So... I really was decieved... how ironic...

As my gaze fell upon Yarine, a chill coursed through her spine, for she sensed the weight of my infernal presence. With a malevolent tone, I uttered the next words.

"Do you truly believe that a mere handful of Archangels can save this congregation? The more you bring before me, the more lambs there will be for the slaughter..."

A sinister laughter escaped my lips, sending a wave of terror through the petrified onlookers.

"This world shall crumble, just like your feeble faith, and just like the weakling you dare to call God. Prepare yourselves, for I shall unveil the true meaning of power."

The Archangels swiftly formed a protective barrier around themselves and the vulnerable humans, bracing for the impending onslaught that I was about to unleash. Sensing the imminent danger, every magic caster, including Father Malfus, Emperor Lucious, and Yarine, rallied to support the Angels, ensuring the safe evacuation of the weaker individuals.

"Lead them to the monastery!" Lucious commanded, pointing to the door as the guards hurriedly cleared the path.

Harnessing the depths of my eternal loathing for this world, I tapped into powers that were still unfamiliar to even myself. Channeling the full might of the God of Darkness, the very horror I had once subjugated, I summoned forth an aura of darkness that merged with the infernal black flames of hell. My physical form expanded, fueled by an overwhelming rage coursing through my veins.

"I command you, God of Darkness, grant me the power to vanquish the light and bring forth eternal damnation!"

"Maximize magic, dark arts. Maximize magic, dark resonance. Maximize magic, true evil." - These are spells that increase the power of dark magic of a specific field.

As I began bolstering myself with powerful enchantments, the archangels swiftly launched a counterattack, realizing that remaining on the defensive was no longer a viable strategy. Consequently, the protective barrier weakened, leaving an opening.

Surprisingly, it was Uriel, known for his patience, who initiated the first assault. Unleashing a barrage of arcane power, he aimed to disrupt my incantations, and he succeeded. Reacting swiftly, I materialized my blade of darkness and proceeded to sever his magical onslaught.

"Ah, it seems your brother Raguil is absent. Perhaps he has fallen ill?" I taunted, relishing in Uriel's growing disdain.

"You wretched fiend," Uriel retorted, his voice filled with contempt.

Beside Uriel, Anauel took a moment to offer reassurance.

"Brother, we mustn't allow his words to sway us. Remember your training."

"Training? And what good has it done for you, the so-called highest order of angels? Is it all just a farce?" I mocked, my voice dripping with malevolence.

With a single sweep of my sword, I unleashed a devastating wave of darkness that tore through the fabric of space itself. Dark tendrils emerged from the ruptured void, snaking their way towards anything in their path, hungry to ensnare and destroy.

"Holy Light!"

Yarine, positioned below, cast a spell in an attempt to combat the encroaching darkness. However, to her dismay, the tendrils swayed and twisted, redirecting their sinister advance towards her, seeking to extinguish her life.

"Stay out of this, human! This is a battle of the divine!" Uriel interjected, swiftly positioning himself in harm's way to shield Yarine from the tendrils that emerged from the portal.

Despite Uriel's valiant efforts, the tendrils managed to pierce through his armor, leaving a grievous wound. It was a sacrifice he made to protect Yarine from certain death. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Yarine silently retreated alongside Emperor Lucious, channeling their magic to bolster the powers of the angels.

"Summon forth the Army of the Damned," I declared, my voice resonating with a commanding authority.

As my "Maximize Magic, Dark Arts" spell surged through me, the incantation for "Army of the Damned" grew even more potent. The undead that emerged from their graves were now elevated to tier three, possessing a semblance of cognitive ability. These superior undead exhibited enhanced agility, extraordinary strength, and an unparalleled resilience.

Pointing my finger towards the vulnerable humans below, I issued a chilling command.

"Annihilate them all!"

The Army of the Damned surged forward, crashing into the defensive lines of the valiant soldiers. Meanwhile, the archangels readied themselves for a counterattack.

Growing impatient with their slow preparations, I decided to take the initiative. Charging forward with my blade held high, I descended upon Uriel, who valiantly attempted to fend off my barrage of infernal strikes with his lance.

"A lance?" I questioned.

"This belongs to Raguil, you fiend," Uriel gritted through clenched teeth, his voice filled with righteous fury.

"If it belongs to him, then why do you carry it?" I taunted, savoring the hatred that began to consume Uriel.

"Because you KILLED HIM!" Uriel's voice seethed with righteous anger.

I did what now?

"Ah, so he has finally succumbed to the darkness," I sneered. "I can assure you, Raguil will experience excruciating pain under its influence, just as you will."

As the flames of hatred consumed Uriel, his once methodical attacks became erratic and unpredictable. His lance grazed my armor with each strike, leaving deep gouges and fractures in the once pristine surface. The relentless waves of holy energy emanating from his weapon proved relentless, relentlessly chipping away at the fortified defense of my exquisite armor. With every collision, fragments of my protective shell crumbled and fell, scattering upon the ground as a testament to the destructive power of Uriel's relentless assault. The resounding clash between our opposing forces reverberated through the cathedral, a symphony of destruction that mirrored the inner turmoil brewing within us both.

