In an era that will be called the era of primordials or the era of gods, depending whom and when you ask, Dominion one of the most powerful gods vanished.

He went into the void between realities in search of more lands and people to conquer but after almost a millennium he returned, at first it seemed that he was triumphant and he used his newfound knowledge and power to wage a war against the other gods.

The other gods banded together to defeat him but his forbidden knowledge made dominions followers too powerful to resist when their domains of them began to crumble and they did not saw a way to victory they tried to destroy dominion personally.

It was a grand battle where an entire galaxy was destroyed and remade by the clashing divine energies.

In the end Dominion won even if he was unable to kill or cripple any of the opposing gods, because he was no longer bound by the fundamental rules that govern divine beings after he was twisted by a Primordial Void creature.

After their defeat the other gods came up with a plan to raise a being powerful enough to kill Dominion, they blessed a mortal child that was born on the day after their defeat.

It grows up to be the strongest magician the universe has ever seen and when it reached the peak of mortal power at the age of only 14 the gods revealed themself to the child and told him to defeat the followers of dominion.

And so the child did, it waged a war over countless years it lost everything and everyone it loved to the fighting but in the end it was victorious.

But dominion was angry he attacked the child who was by now a man almost a century old, and pulled him into the Void.

the gods decided they had no more need for the boy because the loss of all his faithful weakened dominion enough to give them the upper hand.

But the child was to strong because it to was capable of divine magic without being subject to the limitations that divine beings normally have in the void it killed dominion and shatter the Primordial who controlled him but the void needed a Primordial to remain stable and as the only living thing left in the Void it forcefully remade the boy into a living paradox equally mortal, divine and Primordial.

When he returned victorious the gods where scared of what they had created and envious of the knowledge he gained they wanted to break the rules binding them like dominion had done and so they betrayed the child and with united power tried to forcefully crack his mind and pry out his secrets before killing him. 

They tried and they failed and after the boy gave everything he had and was to protect the universe only to be backstabbed by the very gods who he had something in him broke with the power of the void he shattered the minds of the gods and killed every last one of them but the backlash from all the energies he absorbed after killing them he was over flowing with to much energies and couldn't hold on, and that was the story how Archibald Voidwalker became the god of Primordial Chaos.
