades by their handles after connecting the chains to the tree up high enough to where the creature would have to climb up to remove the chains, she waited until the bear lumbered underneath her branch and stood up to scratch it's back, the beast started to lower itself back down and Jane dropped. She dropped directly in front the creature before driving both blades as deep as she could into the pits where it's front legs connected to it's body, she knew she could have aimed for the eyes or ears but wished not to damage the eyes and did not want to risk getting an arm caught in the bear's maw, she would not receive much damage but her clothes could not boast the same durability. The beast roared and tried driving it paws down towards her but accomplished nothing but driving the blades deeper and moving them upwards as the chains snapped tight before it could reach her. She jumped backwards before pulling out a small bottle that was resting on one of her pants belt loops. She tossed it towards the roaring mouth and watched as the bottle broke and the viscous liquid inside expanded in the beasts throat and out it's mouth. The roaring became muffled and the beast thrashed for a few scant minutes before going completely limp.

Jane let out a victorious sound and jumped in place for several seconds, the concoction she made had worked just as well as she had hoped it would. After allowing herslef a little victory dance she moved closer to see just how much the mix had reacted to the shattering of the bottle and the saliva of the bear. The bottle she had grabbed from the science lab before winter break along with a couple of other items but the liquid was own of her own making. She had drawn blood from herself after she heard the doctors comment on it's strangely oil like qualities. After she drew some and figured out it was more oily depending on how close to her heart it was, she got the most oily she could and filled it with sodium and a crushed up magnet she got from a watch. The result was an explosively expanding semi-liquid that formed spikes quick enough to pierce flesh but would quickly melt if exposed to more blood, choking the bear and contaminating it's blood at the same time. She jogged back to get her pack after deciding to clean the kill where it died and quickly hurried back, though her steps were still careful, she knew she could go through the brush with little fear of being attacked by any wild animals. Once she reached the bear she pulled another bottle out that was filled with a mix of her saliva and bleach. She set it aside for the moment and worked on the bear, she had hunted deer and elk before and knew how to remove the blood from them so she followed that as closely as she could with the larger quarry she had before her. After she had removed the unwanted waste inside the bear and quite possibly got all the blood she could unless she used her clothes as bags, she dumped the unwanted organs into the river, unhooked the bear from the tree, and hefted it over her shoulder to take it home, she knew she wouldn't be able to keep it all so she had cut out all the internal organs except for the heart which she snacked on as she worked. The end result she took home was essentially a bear skin rug with a couple of pounds of meat still left inside, almost entirely concetrated within the limbs.
She arrived at home and cleaned out the limbs of the bear of the meat inside, after stuffing it safely inside the garage deep freezer underneath the stuff that her parents wouldn't move anytime soon, she headed to her room and took care of the rest of the carcass. The head came off to get it's teeth and eyes out, the claws came off the feet to be tucked in her drawers until she knew what to do with them, and the rest of the skin and fur was rolled and bound tightly before being stored underneath her pillows. She took the head and scooped the eyes out as carefully as she could before putting them in a jar full of preserving liquid in her closet before finally pulling out the bottle she had retrieved earlier. Taking both it and the head to the bathtub, she popped the bottle open and covered the entirety of the head with it, watching as her blood mix and saliva mix dissolved each other and any flesh or fur still left on the head. The process got done within a minute and she decided to take a shower as well while cleaning the skull and teeth. After she had showered she took the clean skull back to her room and popped the largest and cleanest teeth out to be threaded onto a thin chain she had for this purpose. She only had 10 teeth she considered good enough for the job with only one canine making it's way on the chain on the very front. She finished the necklace before finally setting the skull on her dresser and going to bed, making sure to set and alarm to wake up in just 4 hours when her parents said they would be home. She felt more alive than ever and knew Jess would accept her trophy.
