Within the walls of a dark castle, the clock strikes 12, and a bell outside is struck. It rings, in an eerie tone. The wind howls in the night sky, near a somber, ominous forest. But the bell overtakes the sound of the wind, making the forest even more dangerous to walk in. A dark hooded man with a Sword on his back walks the path, listening to the bell. This sound would take him to his destination, and his fate was yet to come.

The man. Approaches the gloomy castle. He looks up, getting a full view with his yellow eyes. He could tell that the unsettling aura it gave off was sinister. It almost felt like the king himself was staring him down from his throne, but with determination boiling in his blood, he ventures further into the unknown. He has second thoughts about his mission.

'I'm weak, but I have to try. For the world and the universe. This war must end. To do that, I had to leave the place I called home. ' He thinks to himself

Ravens can be heard squawking on a branch. They jump off, spreading their wings to fly away into the dark unknown… ‘The visions have gotten worse. My head is about to burst open.’

Reaching closer to the castle. He stops in his tracks. He looks up, seeing the tip of the castle reach the night sky.

But before he can get any closer. His brain shakes, his mind splits open, and multiple thoughts and voices that have yet to be discovered. Clenching his head. He wanted the pain to stop. His back jolts backwards. Now looking at the sky, his eyes scanned the night sky, and they closed. He sees multiple visions of what's to come.

‘There it is again. It just won’t stop.’, He readjusts his body, and he looks ahead. Seeing a flight of stairs leading to the entrance. Walking up the stairs, the door opens and the dark abyss makes it difficult to see. The bell rings louder, as he enters the dark abyss.. the clock ticks..

The castle halls are narrow, leading in one direction. Guards roam around, and blue candles light the way. Below his feet lies a red carpet. He strolls along it, and he remembers 'Right the examination, in order to become a knight I must pass this test, I need to ask where the sign up is.'

He walks over to one guard that is standing at attention. He speaks up to them.

"Hello I’m Nevada I would like to take part in the exam. Do you know where the sign up is?" he notices that both of the guards don't even flinch.

"Yeah I sure do, just go straight down, and take a left, that'll take you to the ballroom, you're gonna see a bunch of people lined up you can't miss it." The guard says while he shifts his eyes to look at the other guard, and they both hold in their laughter.

Another guard approaches them “did you both notice anything he has yellow eyes, dark blue hair, and his hooded has an eye on it you know what this means we have a lunarian in our presence”

The two guards stop laughing and panic “No way I hear those people can make your nightmares into reality… and can forge their own worlds… but they went extinct a long time ago. I guess we were wrong.”

"Thanks!" Nevada follows the directions that the guard gave to him as soon as he leaves the two guards talk behind Nevada's back. They even laugh a little. He ignores this.

Nevada enters the room seeing the train of people chattering, and waiting to sign up for the exam. He makes his way to the back of the line. Panic sets in as he notices all the participants are well prepared, unlike him. He looks behind him and sees a person with a huge dark mage hat, she stands behind him 'huh nice hat' he thinks to himself.

A duo enter the room chatting, they shove Nevada to the floor, and steal his spot. Nevada gets off from the ground and stretches a bit as he approaches the two who pushed him.

He shouts at them while pointing at the pair "Was that really necessary?" He crosses his arms looking to the side. The other participants take notice

One of them replies while giving Nevada a stern look.

"Listen here you twig. We're the real deal around this castle. Besides, Taking one good look at you, you won't survive in this examination. This exam is only for the best of the best, so I suggest you go home to your mother," the two of them chuckled a bit as they turned around and continued to chat about their daily activities.

Nevada just grunts but is a bit stung by hearing the word Mother he knew not to let his emotions loose, especially in front of the examination site. Time passed on, and the train of people slowly got smaller. It was finally time for Nevada to sign up.

The other person from the duo speaks to him

"Good luck you twig. Tell me when they fail you... oh that's right weaklings like you get thrown out if they fail," the two of them laugh leaving the ballroom.

Nevada mumbles to himself

"Pesky brats just wait until they all fear the might of Nevada! I'll show them I'm no twig!" He walks up to the lady signing papers..

The lady gazes her head upward, they both meet eye to eye. She scoffs a bit as his yellow eyes blind her a bit

"Welcome to Nyx's castle sir, beyond this hall you'll find the examination site, king Nyx will also be watching. The examination will test your skills against those who have also signed up. If you win, you will become a knight and be under the commands of the king. May I take your name, please, and home name please?" She takes out a feathered pen, and she dips it in ink.

"Nevada ma'am, I am from the village of Lunar" Nevada sees her checking off his name with a worried expression

‘From the Lunar that place went extinct a long time ago… I guess he's the last survivor..’

