The void returned again to Aarons eyes as he was suddenly cut off for the second time on the same day. This is really starting to annoy me, he thought to himself as he began to reflect back on the events that have been transpiring ever since the cold morning which he tripped on the sidewalk.
As his consciousness was returning slowly to himself, his eyes began to flutter as they slowly opened, but to his surprise, it seemed that the void was still there and if he couldn’t tell any better, it would seem like it was even darker than before.
“Where am I?” He said to no one in particular as he was trying to figure out where he was. When thinking about where he was, he began to think back to the conversation with the strange butler man. Some of the words he was saying just did not make sense to him, with phrases one would not expect in a normal conversation. Such as when he said life is difficult, the reason being that of course it is difficult, but why bring that up specifically, it seems a little strange but that might just be to his understanding of societal norms which in this place he found himself in might be completely different.
Though of course the highlight from that conversation was the foreboding last statement he made. What did he mean by that specifically? There has to be a purpose to everything right? So what was the purpose of saying that, to strike fear?
As Aaron began to spout out his theories on what was happening, a voice suddenly rang out inside his head and a box popped up in his field of view, almost instantly and without warning.
Welcome to the World of Algar! Character creation will now begin in a few moments.
Aaron’s eyes almost popped out of his sockets as he read the message that seemed to be displayed in his mind but at the same time was in front of him. Am I… in a video game!?!? His only thought at the moment was that of this being a video game, character creation, a system of some sort, it was all making sense in a way, especially to what that man said that this should not be treated as a game.
Scratching his head, he sat there in silence as he waited until the next message would pop up, putting his trust in whatever was occurring that it would play out in whatever way it was meant to do. After a minute or so, finally the long awaited message finally popped up in the blue box that was displayed before.
Step One, Choose a Race!
This really is like a game, I can do gam-, he began to think to himself proudly, seemingly ready for anything that would be thrown at him but just when a list began to pop up with races such as elves and dwarves, everything flashed red suddenly.

The message stayed there on red for a few seconds before finally turning back to blue and the message that followed confused Aaron.
Race selected, Akrian: Though there are little to none members of this race, they have a longer life with only few others living older. They look almost the same as humans and have been thought to be descendants of this prevalent race through Algar. +2 Agility, +1 END, PER and SPI, +3 Bonus Stats per Level.
When seeing this, Aaron began to try his hardest to find out if he had ever heard of this race before but no matter how hard he tried to search his mind for answers, none came. Why was his race selected for him and why did this happen to him? Did the same thing happen to the others? He began to move his hands across his hair as the beginning of a headache began to pierce his nerves as he stared at the message, putting himself in deeper thought than he already was.
Step Two, Choose a Class!
Staring at the message for the better part of a minute, not wanting to get his hope up for it to be thrown back in his face, he finally let out a sigh of relief when the same error of some sort didn’t occur like before.
Three options will be given based on chance and other factors, I wish you the best of luck because your fate will be decided on this one thing.
Another startling message in its own right. Instead of how in normal games you get to choose a certain class from all of the options, instead it requires that you choose from only three, slimming down the options to a gamble if anything. He started to slowly move his hands against each other, calming himself down and to prepare himself for the next messages to come.
First Option: Bystander, you watch things go by as if they do not affect you, taking hardly any action on what is going on and not wanting to stop it, thinking someone else will eventually do it for you. This was decided through actions done during your life on Earth
Second Option: Farmer, as someone who grows food for others, you are integral to society but most likely will not be noticed by anyone except those around you, living the rest of your days harvesting crops. This was decided off of a prediction and may help with the career you pursue in your new life.

Third Option: Random! What is better than leaving it up to luck if you have no other options?
After reading all these options, he let out a huge sigh and kept reading the options over and over again. These are all terrible options, he thought to himself, No matter how much I think about it, I am so screwed. His mind kept spiraling through the options as he looked through them for the third time and finally set his eyes on the last option, random.
Obviously bystander seemed like a class that a normal person would have in life and achieve mediocre things so that was out of the question for an aspiring young man who wanted to do something with his life. The farmer was the same in a way, where it would only get him so far and he would never do anything grand in his life that he would be proud of and so his final hope was in the random option.
With one last minute of thinking and a final breath to prepare himself, he finally picked Option 3, random.
After a short delay, the blue blox finally disappeared and with it again showed the same corrupted red box as before and seeing it could only make him grimace as to wait may happen to him.