Swiftly unlocking the gates to my vault, I summoned forth the Shield of Damnation. Crafted through the fusion of necromantic energies and demonic craftsmanship, this shield served as a formidable defense against incoming attacks. Though I held disdain for relying on such defensive measures, this opportune moment called for its deployment. The shield emitted a malevolent aura, casting debilitating debuffs upon any foe who dared make contact with its surface.

Observing Uriel's loss of control, Anauel swiftly came to his aid. Meanwhile, Raziel took position at the forefront of the human army, lending his angelic powers to stem the tide of encroaching undead.

Seeing the desperation of the situation they were facing, Anauel decided to act. Harnessing his abilities of unity, he invoked his trump card, his voice resonating through the air.

"Blessing of the Three Trees!"

Uriel, regaining control of his emotions, stood resolute before Anauel, determined to protect him from any harm that I might inflict. The turmoil that had clouded his judgment had subsided, and he now recognized the gravity of the situation.

"I will not let you harm him," Uriel declared, his voice infused with a newfound resolve. "I refuse to succumb to the darkness that threatens to consume me. I stand here as a defender of light and justice."

Though I felt a pang of disappointment, I couldn't help but appreciate the strength of Uriel's character. It seemed that he had found his footing once again, ready to face me with the unwavering conviction of an archangel.

"Very well, Uriel," I responded, my tone laced with a mix of admiration and disdain. "Prepare yourself, for I shall show you the true extent of my power. This battle will mark the end of your futile resistance."

Charging forth at Uriel, our clash of weapons began as I brandished my long demon sword against his lance. While he struggled to control the unfamiliar weapon, I took advantage of his vulnerability and attacked from angles he found difficult to defend against. Despite my efforts, he skillfully parried each of my strikes, frustrating my attempts to land a decisive blow. However, a swift and unexpected kick to his armor sent him crashing to the ground, momentarily stunning him.

As I turned my attention to Anauel, who was nearing the completion of his spell, a barrage of spells from below aimed towards the sky distracted me, causing a slight disruption. My gaze shifted downward, revealing a battlefield strewn with thousands of lifeless undead corpses. These corpses, unable to be resurrected through necromantic means due to Raziel's intervention, lay motionless on the ground. The enemy magicians had succeeded in diverting my attention from Anauel's progress.

Their plan worked flawlessly, and just as Anauel finished his chant, arcane magical circles aligned with the heavens, causing the clouds to part. From above, a scorching ray of light descended upon me, searing my flesh and causing me to scream in unbearable agony.

"Your reign of terror ends here," Uriel declared, determination etched on his face as he witnessed my struggle. "You cannot withstand the purity of the divine. It is time for you to face the consequences of your actions."

"HAHAHAHAHA! SO THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE CAPABLE OF! AGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH! THE PAIN!!! SO EXCRUCIATING! SO.... AMAZING!"

As the searing light continued to engulf me, I fought against it, my defiance fueling my resistance. Through gritted teeth, I managed to utter words of defiance amidst the torment.

"I am the harbinger of darkness! The lord of Evil! I am the one who will bring this world to its knees! Tremble mortals and despair!"

"Madness..." Uriel spoke, rising from the ground as everyone watched me in the sky, witnessing my struggle against the god-tier magic being cast upon me.

The ray of light not only unleashed its devastating power upon me but also had an unexpected effect on the soldiers beneath it. As the light enveloped them, their wounds began to mend almost instantaneously, and the injured soldiers were restored to full health. It was a remarkable display of restorative magic, but something was amiss.

"Why isn't he running away?!" Uriel questioned, his voice laced with confusion and concern.

"YOU FINALLY UNDERSTAND..."

Shocked by my words, Uriel's expression turned grave as he tried to make sense of the situation.

"The spell... It should've killed him by now... No... It couldn't be..."

"Why? What is it? What's the issue?" Raziel questioned, his voice filled with urgency and curiosity.

"THE TREE OF LIFE! WITH TASILDOR NOW DEAD, YOU CAN NO LONGER... HARNESS THE FULL POWER OF THAT SPELL!" I declared, revealing their crucial weakness.

Harnessing the energies of hatred and malevolence that swirled within me, I unleashed a powerful burst of negative energy. Its sheer potency acted as a formidable counterforce against the god-tier magic invoked by Anauel. The once blinding holy light that had seared my skin now seemed feeble in comparison, its burning intensity neutralized.

As the malevolent energy radiated from me, a palpable shift occurred in the atmosphere. The forces of darkness seemed to converge, lending their strength to my cause. The air crackled with an unsettling aura, as if the very fabric of reality acknowledged my newfound power.

Slowly, my body began to regenerate, the burns inflicted by the divine light fading away. The pain that had consumed me moments ago transformed into a surge of raw determination, fueling my every move.

In the distance, screams echoed through the air, drawing everyone's attention to the unfolding chaos outside. The monastery building and the once serene gardens nearby were now engulfed in flames, casting an eerie glow over the scene.

With a sinister grin stretching across my face, I taunted them with my words.

"You're not the only one with a plan..."
