Kevin looked across the mech to Garry who was eating his food mixed with the Dried herbs inside.
“ Did they speak like us?” Kevin asked Garry.
“Yes, exactly like us.” Garry took another mouth full.
“Do you think they are hostile?” Beckywatched her lover Garry swallow another spoon of mush then respond to her question. “ They seemed decent.”
“ you wanna come check out the bonfires Cheryl?” Kevin offered Cheryl but she refused. “ No, I'm kinda scared of the people down there, we have no idea what their customs are, what they believe, not to mention what they have been through on the surface..”
Cheryl stood up and looked at the monitors. “ What exactly are they doing?”
“Looks like a fun time, the Dancing the drums.” Kevin tried to sweeten the deal.
“Yeah Kevin, how about we check it out?” Becky insisted.
“Sure, let's take a walk around and Garry will watch us with the mini gun.” Kevin smiled then stood up to walk over and climb down the ladder Becky followed him down into the living quarters.
Kevin got undressed and so did Becky. They opened some new chemical sponge packs then rubbed the chemical sponges on their naked bodies. Becky wiped her pussy lips and legs. Kevin wiped the chemical all over his lower abs and chest down to his balls.
Kevin started to put on the biohazard suit.Becky helped him with the helmet. Then she put on her gear. Kevin zipped her bio suit up and opened the elevator.
Kevin stepped inside, “When was the last time you were at a party?”
Becky picked up the Radiation detector and followed Kevin inside the elevator.
“Ummmm oh wow, I can’t remember the last party. I think it might have been at the temple when we had an abundant harvest, Lori was extra tipsy from the potato vodka.”
“Ohhh woah that was a long time.”
“Do you ever think about Her?”
“Yeah all the time, I miss all of them.” Kevin blinked with a straight face.
“Do you think we will ever go back?” Kevin asked Becky.
“Yeah, One day we will return.” Becky smiled at kevin. “We just got to look out for each other.”
“You're right.” The elevator came to a stop and the doors opened.
A young brown skinned boy dressed in silver deer fur, backed up.
“ woah woah.” he put up his arms. “ I mean no harm, I have never seen anything like this before.”
“Yeah, it’s sure amazing this is the MWV 43.” Kevin looked at the mech from the platform.
“MWV 43..” The young man Smiled nodding his head. “ Come join us for food.”
The young man climbed down the ladder. Kevin followed him down the ladder and so did becky.
Climbing down to the fire's light.
“Why do you wear your suits?” The young man asked while they walked over to the fire’s.
“Well that's a good question, Becky, what do the readings say?” Becky smiled and looked at “Kevin there’s no Radiation.” Becky took off her helmet. Kevin watched Becky take a huge deep breath and look back at him. Kevin pushed the helmet strap releases and took off his helmet.
He looked up at the night sky which was filled with pink and light green aura lights.
“Woah, that's beautiful.” Becky and Kevin looked up at the sky with the young man.
“They are different colors from time to time, some Nights they are yellow and green some Nights purple and green.” The young man looked down at Becky and Kevin. “ My name is Swift deer, The silver deer is my spirit animal. Our tribe wears their furs in honor of their spirit.”
They followed the young man to his tribe around one of the massive bonfires. The bonfires were in a dirt surrounded area using the Giants camp for supplies. The people released their livestock which was in a similar gated trap. And the feast was on. They slaughtered the wild cows. And the roast began. The tall warrior walked up to Becky and Kevin (Tawaw, Greetings, I see you have met my son, My thanks for helping save our people.”
The tall warrior extended his hand to shake with Kevin, so Kevin reached out and they held hands for a second. “Your company here is welcomed.” The warrior passed them some bread.
Kevin passed the bread to Becky who scanned. “It’s safe, no Radiation.”
Kevin took a huge bite of the bread. “All our crops are safe to eat.” The warrior Reassured them and offered them some fresh vegetables.
“Is this?” “Yes, they are safe to eat carrots, Lettuce and tomatoes.” Becky joyfully said and started to eat the vegetables.
“How is the other man, has his sickness gone away?” The warrior asked curiously.