Just like before, it only took a few seconds for the normal blue box to finally reveal the fate that had been given him.
Class Chosen: Shadow Weaver, the shadows around you welcome you with open arms and you have the ability to control them and make them bend to your will. +2 INT, +1 SPI, +1 AGI. Class Skill gained, Shadow Control!
Could have been worse, he thought to himself as he began to think about the implications of the class that he was given. First, something was extremely off about this whole character creation process. Even though he hadn’t experienced this before, you would think that something that seemed to hold his whole life in balance would be able to be slightly less glitchy than it already was.
Secondly, this class is something he had never heard of before, even though playing through all the games he has played and books he has read, this wasn’t mentioned once so it seemed that this world had its own classes that it made but now that he thought about it, he was sure he never heard of the bystander class either.
After a few more seconds of quietly thinking to himself, the next blue box finally revealed itself to him.
Step Three, Ideology!
Picking Ideology via personality traits, beliefs, race, and class. Please stand by while your Ideology is loading.
Once he was down reading, he blew out some as he slowly dropped himself onto what seemed to be the floor and looked up. But right as he closed his eyes to relax, he heard someone's voice call out to him.
“Your name is… Aaron correct?” The voice of what seemed to be a young woman questioned him and as soon as he heard the voice that seemed to have came from nowhere, his eyes shot open as he glanced around to look for the origins of where it came from.
When he looked to his right, he got the answer he was searching for. It was a woman with luscious grey eyes that seemed to see past his body and into his soul himself, judging him ever so slightly. Her white hair shone through the void that he placed in light a lighthouse in the middle of the night, piercing through the bleak atmosphere.
Completely forgetting about her question, Aaron just sat there and continued to stare at her in awe. After a few seconds the teen turned her head slightly and asked him the same question. “Am I correct to assume your name is Aaron?” After a brief pause until he realized what she was trying to say, he quickly nodded his head.
Once she finally got her answer, she got this sort of proud look in her face and seemed to cheer up after finally getting the assurance she needed. “Nice to meet you Aaron, I am Trishta.”
“Oh uhm… nice to meet you too…?” Aaron said after a brief second of still thinking about how she suddenly appeared here in this location.
“Mhm I know it's nice to meet me.” She beamed as she heard his words, but her words were nothing less of haughty in itself. She cleared her throat softly and put on a straight face, almost as if those emotions from before were nothing but a trick of the mind. “Now that introductions are done with, I am your sponsor.”
“What do you mean sponsor?”
“It means that I am going to support you on your journey, through thick and thin I'll be there.”
Aaron stared at her with blank eyes, not knowing what to even think about what she just told him, “What do you mean by that?”
“It means that I am going to be your system.” Trishta said it all matter of factly, like what she just said wasn’t the least bit abnormal at all. Aaron really couldn’t tell if she was being serious or not, this was all so confusing to him, especially with how she had suddenly appeared out of thin air without any warning.
“I see you don’t believe me, no matter, it will all make sense soon so just hold tight and prepare for a world of pain.” She said as she made a sadistic smile and reached over to Aaron in a flash, grabbing onto his neck in an instant.
Before he could even react to her, she lifted him up with her one hand in an uncanny feat of strength. After the initial shock, Aaron began to put up a struggle as he grabbed on to her arm with both hands and tried to push her arm back down so he would have a little room to breath. But in reaction to his struggles, she only smiled and light suddenly started flooding through the arm that was holding Aaron by the neck, going into his neck and both arms holding onto the funnel of the light.
When the light began to enter his body, searing pain started shooting into his brain, feeling like a thousand needles were piercing his skin all at the same time, almost making him pass out in the process but luckily or maybe unluckily staying conscious by the skin of his teeth. As more light began seeping its way into him, he could feel the pain exponentially getting worse. His vision was beginning to fade out as it kept going but right before he was about to slip into darkness once again, the pain suddenly cut out and he was dropped to the ground in an instant.
Once he landed flat on his feet, his immediate reaction was to keel over the stomach acid left in his stomach since he still hadn’t eaten since he threw up last time. His whole body was numb from the pain, it was the worst pain he had ever experienced in his life, maybe even all the pain he had experienced wouldn’t be able to equal the amount that he felt just moments ago.
After keeling over, he fell to the ground, losing all energy to even move a finger, and everything began to fade to black as one last blue message popped up.
Ideology selected: The Twin, +3 CHA, +2 INT, +1 VIT. Skill Gained, The Twin’s Gift.
Following the last blue message was the last red message.
[See you when you wake up!]