"What a surprise I have never seen a lunarian before. Only dark mages, and the people who control the planets. Good luck in there and don’t die" She hesitates a bit before writing his name on the paper, the ink trickles leaving a small stain.

"I won't and thank you." Nevada leaves the ballroom, and he looks down at the dark corridor for a second. The clock is heard one last time "Tick Tock!" Nevada takes his first step into his unknown journey.

A Mohawked man's fist begins to glow in a reddish color he punches a man with a scar, their body glows in an ominous red color and their body begins to float in the air, The mohawked man jumps into the air and his legs spark in a dark light and he performs a bicycle kick on the man with the scar the gravity, changes and the man hits the floor. He gets up and begins to send out a multitude of spells

"I think the guy with the scar has it" one says another speaks up

"Hmm no, the guy with the mohawk has it". They all cheer on the two fighters as the king of darkness watches.

After some more fighting the guy with the Mohawk wins. Nyx nods in approval and he speaks out to the man with the scar

"You have failed the examination, go back to your village. We don't need failures here, we require warriors that are built to destroy Solaris's Castle. Never come back here. Or stay here and watch others who are far superior to you."

He points to the seats. The man goes over to a seat where other examinees have failed, he takes a seat to watch the other fights.

Nevada was a bit taken aback from what the king said 'Never come back huh I guess I need to calculate my winning chance which is according to my notes is' he writes numbers in his mind as he imagines each fight

he comes to a standstill 'are zero to none but I have to try if I can win this then I can stop the war'

The pair return looking at Nevada they chuckle a bit "tch what a pathetic excuse of a participant." One of them smirks while looking at him.

'Not again...' Nevada just ignores him as he continues jotting down more calculations 'no there is a 1% chance I know what I have to do' he looks at the arena examining it, the arena is square four stands are lit with a blue fire on every corner of the arena, the carpet is set he gets an idea.

One of them stares at Nevada., they furrow their brow, and he rushes up to him, grabbing him by the shirt and lifting him to the air "Hey weren't you listening to me?! you scum of the earth."

Nevada tries to shake himself loose from the person's grasp but he just accepts his fate

"I was but I was busy calculating my chances and my ideas. That's something you should do, you don't even know the true power I possess. you dumbasses!" His eyes shine in a dark light ready to protect himself.

"Why I outta!" The person goes for a punch but he gets stopped by a hand made of vines he looks down seeing a small woman that glares at him with cherry eyes. He sweats, and so do the other examinees, he puts Nevada down "I'm so sorry please forgive my rudeness Miss Blossom" the other examinees whisper amongst themselves of this person.

Blossom sighs at the sight given to her, and she makes her grip tighter on his hand

"This is your only warning, if you harm any participants taking the exam I'll make sure that you leave. The same goes for the rest of you"

she notices that they all scramble a bit panicking

"hmph that's better" She huffs, and removes her grip, she walks over to a seat to observe them all.

Nevada gets up, and looks at the unfamiliar person in front of him walking away he gets a better look her left arm is gone replaced by vines, as she turns around to watch he notices from his point of view a burn on the right side of her face, her eyelids are gone along with eyesight, and a small scar on the left eye her hair is green with pigtails her skin tone is an olive color, and she wears a cyan dress with a belt made of flowers the highlights of her dress reach her belt the. Her height appears to be 5 '4, but he doesn't seem scared, he thinks That it's just another guard.

"Just who was that?"

"You really are a clueless fool. That lady is the right-hand woman of Nyx, she trains the new recruits and she's brutal. I heard from one guy that she can whip out an entire Company if she so chooses, and she can take on Venom, the fiercest guy in Helios kingdom.." The man calms down, and notices that Blossom watches everyone at this point so he steps away from Nevada

"you're so lucky that she's here if she wasn't a world of pain would come your way." The duo goes over to the corner never to be seen again.

The mage with the huge dark hat leans against the wall with her arms crossed, she looks around the room with her head up. She saw the commotion, she put her head down waiting for her turn to fight in the examination 'jeez some people I swear' she thought to herself.

As the fights continue Nevada takes this time to reflect on the different races that exist in the kingdom of Mani.

‘In order to win. I must understand the weaknesses and strengths of the dark mages, and Universal. People may say that the black mages and the people who control the cosmos have a similarity but only I know the difference. The people who control the Cosmos can control the gravity of the planet. That’s why that man's arm and legs were glowing. If you get hit by it, the user is able to control the enemy's center of gravity. That’s why the impact was brutal. The dark mages can conjure spells like water, electricity, and other sorts. I wonder who I will be up against.’

Some time passes and the examiners begin to either pass or fail. Finally, it was time for Nevada to shine.