“Yes he’s eating the herbs you gave him.” Becky replied and the warrior nodded.
“That’s good he will be fine.” The warrior drank some water.
“Where do you guys live?” The warrior asked.
“Well we were from the underground. Our people survived many years underground with the help of ancient temple people.”
“People of the stars?” The Warrior looked up at the sky.
“But wait, How did?” “Did I know?” The warrior smiled and looked at Kevin. “They are coming back.”
“Who is?” Kevin asked.
“The Star Beings.” “When?” Kevin asked the Warrior. “Don’t Know When but I See Them.”
“Where?” Becky asked.
“ Far in the North, In the Canyons, our people fled to hide, during the end of the old world, We found a Temple. It’s where we survived for many years, like you both did underground till it was safe to resurface. Now we roam the surface, we built a village and naturally the animals came to us. we learned to live off them and the land which was easy once the topsoil was brushed off.”
Kevin sat eating a tomato listening to the warrior tell the origin story.
“Our great medicine man had a vision for the temple and our people learned to live the way the first people of the planet lived in the underground city.”
“The medicine man learned how to activate the system in the underground cavern.
Our temple began to emit light and our crops grew when they were planted and water became fresh to drink when it was brought around the crystal of light. It even cured most illnesses in people.”
Becky looked around at all the gathered brown people in deer skins standing listening to the warrior speak.
“The world is far more challenging than expected in this realization. I ask you, my people, what do we do? Try again in the forest? Or make our home in the Temple Again?”
“Temple?” The crowd was silent. “Forest?” The Crowd Cheered.
“So be it.” The warrior walked back to his horse and got on then lifted his wife aboard.
“If we leave now we can make it there by sun down tomorrow.”
“Alright we will follow you.” Becky said and Kevin stood up and followed her back to the Mech Unit.
They both put on the helmets so they didn't have to carry them in their hands.
They stopped at the ladder when two tribespeople approached. “ Can we come for a ride?”
“ Umm. no, we are not taking anyone on board.”
“Please, we will do anything you say.” The one woman said and looked Kevin in the eyes.
“Nope, we're not taking anyone on board.”
Kevin started to climb up the ladder. Becky followed him up the ladder.
The two tribes' people Watched.
Once back at the top Kevin pressed the button and walked in.
“ Do you feel bad about not giving them a ride.” “ No it's better that we don’t.”
Becky nodded in agreement with Kevin's choice.
The elevator doors opened and Kevin walked out. Taking off his bio suit.
Cheryl helped Becky. “You guys sure ate a lot of vegetables.”
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
“They were delicious, They are heading back to the village to rebuild, we said we would follow them.”
“So they were safe?” Cheryl questioned. “ Yes, one hundred percent.” Becky clarified as she was taking off her suit. Naked Becky stepped in the shower.
Kevin walked in after she exited the fast hot shower, and washed off the chemical sponge goo.
Cheryl had a towel for them both.
Kevin got dressed and climbed up the ladder.
“Kevin, how was it down there?” “Good Garry, really good, the air was safe, the food was safe and now we are going to follow them back to their home.”
Kevin started to suit up. “You good to walk at night kevin?” Becky asked him. “ I can take over whenever you wanna switch.”
“Naw I’m Good I will Walk On.” Kevin started the engines and Cheryl started to arms.
They started to walk. The light was on but they used the tail torch light of the crowd to stay behind. “This is nice.” “What is?” Kevin asked. “ nothing I guess.” Cheryl said. Kevin chuckled. “ Can’t be for nothing.” “Well just walking at night following people we helped save from giant’s, no one will ever believe us when we go home.”
“If we ever decide to return .” Garry said.
“The warrior spoke of a temple where his people were saved from the end of the old times, he spoke to the star beings there, He said they will return.”
“So is that why we are following them?”
“Yes, I was gonna help them rebuild then, ask for a guide to the temple.”
“See kid thats where we gotta cut the line.”
“What?” Kevin stopped the Mech unit.
“ well it’s dumb.” Garry said.
“What do you mean?”
