Dear Readers,

I am announcing an extended hiatus for “The Vermilion Bloodline”. I have been struggling to come up with ideas for how to progress the plot, I have established the general outline of what I want to happen but I have not planned the events and development between those major plot events. The way I plan to write the story is to have character development being focused on more than the overarching plot, with this style I ended up having trouble coming up with events and asked for help. The problem was that I was not going for shounen ladder climb type of story as I call it, (the protagonist and friends fighting up the ladder of the villains or other to eventually reach the main boss(es) as some battle shounen stories base their structure on.) which would have made it easier yet I decided to make the villains major threats for these untrained adolescents rather than random mobs for them to clear as they proceed towards the major enemies. With this style in mind I ended up hitting a wall real quick, coming up with daily events and how to have the character grow and reveal their inner selves compared to having them just fight a villain and have them learn from the encounter. I ended up jumping the gun on this story which caused me to decide to make this a side project while I focus on one of my previous works which I had a more detailed plan for and properly/thoroughly expand upon it. I would also like to give credit to my editor and friend, Pandora’s Box, for all the help I received from him, fixing mistakes and helping me understand how to improve my certain scenes. TL;DR