“Ask yourself, why do you even want to go to their temple.”
“Cause I can maybe communicate.”
“What then?”
“........” Kevin looked down at the floor. “Why even ask them anything, they are not coming for us or back to earth why would they? Pisim was sad because he knew they weren’t coming back.”
“Garry!” Becky with a stern look on her face shouted at Garry.
“We got a life with these folk, they saved my life.” Garry pointed at the monitor.
“So did I and Pisim and the temple saved all our lives.” Kevin replied.
“Well when we get to the village we will help and see how we feel after staying awhile.” Garry replied.
Kevin wiped a tear from his eye and put the helmet back on and continued to walk.
The towering mech traveled along the dusty plains. Following the People into the Dawn.
The color purple covered skies then transformed to pink followed by orange caused by the rising of the sun to their east. The Tribes people stopped once there was a natural body of water they let the horse’s drink and rest.
The people finally rested, setting up a bunch of gear from blankets and furs.
The towering mech stood tall then lowered to a parked standing position.
It was massive in the barren lands next to the lake. The horses drank and the people made little grass and stick fires from picked up lumber off the ground while they trekked along the journey.
Kevin took off the gear and climbed down the ladder with cheryl.
Opening the hatch to the fusion core. “Wanna pass me the, ohh thanks.”
Cheryl passed Kevin the wrench to loosen the valves for a faster cool down.
Kevin bent down into the fusion core chamber and went to work.
“Don’t take it the wrong way kevin, Garry what he said, you can’t be upset you got to kind of see it from his perspective, he doesn't want to spend anymore time of his life down in the underground. None of us for that matter.”
“I know, It’s just, I guess… I do Really miss My family. and I'm just coming to terms with it.”
“With what, missing your family, it's completely normal Kevin?” “ No, with the thought that we're never going to ever see or hear them again.” Cheryl just stood there silently and looked at Kevin working on cooling the fusion core.
Remembering this time to move his hand out of the way. The steem blasted into the air.
Kevin climbed out once it was safe. Cheryl was already laying in the bed.
Kevin climbed in and rested. Kevin’s legs were sore.
Cheryl reached down and started to rub his long member hard.
Then she lowered down and kissed the tip of his member Then she started to deep throat his cock. Kevin laid there it was the best feeling he could have asked for.
Cheryl knew he was enjoying it when his abs started to contract after awhile he spent his load into her mouth. Cheryl swallowed and smiled.
“Love the way you taste.”
“Babe, I love when you know when I need it.” Kevin laid back with Cheryl and fell asleep.
Kevin woke up. It seems some hours have past and Becky was calling them back up.
“Kevin, Cheryl, The Tribe is moving on, time to go!”
Kevin stood up but his legs were too sore from the two days straight of walking.
“Cheryl, maybe you or Becky could do the walking today?”
Kevin sat back down and laid on the bed. “ugh … ouch.”
“Rest up, we need you as soon as you can be mobile again.”
Cheryl got up and walked over to the ladder and climbed up to the control deck.
Kevin laid back and looked at the metal wiring as the mech began to take function and move. It was not long after that he fell asleep to the rocking of the mech moving along the surface world.
It was a slower pace than the previous night. The Engine wasn’t heating up so quickly.
Kevin smiled and turned over to get some more rest.
His lower back felt better in that position.
Soon his eyes were closed and then he was seeing the Temple he grew up in harvesting crops, His mom and dad working the fields. Then in his dream he and his brother Allen run off to the study.
Then he woke up. The mech unit came to a halt.
Kevin sat up looking at the mechanisms powering down.
Everything looked in optimal condition.
“We must be here at the village.” Kevin thought to himself as he watched Cheryl climb down.
“You look well rested.” Cheryl smiled at kevin.
“Yeah you could say that, my legs don’t feel so bad, are we at the village?”
“Not the burnt Village, but by the waterfront.”
“Why are we here?” “I don't know, we're going down to see the town and check for supplies, even Garry is coming along are you gonna get up?”
“Oh… of course, how was the walk?”
“Wasn't too bad but I get why your legs hurt so much. Those boots are no joke.”
“Yeah yeah, it's a lot but I got it from here now.”
“Alright, just know I don't mind stepping in.”
Kevin smiled at Cheryl for her clever wording. Cheryl walked out to the main living quarters and looked at Becky and Garry Packing empty water containers into heavy dry bags.
“You alright Kevin?” Garry asked him.
“Yeah, feeling alot better.” “That's good, come take a bag.”
Kevin walked over and Garry passed him a bag.
“Are we gonna be able to carry all of this water back up?”
“Should be, I gave a lighter load to the women.”
“Oh, that’s… thoughtful.” Kevin put on the backpack.
Becky opened the elevator doors and entered inside.
Garry followed her in. Kevin and Cheryl walked in once they were settled with the backpacks on their backs.
The elevator descended to the platform.
The elevator doors opened up to the clear evening sun on its way to sunset. The orange from the sky covered the many brown stone buildings.
Becky and Cheryl climbed down followed by Garry and Kevin.
“Beautiful.” Cheryl said with a smile on her face. The beautiful stone houses stacked onto one another in a similar fashion to the temple they emerged from.
The tribe's people were happy they made it back to their homes.
Some checked their livestock, others gathered water from the pump wells.
The tall warrior stood in the middle of the village dressed in a blue robe that was decorated with nails from a creature.
“Everyone gather, Let us welcome to our tribe the People who used their Machine to save our lives.”
The tribe cheered, one man even raised Kevins arm in victory. Smiling and proud to hold up the hero's hand.
“ As Happy as I am about being back, I would like to induct these people into our village by giving them all community hatchets. These blue Hatchets welcome these individuals into our village.”
The Warrior walked up to the three of them and handed them the axes.
“I will also send a working crew to help with the reconstruction of the burnt village, anyone who is interested may help out. The Builders are making a team of 40 people to go to the site tomorrow, Also I would ask that the mech unit accompany these builders in case of another attack.”
“Will do.” Garry nodded. “I have one question.” Becky looked to the warrior. “ Do we stay here or do we build a home in the forest village?”
“The choice is yours. stay here for the night to see how our waterfront village is. That is all for now, See you all for the feast tonight ,Everyone enjoy your lives in peace.”
Becky nodded and walked to the Water fountain and started to unpack the bottles.
Kevin joined her and they both stared at the unusual pump fountain.
Then one of the villager women walked over to the stone pump fountain and pushed a stone down and water started to come out from the well. Kevin started to fill up the water bottles.
“Thanks,my name is Kevin.” Kevin looked at the woman in a deer skin dress.
“My name Is jaloci, you looked like you needed assistance.”
“That I did, looking at it now for its simple design, it really is a true work of art.” Kevin took a drink from one of the water containers. “Thanks, the stone builders take pride in their work.”
“Look at that little school building.” Cheryl pointed at the kids walking into the building.
“Oh Yes, the Sofia bot entertains the children with stories and history and teaches them to read and write.”
“Sofia bot?” Kevin questioned. Then he remembered the large amount of boxes of sofias. In the future store.
“You guys have a Sofia Bot teaching the kids?” Garry questioned.
“How could you trust the thing?” Garry looked over to the school.
“Oh Sofia taught us all in the village, she's quite the help around here with the amount of knowledge she carries.” Jaloci Smiled at Garry. “Trust me there’s nothing to fear when it comes to Sofia she genuinely loves us all.” Jaloci concluded
“What happened to your face?” a little village boy asked Garry. “What happened to what?”
“Your face, what happened , where did you get that scar from?” The boy questioned.
Garry felt the scar on his face that went across his cheek. Silently he gulped back his emotions.
“It's all a long story, maybe another time kid.” Garry replied to the kid.
“Hey Jaloci where do we find the blue robe fella.” Garry questioned.
The Jaloci Pointed towards the light brown Main workshop building with bright blue doors.
“There you will find blueStone Hand.”
“Nice thank you once again.” Garry said to Jaloci who walked up to him. “Come by later if you want to properly thank me.”
“Hey, keep off.” Becky said to Jaloci. “What I just want to fuck his brains out, you can have him back after.” and Jaloci turned and walked away.
“No bright ideas were going everywhere together in this village.” Becky stood firm beside her Garry.
“Well I'm all done filling up my haul of water.” Cheryl said, standing back up.
“Great, let's have a quick word with the Blue stone hand.” Garry suggested.
Garry walked through the village and there was music from nearby flutes and stringed instruments. People were playing and enjoying the evening. And beginning to start up fire’s to begin cooking for the evening feast.
Kevin knocked on the blue doors and Two servants opened up the doors.
Garry walked inside with Becky and Cheryl greeting the two servants. Kevin walked in looking at the walls noticing there was a lot of Paintings.
“These are the most beautiful Paintings I've ever seen.” Kevin looked at the Depictions.
“It's the dream.” Blue stone hand walked out speaking to Kevin.
“I want us to live like they did in the old times on the surface with buildings of Light, which is also why the village didnt want to go back to the temple.”
Kevin and Blue stone hand both stared at the painting’s of the cities. “Who painted?” Kevin asked.
“Sofia, did these paintings from her memory bank.” Blue stone looked over to kevin.
Becky, Cheryl and Garry watched as Blue stone gestured to them to follow him.
“Come now I got something to show you all.”
Blue Stone Hand walked into his planning room with a large table with a little set up of Buildings on the table’s surface.
“This is my planning area of our little village. See these two rivier’s my plan to use these rivers to harness their power with the construction of these two stone dams.”
Blue Stone Hand Gestures to the Servants who bring a cup of water. “See naturally these rivers are always running out to the Ocean here and here.” Blue stone hand poured the water down the river tracks and watched it flow through the dam creating electrical current lighting up his little diorama housing.
“Sofia is going to help me pull together Some supplies and we're going to run electrical lines through the housing and hook up the lighting.” Blue stone hands, words were cut off by a sniffle from Garry's nose.
“This is truly a sight for tired old eyes.” some tears fell from Garry's face.
“What's your name? I never truly got any of your names.” Blue stone hand asked.
“I’m Becky.” “ I’m Cheryl.” “ I’m Garry.” “I'm Kevin.”
“The pleasure it is to have you join our village any help with electronics or advancements in Tech we would appreciate the help. Garry walked up to Blue stone hand. “ I’m Trained in Advanced Engineering. So are my three counterparts.”
“Wow you all are truly a blessing to our community. It is an honor you are all choosing to Stay with us in our Village. I'm sure someone will take you in for the time, till we get you your own houses, as for now let's join in for the food and Drinks.”
Blue stone hand, walked out of the workshop with the group. “Whatever worries you had please forget about them we are enjoying tonight. Be happy, Meet the people.”
They walked together to join the massive village cookout. Kevin and Cheryl danced under the starlight to the flute music. Laughing, Kevin kissed Cheryl and they hugged. Cheryl couldn't remember the last time she felt this happy in her life. “ Cheryl, you want to love me forever?”
She stopped, kinda shocked to hear Kevin say that to her.
Cheryl looked at Kevin. “Yes of course I do Kevin.” and they kissed again.
Garry and Becky sat and ate a lot of vegetables at the dinner tables.
“Mmm this is great, what is it?” Garry asked after taking a sip. “Oo that's sweet berry wine. I made it Myself.” The proud Chef stood with a smile on his face. “ Greetings, my name is Garry. Your name is?” “ My name is Mick. I do most of the meals around here, so if you ever want a recipe I'm the person to ask.”
“Good to meet you sir.” Garry shook his hand and continued to enjoy the wine.
“This is amazing.” Becky said to Garry. “It truly is a blessing we found this place.”
“ I want a Life here with you Garry.” Garry leaned over to kiss Becky. “ Babe, I'm going to do everything in my power to make this life here with you.”
And the Village went on enjoying the feast playing music, singing and rejoicing in the return to their home. Eating, Drinking. While Blue Stone Fist stood in the distance and Smoked his Elder's pipe and watched the stars.
